Chapter 18
*Bailey's POV*
Kylo and I walked out of the elevator as we walked towards Snoke's throne until we stopped in the middle of the throne. Kylo kneeled down on one knee and he bowed his head down while I stood up, holding my hands together. I heard Snoke chuckling.
"Well, well, well. Kylo Ren, my worthy apprentice. I see you have brought the First Order's newest member. The Earth girl." Snoke said. "Yes, Supreme Leader. I have brought her here as you requested when her training was completed." Kylo said, looking up at Snoke. "I take that her training has been a success from what you have taught her." Snoke said. "A quick learner she is." Kylo said. "Good. Despite your failure with that scavenger girl that left you with that scar on your face, I'm impressed for you training the Earth girl. But yet, I can sense a weakness from within you, Kylo Ren, as a certain someone had mentioned to me about what's been happening between you two." Snoke said, looking at both me and Kylo. Oh, no. He knows about me and Kylo. But I was not scared of him. I kept my confidence up.
Then, Snoke chuckled. "But never mind that. Right now, I would like to meet her." He said. But, then, out of nowhere, my Lightsaber flew off my utility belt and Snoke caught it. "But it's best to take proper precautions. She seems to be unpredictable." He said, as he set my Lightsaber on the arm rest next to him. "Come over here so I could see you up close, my child." But I didn't move. Instead, I just glared at him. "Come over here...now." He said, sounding impatient.
All of a sudden, my body was being pulled, slowly, towards Snoke. He's using the Force to pull me towards him. I grunted as my feet were sliding on the floor and I was feeling the pressure within me from the Force. "I'm not gonna let you intimidate me, Snoke. You don't scare me." I said, while I was still sliding towards him. But Snoke ignored me and he chuckled instead. I was now standing three feet from Snoke. "Ah. Young Bailey. We finally meet. Kylo has told me so much about you and your quick learning skills from your training. For a girl from Earth who has no knowledge of the Force, I must say that I'm very impressed." Snoke said, as he began observing me. I only glared at him.
"You have so much of your father's looks. You have your mother's smile. You're the youngest of your two older sisters." He said. "You don't know nothing about my family." I said. "Oh, do I? Foolish child, I can read your mind when you were standing next to Kylo. Don't think I'm a fool." He said, as he chuckled a bit.
"Now, then, let me see what's in your mind." He said, as he stared in to my eyes. I felt a slight tightness around my head for a moment until it stopped. I let out a sigh of relief. "I see those wonderful moments in your life." Snoke finally said. Then, all of a sudden, I looked to my right side and I saw my memories appear. I gasped, quietly, and smiled as I saw the happiest moments in my life. The day I was born, my family, my friends, singing in the school talent shows and recitals, my oldest sister's wedding, becoming an aunt, twice, my high school dances, and my high school graduation. Then, it all disappeared.
"Yet, I see those negative moments in your life." Snoke said, as I looked to my left side and I saw the memories appear. My lips were parted as I gasped, quietly, and I felt like I was on the verge of tears as I was looking at the negative moments in my life. "Your parents fighting, being scolded by your parents, the peers in your school bullying you and calling names behind your back, people rejecting you, all of that." He said. I looked down after the memories vanished, feeling sad, hurt, and even angry.
"Tell me something, dear child, would you rather live through a life like that?" Snoke asked me. I didn't answer. I was still looking down. "Because there's a way to leave that all behind and start a new life as you would've wanted it. All you have to do is join the Dark Side, Bailey." I looked up at him. "You can be the most powerful being in the galaxy. You and Kylo can rule together. Just give me your answer and you can leave the life you go through that you've been wishing to do for so long." Snoke finished saying.
He wanted me to join the Dark Side just because I went through negative moments in my life. Sure, I go through them, but it's part of life and I would not join the Dark Side all because of that. I made my decision. "I'll never join the Dark Side." I said. Snoke glared at me. "And why's that?" He snarled.
"Just because I have negative moments in my life doesn't mean I have to join the Dark Side and leave it all behind. My parents, my sisters, and I may get into fights, but we still love each other no matter how many difficulties we might have. I may have been scolded by my parents for not doing what I was told to do, but that's called 'life lessons' that I'm taught so I don't do it again in the future. I may have been bullied and called names a lot in school, but those bullies turn into friends years later and I had forgiven them. I may have been rejected by people, but that happens to everyone. We may not be perfect, but we still love each other no matter what. That's what makes us a family. So, I'd rather choose my life that I live through and I don't want to forget those wonderful, happy, memorable moments in my life either." I said, with confidence.
