An April shower pattered on the window, waking Michaela up. The urge was strong to stay in bed, but she knew she had things to do – mostly getting enough work done on her essay before meeting Sarah.

In town, she paid her fee from the hit into a discreet savings account then used two different cheap clothing stores to buy a white blouse and black tights, and a black skirt with a small pocket. In a charity shop, she bought a cheap pair of black pumps. She paid cash, of course, so they were as untraceable as possible.

In the library, she knuckled down to some work, then stretched her legs by getting a coffee from the canteen. When she got back, Sarah was leaning on the desk in a miniskirt, looking hot. Michaela admired her openly and Sarah offered her "lunch" back at her flat.
