Chapter 7
Ty POV~
As we ran down the hall, we encountered a huge group of guards. There were 30 of them, running down the hall at full speed, probably to see what had happened. When they saw us, they stopped in their tracks. After staring for a moment, they drew their swords and attacked us.
"We've got this, don't worry! Now go and press that button!" Solace told us, so me and Sky went on down the hall, leaving Sparklez and Solace to deal with the guards.
When we finally reached the office, there were only two guards. I quickly took them out with my purple fire, and when they fell to the floor I stepped into the office.
There were thousands of keys hanging on the walls, one for each cell. I ignored them, going straight to the desk and startling to poke around. 'Where is the stupid button?' I thought to myself, frustrated. I felt around underneath the desk, and my fingers brushed an indent. I pushed it, and a secret compartment opened up, revealing the button in question. I pushed it, and ran outside.
"Come on." I said to Sky, and we retraced our steps. We found Sparklez and Solace killing the last guard. Solace punched him in the neck, and we heard a "crunch". The guard dropped to the ground, dead, his head hanging at a weird angle.
As the four of us continued down the hall, we met up with each of our friends, and I gave them instructions to spread out and tell every hybrid they could find where the island was, to go to it, and remove their trackers.
Finally it was only me and Sky. We walked down to the mess hall, passing the occasional hybrid.
In the mess hall, there was a big camera, a computer, and an antenna in one corner. Ghost was bustling around it, making adjustments.
I walked over, and whispered in his ear "Boo."
Ghost instantly went transparent, shooting all the way up to the ceiling. When he realized it was just me, he floated back down and changed back to normal.
"It's ready, I just have to turn on the camera." Ghost said, and I nodded.
"How'd you do it?" Sky asked, puzzled.
"I hacked into the Mincraftia Alert Program, it connects every tv, radio, and cell phone to one network in case there is a world-wide emergency. It allows the government to warn the people." Ghost replied. It was the same network that had announced that all hybrids were "evil". I walked in front of the camera, turned into my human form, and nodded.
"We're live in 3...2...1..." Ghost said, just like a cameraman. I put on my best smile.
"Hello, Minecraftia. I bet you all are wondering why you can see or hear me, and why the hell your programs or conversations have been interrupted. And by a 17 year old!" I said, rolling my eyes and throwing my arms up into the sky dramatically.
"Well, I'm no ordinary 17 year old." I said, letting my arms fall to my sides, my smile vanishing to be replaced by a look of pure hatred and rage.
"If you all don't know what I mean by that, I'll just show you." I transformed, and I could almost hear the gasps of the viewers. I have the camera an grin, showing off my fangs.
"Now, I'm here to tell you all a little story. About what, you might ask. Well, it is the story of the Hybrids.
A long time ago, at the same time Notch created the first Minecraftians, another race was created. The Hybrids. They were people evolved from animals and mobs to be able to survive better where they were. For the first few centuries, the hybrids stayed out of sight. Then their peaceful homes were discovered by Minecraftian explorers, and the Hybrids ended up moving to cities and other Minecraftian places. But the Hybrids were not accepted, and they were treated like animals.
Notch, too busy helping his brothers Herobrine and the EnderDragon seal away the Wither -which Herobrine had accidentally created- to notice. So the Hybrids hid themselves amongst the humans, and a rough peace settled in for a century or so. But then the Minecraftians government decided that the Hybrids were too powerful and strange, and decided to name them all as 'evil'. The Hybrids were rounded up from their homes all across Minecraftia and sent to
one place.
A prison, where the Hybrids were treated like dirt and observed until they turned 18. Their skills and powers recorded, the government would try to have the hybrid parts of them transferred into a soldier, trying to create a loyal super soldier in case of an alien attack. But it would always fail, both the Hybrid and soldier ended up dying each time.
That is what has happened in this building. It is the history of the Hybrids. We are your equals, and you betrayed us." At that I bowed my head, filled with grief. When I had composed myself, I looked up again.
"I have been in this prison since I was 5 years old. A 5 year old, in a hell hole. I have watched hundreds of thousands of Hybrids get dragged past my cell to the laboratory and to their death. I am now 17 years old, and I have spent my entire life other than 5 years and a month in a prison. No birthday celebrations, no presents, no tv, no video games, no toys or joy whatsoever other than my friends. The best thing that ever happened to me was escaping this place. Then why am I back, you might ask." I paused to let all of the information sink in.
"I am freeing the rest of the Hybrids. We are all going far, far away, and there will be no more Minecraftians to enslave us. I have only made this call because there may be more Hybrids out there who were never captured. So, if you are indeed a Hybrid, then come to the western edge of the Forest of Fincayra (random name I read in a book- NOT MINE XD) at anytime in the next three weeks. If you are a Minecraftian, and trust me we'll know, then we won't hesitate to kill you. So, government, unless you want to lose a ton of soldiers, don't send any spies or assassins. Us Hybrids won't be bothering you anymore after this is over. Good bye!" I finished with a little wave and a peace sign, then Ghost cut the video.
"The Forest of Fincayra?" Ghost asked. "Why there?"
"That's only a pick-up zone. The real place is above the ocean. The Forest of Fincayra is un-mapped, and it's far from the ocean, so that's where the government will look for us." I answered with a grin. "Now lets get out of here."
