I hated awkward silence. It was just so... Awkwardly silent.
That's what was happening right now. It was, as I quote, awkwardly silent.
I really need to expand my vocabulary.
Fang and Iggy were just staring into the distance, probably thinking completely random thoughts. Nudge, for once, was quiet. I think someone might of found an off switch on her, finally. Gazzy had yet to wake up, and Angel was just stirring.
And that Percy dude was starting to majorly freak me out.
Fine, fine. He was just staring into the distance, like Fang and Iggy, and probably me too now. But the look on his face? It was like he was used to this stuff. Like I said, weird.
I was the only one that was able -and allowed- to say this was normal. And I only did that because I felt like it. This sucked.
Boo who.
Suddenly three whitecoats came in flanked by two Erasers. Their gazes scanned the room, finally resting on Percy whatever-his-last-name-if-he-even-had-one was. Uh oh.
Percy narrowed his eyes. "What are y'all, children's doctors? Along with your side-kicks of the Big Bad Wolf replicas. Huh. Well, just to tell you, if you want to make it into the comic book world, try harder. Get some creepy masks or something. You look really lame without them."
I risked a quick glance at Fang, smirking at him. This dude had some attitude with a capital a. Oh joy. Join the club, please. You might just get free discounts on extra weirdness on Saturdays. You just never know.
I'm a weird, messed up kid, yes. I'm sorry, I thought that we had already agreed on that. No? Well, changed my mind, I'm not sorry at all.
I was jerked back into reality when one of the Erasers growled.
"Shut up, pretty boy. You're coming with us."
