The Ninjas
Lloyd decided to take a stroll around the village, albeit, he will be careful since his foot is still healing. The small houses were perfect for a family. The sounds of families laughing as they talked. The sound of children playing with friends.
One of Morro's powers as a ghost, is that he could decide whether he could be seen by someone or not. Also, he could disappear whenever he wants, so that's fun.
"You know, this village is much more peaceful than I imagined," Morro said.
"What makes you say that?" Lloyd asked.
Morro shrugged. "I don't know. I just thought that maybe, sometimes, that there would be some kind of kidnap or murder."
"What the-?!"
"I know, I am soooo dark! Some people shouldn't even be hearing about this, especially someone young like you."
"Pfft-I'm not that young!"
"You're ten."
"I'm old enough to hear about that stuff!"
"Uh-huh, sure..."
They passed by a candy shop, which caught Lloyd's attention of course.
"Look, it's a candy store!" Lloyd exclaimed.
"I know that genius. I'm not blind," Morro remarked.
"Do you have money?"
"Uh, I died with nothing on, so does that answer your question?"
"Kinda..."
Lloyd's stomach growled.
"Looks like someone is hungry~" Morro taunted.
"Shut up!" Lloyd said, his cheeks blushing in embarrassment.
"Now that I think about it, you haven't eaten for like, what, two days?" Morro said.
"I don't know. I don't usually care until I'm hungry," Lloyd said.
"Which probably explains why you're caring that you're hungry right now."
"...Most likely..."
"Anyways, I think we should head somewhere else."
"And where would that be?"
"Honestly, I don't know."
"Then why did you suggest that we head somewhere else?!"
"Because, I've already been here before I died, and the other place I've ever been was..." Morro's expression went somber as he trailed off.
"And the other place you've ever been was..." Lloyd urged Morro to continue.
Morro shook his head. "Nevermind."
"Ooookaaaayy, definitely not weird," Lloyd said as he saw Morro turn his back on him.
"Hey, you wanna talk about it?" Lloyd asked after there was a few seconds of awkward silence.
"Uh, not really," Morro admitted.
"You sure? Because it seems to be bothering you," Lloyd said.
"It's nothing," Morro snarled making Lloyd back away a bit, trying to blink back tears. The last time Morro kinda lashed out on Lloyd, it didn't went well...
Morro sighed.
"Sorry about that, it's just...that...I guess it brings bad memories," Morro said.
"I see," Lloyd said as he decided to get Morro's hand and brought him back to the forest.
"Why are we here again?" Morro asked.
"You need to clear your thoughts! And the forest seems quite peaceful, so throw away those negative things and move in with the positive things!" Lloyd exclaimed.
Morro chuckled.
"You know, for a kid, you do seem to know what'll help others," Morro said.
Lloyd shrugged. "I just do what I can."
There was a pause.
"Now close your eyes!"
"Okay! Okay! My eyes are closed!" Morro said as he closed his eyes
"Now, just get rid of all those awful memories and move inside with the best memories you have!" Lloyd said.
"Okay, alright," Morro took a deep breath before floating in the air, legs crossed, and him trying to get out all the awful memories.
After what seemed hours, for Lloyd, he was back on the ground, and looked surprisingly calm.
"So, you're okay now?" Lloyd asked.
Morro nodded. "Yeah."
"Alright! Anyways, we should probably steal some candy!" Lloyd exclaimed.
Morro cocked an eyebrow. "Why candy though?"
"Because it's the only thing I'm hungry for!"
"I am not stealing candy even if I had too."
"And why not?"
"Just 'cause I don't wanna."
"Come on! Pleaseeeeee."
"No- Don't give me that face! Stop it!! STOP IT!!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Why did I agree with you?" Morro seethed, as he was now behind the candy store.
"Because you can't resist my 'sad-kitty-cat-face!'" Lloyd exclaimed.
Morro sighed. "You got a point there..."
"Since you're a ghost, you can just go inside the candy store when it's night, grab the candy, and phase out of there in no time!" Lloyd said.