There was a long pause for a minute. Snoke was speechless and he was shocked after I said all of that. I could even sense that Kylo was shocked as well. Then, once again, Snoke laughed. "Pathetic. Do you actually believe that I'm going to listen to that little speech of yours? Pitiful. Take Kylo Ren. He's been betrayed by his own family and he almost has the same problems in his life as yours and look where he is now. The Dark Side made him stronger and who he was meant to be." Snoke said.
Then, I was being pulled, slowly, towards Snoke until I stood close to him. I was now face-to-face with Snoke. He put a clawed finger under my chin and I looked straight into his blue, sinister eyes. "Forget about your family and friends. They mean nothing to you. They've probably forgotten all about you. Forget about your life on Earth. Leave all of that behind you. Join...the...Dark Side." He said. How dare he'd say something like that. I was even more angry. But I knew what my answer was. "Never!" I said, gritting my teeth.
Suddenly, Snoke pushed his clawed finger under my chin and he held his hand out as he used the Force to push me up into mid-air, where I was floating about five feet above the ground. I was breathing heavily as I worried what he going to do. Then, I saw Snoke move his hand down, where I was slammed onto the floor. I groaned in pain. I tasted blood on the bottom of my lip.
As I was, slowly, lifting myself up, I heard Snoke say, "Stupid, foolish, Earth girl. You were nothing but a waste of time. Even Kylo bringing you here and training you was a waste of time. I thought bringing you here and you joining the Dark Side could've made you the most powerful being in the galaxy. I...was wrong. And don't think I can't sense on what's been happening between you and Kylo. I read deeper into your mind. You're the cause of Kylo Ren's weakness that I can sense from within him. And because of that...you must die." I felt my heart stopped beating when he said those last three words. I stood up and faced Snoke, with a shocked expression on my face, then, I turned around and faced Kylo, who stood up.
"Kylo Ren, complete your training and kill the girl. She has made you weak as she seduced you with the word that I despise. Love, a weakness from within. You'll make your grandfather proud. Kill her and fulfill your destiny to become just like your grandfather, Darth Vader." Snoke said. As soon as Snoke was done speaking, I looked at Kylo, with fear in my eyes. "I will do as you say, Supreme Leader, and I shall do it, slowly and painfully." Kylo said, looking at me.
*Third Person's POV*
"Kylo, please don't do this! You're making a big mistake!" Bailey shouted. "No, I'm not, Bailey! I should've never brought you here! You were a waste of time! You tried to seduce me to the Light Side and change me back to my original 'Ben Solo' self! You've weakened me with all this...love!" Kylo shouted at Bailey. "Kylo, you're being used! Your father was right and you know it! Snoke is using you for your power and he'll destroy you when he gets what he wants!" I said. Snoke laughed. "You liar! My father was wrong! The Supreme Leader is wise and he made who am today! You're nothing but a...a...traitor!" Kylo yelled. A couple of tears fell down Bailey's cheek. "Kylo, please don't do this!" Bailey shouted. "No! I won't listen to a traitor like you! And what I meant by 'slowly and painfully', you will die like Padme should've died!" Kylo said.
"No, pl—" Bailey started to say, but Kylo held his gloved hand out towards her, like he's holding a cup, and Bailey held her neck with both of her hands as she started choking. Kylo looked at Bailey with a blank stare as she continued choking. "Kylo...please..." Bailey said, as she winked her right eye. Kylo, then, released her and Bailey collapsed on the floor on the right side of her body. Bailey laid on the ground with her eyes closed, motionless.
Kylo looked at Bailey with sadness and guilt in his eyes. What did he do? Snoke laughed manically. "Well done, Kylo Ren. You've proven yourself worthy of becoming just like Darth Vader. You've impressed me even more." Snoke said. But Kylo didn't say a word. He was still looking at Bailey. "Forget about her, Kylo. She got what she deserved. She wasn't worth it. Right now, we've got other stuff to do. We must find Skywalker and destroy him." He said. "That's what you think." A voice said.
Snoke looked ahead to where the elevator was and Kylo turned around and saw who it was. There stood a man with a beard, wearing Jedi robes, and a black glove on his right hand. Both Snoke and Kylo were shocked of who they saw. "Luke." Kylo said. "Skywalker." Snoke said, grinning.
