"How could he reject me?" I scream out loud to no one. The tears have already started, and I can't stop them. I'm not sure if I should be sad or angry, I think I feel both. Is this how Chat felt when I rejected him? I feel bad for him, at least someone loves me. Maybe I should apologize to him. But for now, I head home ready for a sleepless night.

I walk home, now silent tears streaming down my face. I was supposed to be doing Night Patrol, but one night wouldn't hurt.

I walk inside my house, the smell of cookies surrounding me. I let Tikki out. My parents won't be home for a while since they're visiting China.

I go to the bathroom to wash my face, though my eyes are still red. I change into my pajamas. I head back into my room, Tikki following me. Tikki opens her mouth, but before she can say anything she zooms somewhere else to hide and I hear tapping on my window.

Adrien's POV

I jump from roof to roof to find Marinette. I need to apologize to her. Just because Ladybug rejected me, doesn't mean I had to take my anger out on her. I spot her running home with tears in her eyes and ripped-up tickets. She starts yelling at no one in particular, probably to take her anger out. I watch her, and then she starts walking to the bakery.

I follow her. After she settles in her room, I knock on her window. She jumps and comes to open the window, and I slide into her room.

"What is it Chat? I don't have time for this." She says in a tired voice.

"Sorry princess, it's just I was on my way home from Night Patrol but then I saw you crying." I reply.

"And?"

"I was just a bit curious, since I was recently rejected."

"Is that so?"

"So what happened to you." 

"I wasn't rejected!"

"Princess, please don't lie to me."

She's silent for a bit, and then she answers,

"A boy in my class rejected me today.." She says, closing her eyes and obviously holding back tears.

"Would you like to talk about?"

"*Sigh* I guess I got nothing to loose. So today I decided to confess to a boy in my class, Adrien Agreste, he's a famous model so you've probably heard of him. Anyways, I mustered up the courage to ask him on a date today, since I had an extra ticket I thought I could ask him to come, but I was a fool. I asked him when we were alone. After I asked him if he would like to come he just told me, 'No.' I was a bit shocked at first but that wasn't the worst part, he took the tickets and ripped them in front of me, and then he said, 'I can't return your feelings.' I was surprised because he had never acted like that before.."

"Maybe he had a reas-"

"No! He was so cruel."

I never knew Marinette had a crush on me before. I was cruel. I should apologize tomorrow in school, I was still sore from my rejection, but I guess that isn't an excuse.

"How did you fall for him?" I ask, longing for more information.

"When he gave me an umbrella." She answered shyly.

I felt awful at that moment. Marinette never did anything to me, she's not the one who rejected me.

"M-Marinette!"

"Y.yes?"

"I want to tell you something.."

Hawk Moth's POV

"Young love, so crushing."

A butterfly lands on my hand.

"Go my lit- wait is that Chat Noir following her? Haha this will be certainly amusing!"