"Okay, I'll get your candy at night, we sleep in the forest for tonight, and tomorrow we head somewhere else, okay?" Morro said.
"Okay!" Lloyd quickly agreed.
"But you," Morro bopped Lloyd's nose. "Are staying at the forest."
"Awww..." Lloyd pouted. "Why?"
"Because it's...safer there," Morro argued.
"Awww...you do care about me," Lloyd teased.
"Shut up!" Morro replied, blushing.
"Alright! Alright! I'll stop teasing!" Lloyd said, laughing a bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Night struck, and Lloyd stayed at the forest. The air was so cold, it could make you shiver. Lloyd leaned back onto a tree's trunk. He shivered slightly. He was waiting for Morro to come back.
Meanwhile, Morro was back in Jamanakai Village. No one was outside at the time, and many stores were closed.
"Which one is the candy store- Ha! Found it!" Morro said to himself seeing the familiar small store, which held a sign: William's Candy Store.
Morro phased through the store's door and found himself seeing a bunch of candy.
"Hmmm...let's see, which candy does Lloyd like?" Morro asked himself as he looked at the different type of candy.
"There's chocolate candy bars, lollipops, these things called 'jolly ranchers', also- OH MY FSM! SPACE HAS CANDY?! THIS 'MILKY WAY' CHOCOLATE CANDY MUST BE VERY SPECIAL IF IT CAME FROM SPACE!!!" Morro, literally and mentally, yelled.
"I'm just gonna..." Morro grabbed a handful of 'Milky Way's' candy, also some few lollipops and 'jolly ranchers'.
He went back to Lloyd, who was shivering from the very cold air.
"Hey, are you okay?" Morro asked Lloyd.
Lloyd turned around and saw Morro.
"Yeah. I'm fine," Lloyd lied, trying to put a fake smile, but it was obvious that he was not okay.
Morro put the candy next to Lloyd.
"Are you cold?" Morro asked.
"M-Maybe a little," Lloyd said, shivering.
"Hmmm...I'll be right back!" Morro said before he disappeared again.
Morro went to a each store until he found what he needed. He had found a fuzzy blue blanket. It was soft and cozy. It was perfect. It was Morro approved.
He came back to Lloyd, who was shivering more than before.
Lloyd didn't know of Morro's presence, and thought he was still in the village.
"It's cold..." Lloyd whispered to himself. "What I wouldn't give to get out of this forest...or out of life..."
Morro sweared that he saw some tears fall down fall down his face as he said that.
"Ahem!" Morro coughed grabbing Lloyd's attention.
"I-uh...y-you didn't hear that, r-right?" Lloyd stuttered.
Morro pretended to not know.
"Hear what?" Morro said.
"Oh, uh...it's nothing- what you have there?" Lloyd pointed to the blanket.
"Oh, this," Morro said as he showed him the blanket. "Is a blanket. I knew you were cold, so I decided to get one for you."
"Thanks," Lloyd smiled as Morro placed the warm blanket on him. Lloyd snuggled into the blanket which provided warmth. Morro sat next to Lloyd.
Lloyd yawned, candy forgotten, and fell asleep, his head against Morro's shoulder. Morro didn't mind, as he also fell asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"AHHHHHHH!!!! IT JUST WENT RIGHT THROUGH ME!!!!"
"Jay!!! You're gonna wake up the kid!!"
Lloyd heard voices, but he was too sleepy to pay attention.
"Annoying people go away," Lloyd said groggily as he threw the blanket over him and tried to go back to sleep again.
"Lloyd, we got company..." a familiar voice said.
"Ugh...can't it wait..." Lloyd said as he took the blanket off him and over to Morro, who was next to him, and he wrapped his arms around the ghost, burrying his face into Morro's shirt, as he was still sleepy.
"Actually, no it can't," a new voice said.
Lloyd turned his head around and saw 4 people standing there.
One was in a red suit, another in blue, one in a black suit, and the last one in white.
