Chapter 3

Ty POV~

It was break time, where they let us all out of our cells. Sure, we can't go outside, but at least we are out. At the opposite end of the hallway the cells and the experiment room are on, there is a door leading to a huge gym, and from the gym there is another hallway that has the cafeteria and library, and also all the guard's living space, storage, and the wardens office. There is no warden, sadly. There is only the guards and the scientists and Sky. I was beginning to think that maybe we needed his help. Me and my friends met in our secret place. No one but us had found it. It was a secret room in the library, and was only accessible by pushing a hidden button on one side of the room and then running to make it before the gap closed. The room also had a passage with a door to the roof at the end, but only me, Bodil, Jason, and Seto could fly, even though none of them knows my hybrid I have told them that.
Once everyone was there, we started brainstorming.
"We could make a net and you guys could carry the rest of us out. Then we could get rid of the tracking devices they put in us and we could attack this building and free all the other hybrids." Mitch suggested.
"Two problems, where will we get the stuff to make the net, and where would all of the hybrids go?" Seto pointed out.
"We could go to the jungle. The mountains in the jungle are full of caves and underground rivers and lakes, and they are barely populated. Just a few cabins every once in a while." Jerome added.
"That solves where everyone would go, but what about the materials?" Seto said.
Everyone lapsed into silence once more, and then I spoke up.
"...I think I might know how." I said cautiously. "But you guys won't like it."
"Tell us anyways! We have to get out of this place!" Kermit said.
"Yea, I could care less how we did it." Husky added.
"When we come back, I'm going to enjoy getting revenge on the guards and scientists!" Bodil said, laughing evilly.
"I think we all will." Ant said.
"Just tell us!" Jason added.
"Ok... that new secretary guy seems like he would help us. He could sneak materials up here." I said. "We could also use stuff from our beds to make the net more solid."
"That sounds great!" Bodil said.
"Are you sure that we can trust the secretary?" Seto asked.
"Yea. He doesn't like this place either." I answered. "I can ask him about it the next time he comes to my cell. The scientists are forcing him to try and get me to reveal my hybrid form."
"Perfect." Seto answered, and with that resolved, we played games until break time was over.
When I got back to my cell, I laid awake until midnight, and then I summoned an enderman.
"What do you wish me to do?" It asked me in the ender tongue.
"I wish for you and your brethren to use the blocks you steal to create a hidden floating island that hybrids could live on safely and with everything they could ever need. Make it the size of an entire biome, with caves, ravines, ores, animals, plants, rivers, lakes, streams, and all the other elements found in this world." I told him.
"As you wish." The enderman replied, and then he disappeared to spread the word of their task.
I sat back and smiled. The problem of where we would go was solved... now we just had to escape.
