I've fought my fair share of Erasers. So you think that I would be ready for any surprise attack they throw at me, right? Wrong. Me and the flock had just gotten some AWESOME icecream, let me just tell you that.
We were in New York again, in the middle of Central Park, sitting on a bench eating out chow. And just as I was about to devourer my delicious creamy snack, THEY POUNCED ON US from the bushes behind us.
They dragged us head over heals backwards into the same bushes they were in, and before we could react, shoved a black, sickly sweet smelling hood over all of our heads, picked us up as if we weighed nothing-which is not far from the truth-and then not-so-gently threw us into the back of a white truck. The doors slammed shut and I started to feel really lightheaded.
"Flock," I croaked out. "I think we're headed back to the school." Then it all went black.

My eyes fluttered open finally at the sound of voices. And not just any voices. Jeb's voice, and, thank goodness, not the one in my head.
I sat up, glancing around at my surroundings, and my heart sank as my eyes confirmed what I already knew. The flock was back at the School.
I glance around the room, deciding to ignore the voices outside the cramped room for now. It was an average grey room with no windows. I cringed.
I looked around at my few surrounding dog cages. I saw Nudge, Gazzy, Angle, Fang, Iggy, and some boy about me, Iggy's, and Fang's age with raven black/brown hair, a deep tan, and sea green eyes.
The only ones awake were Nudge, Fang, the boy, and me. Nudge and Fang were talking in low voices, not noticing that I was awake. The boy was glancing around the room, and finally his eyes settled on Fang, Nudge, and me.
Fang suddenly turned around, as if sensing that the boy was looking his way, and saw me awake too. "Hey." He said.
I was too glum to roll my eyes. "Hey Fang." I replied.
He glanced at the boy, then whispered at me, "Do you know who the boy is?"
I shook my head. "Probably just another experiment." I whispered back.
He nodded. "Lets find out." He whispered before turning to the boy.
"Hey," he started in a measured voice, "I'm Fang."
The boy nodded and gave a half-hearted lopsided grin, seemingly deciding to trust us. "Percy. And if your trying to not have me hear your conversation, you might wanna whisper quietly." He said, thought it was obvious that the words had a double meaning.
He looked Fang in the eyes then, making it look like he was just nervous, slightly nodded towards a spot behind him on the wall. Whoa. Skilled acting there, dude.
Allowed my eyes to flicker up to were he nodded to, and saw a tiny black modern video-camera. I nodded my thanks to him, wondering why he was the only person in the room with us right now.
His sea green eyes glanced around him, barely visible through the thick cage bars, and he drummed him fingers against the floor. That guy must have a serious case of ADHD.
I glance at Fang and Nudge, and are eyes meet, all of our thoughts easily visible by the expression on out faces. We would trust the mysterious boy.
For now.
