Chapter 8- Final Chapter!
Ty POV~
I sat in the bushes, waiting. It was the last day of the 3 week period, and 50 more hybrids had shown up. The government hadn't tried anything yet, but they might decide to make a last-ditch effort to catch the Hybrids.
I heard someone behind me, and whipped around, pinning them against a tree. It was Sky. I let go, and he leaned against the tree trunk.
"There's a guy approaching from the east. We can't tell if he is a Hybrid or not from this distance." Sky reported and I nodded. We weaved in between the tree trunks until we reached the eastern border of the forest.
Sure enough, there was a figure in the distance, slowly moving forward. The scouts were running around, making final preparations in case it was an enemy. If it was an enemy, they would have their weapons ready.
"Take to the trees." I ordered them when they were done, and everyone scampered up a tree, including Sky. I joined them after making sure there were no signs that we had been here.
A little while later, the person stumbled into the forest, exhausted. He plopped down under the tree I was in, and leaned against the trunk.
"They couldn't have just dropped me off here. There's no one in sight, but noooooo, they have to drop me off 5 miles away." The man muttered bitterly. This sounded pretty suspicious, and he didn't smell or look like a Hybrid.
I signaled the others, and they all dropped to the ground. The man looked up in surprise, and shrank back against the trunk as everyone drew their weapons.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I called down at him, and he glanced around, trying to locate who had spoken.
I smirked, and launched myself down from the tree. I landed next to him with so much force that it formed a small dent in the ground. I drew my obsidian sword and pointed it at his neck, my tail swishing back and forth irritatedly.
"I'll ask again. Who are you and what do you want?" I growled at him, pressing my sword down on his throat.
"M-my name is Ben *insert name here*. I am an ant Hybrid, and I was looking for the Hybrid Sanctuary." The man said, shrinking back from my blade.
"Ant Hybrids don't exist. You are a government agent, aren't you?" I told him, narrowing my eyes. The man cursed.
"Yes. I wasn't told that I would be found out and threatened. Please! I have a wife and kids!" The man started to beg.
"You're lying. I can tell by the way you smell." I told him, and he swore again and stopped begging. I turned to the others. "Kill him and fly his body out to their car. He said they dropped him off 5 miles away."
They all nodded, and I walked away with Sky. The man's death would show them that we were serious. The sun was starting to set. Once they were back, it would be time to leave. But there is something I must do first...
"Sky." I said to him, earning his attention.
"Yea, Ty?" He replied.
"There's something I've been meaning to tell you." I said nervously, starting to fidget. I had turned back into my human form as we walked.
"Me too, but you can go first." Sky told me.
"Sky... I think I love you." I confessed.
"It's funny. That's what I was going to tell you." Sky told me, grinning from ear to ear. I was too shocked to move, and then Sky leaned in and kissed me. Sparks flew, and I kissed him back. Once we parted, I smiled at him.
"Lets get going, the others should be back by now." I told him, and he nodded. We then walked back to the others, and teleported away. We never looked back.
