Laxus's Pov

I just took a solo month long job to get away from the guild and get a breath of fresh air from the Thunder Legion. Also....I've been feeling weird around Mirajane. When I told her I wanted the job I couldn't look her in the eyes. What is going on with me?

Mira's Pov

"*Sigh* another loong day almost over!" I say cheerily to no one in particular while I reach for the paper towels. 

"That's for sure, I can't wait to go home and sleep!" Lucy exclaims back to me.

"Oh, why don't you leave now?" I ask her, it's not like this is school and you're forced to be here!

"Well you see there's been some kidnappings around lately, and Master has requested us girls to be accompanied by a male when we walk around town! I thought you of anyone would know?" She replies. I realize I probably haven't been paying much attention lately, my headaches that are coming and going are rather distracting.

"Oh, well I'm Mira the Shedevil! I'll be fine by myself!"

"Ookkaaayy, here at least take one of Cana's cards in case you get in trouble," Lucy hands me a small card with my face one side and Cana's on the other.

"LUCY CAN WE LEAVE NOW!?" Natsu bellows across the room.

"I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU BAKA!" She yells back.

"I see you have to go," I laugh, "see you tomorrow!" She waves to me on her way out, along with bidding Levy farewell also.

About ten minutes later the slowly emptying guild has almost cleared out. In a corner Levy continues to read a book, Gajeel looking over her shoulder. And Warren has fallen asleep at a table. I walk around the side of the bar and shake him awake.

"Uh Warren, it's getting late and I'll be leaving soon, so I don't know if you want to leave or not," I say to him. He bolts up, looks around, and races out the door.

"Okay then?..."

Levy stands up, Gajeel follows, and I'm the last in guild just like everynight. I wipe off the tables one last time, make sure the mugs and glasses are arranged properly, and collect my things to leave for the evening.
Just then the doors burst open.

"Oh Warren did you forget somet~" I start, but realize it's not the telepathy mage.

"Sorry Laxus. I'm surprised you're here, it's a day early!" He just raises an eyebrow at me and quickly looks away. I laugh at him. You know, I feel like I keep my secret attraction to him pretty quiet. The only person who knows is Erza. At least to my knowledge.

"Gah!" I suddenly cry out. My head bursts into pain, and just above my stomach feels like it's going to explode! Bracing myself against the bar counter and clutching my waist, I hear my name called. It sounds so far away. My vision darkens, white spots infiltrate my line of sight. Then I crumple to the ground, passing out instantly.

Normal Pov

"Mira? MIRA!" The blonde male shouts. He grabs a communication lacrima and wakes Makarov up as quickly as he can. Instead of the Master arriving first though, Cana rushes in holding a glowing card. By now Laxus has moved Mira into the center of the room, laying on her back.

"What happened!?" Cana demands.

"I don't know! One minute she was fine, and the next she collapsed clutching above her stomach! That all I know!" He almost shouts, panicking.

"Go get Porlyusica! Hurry Laxus go!" He nods and rushes out of the guild sprinting top speed to the forest at the brunette's command.

Laxus's Pov

It'll be okay Mira, I'll help you!
