An explosive end

(GUYS. I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for how crappy this chapter was before. I didn't give it the time it deserved, and I feel pretty bad. Don't worry, though, because I fixed it. I changed a few things, and I also added little Lukesse and Axelivia moments too. If you don't like them, I'm sorry- I'll tell you when they're about to happen, so you can just end it there. For those who do like it- I hope you enjoy it.)

I ran for the redstone portal, my feet pounding on the stone ground.
The others followed suit, running behind me.
The red center surrounded me, but I kept running- sure that Jesse was right behind me.
The strawberry-colored atmosphere melted, revealing the sandy Mesa biome once again.
We were in the center of the town this time, PAMA leaning against her monitor, her bloody knife still clutched in her hand.
"Who do we have here?" Asked PAMA, standing up straight.
She walked towards me, and I pulled out my sword. I swung it, and she grabbed my hand, stopping me.
"That's not a very smart thing to do." She sneered, knocking my sword out of my hands with her strength.
Without warning, she grabbed my neck with both hands, an iron grip on my throat.
I was clawing at her, trying to get her to let go.
Jesse walked up to us, her diamond axe in hand.
My friends ran up to us, gathering in a circle.
"Not much longer-" huffed PAMA, struggling to hold onto me. "And he'll be dead."
Suddenly, all my friends grew still.
PAMA was controlling them- preventing them from fighting her.
Ivor had his potion in hand, if u could just get ahold of it...
She let go of my neck, and I collapsed to the ground, gulping in air.
"Fight him."Growled PAMA,
I expected to be brutally murdered by my friends, but Jesse was the only person who raised her weapon.
Looming over me, she stared at me- her red eyes boring into me.
I grabbed my sword, raising it protectively above me.
"Jesse-" I huffed. "Jesse she's not in control. You can fight it."
Jesse raised her axe, brining it down.
I rolled out of the way, Jesse's axe burying in the sand where my head was.
Jesse pulled her axe out of the sand, and I stood up, gripping my sword tightly.
"Jesse... Please..." I pleaded. "You can fight this..."
Jesse swung at me again, catching me off guard.
I raised my sword, but too late.
Fortunately, her axe didn't hit anything important, but it dragged across my arm, sending scarlet colored blood onto the sand.
Jesse raised her axe again, when I saw Ivor.
He had broken from his daze, and was sneaking behind PAMA- who was putting in all of her concentration to fighting me.
"Jesse... You're going to be okay. Everything's going to be okay..."
Jesse stared at me, frozen.
"Hello!" Yelled Ivor, tackling PAMA.
"What the heck are you- AHH!" Screamed PAMA, Ivor pouring the inky black liquid into her mouth.
He covered her nose and throat, forcing her to swallow.
Ivor scrambled away, waiting for PAMA to kill us.
But she didn't.
Instead, our friends were back to normal, freaking out because of PAMA'S dead body.
I turned towards Jesse.
Her eyes weren't red anymore, back to their emerald green- but she stayed frozen.
"Jesse?" I asked, panicked. "Are you okay?"
Jesse turned to me.
"I-I'm okay... I think I just need to..." She crumpled to the ground, kicking up a small cloud of dust.
"Jesse!" I yelled, kneeling beside her.
No response.
"Jesse... You can't just leave." I cried. "You can't give up now... Not after all we've been through..."
Jesse didn't move.
"Jesse, please!" Tears were streaming down my face.
I looked down at Jesse's body- appearing lifeless. Her eyes had closed, and her armor had failed it's purpose for protecting her. What I feared most- had happened.
Jesse had lost her humanity.
And now, looking at her lifeless body, I thought that Jesse didn't deserve this.
"Jesse..." I croaked, my throat feeling like it was closing up.
I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Jesse was a brave girl." Sighed Harper, tears gathering in her chocolate-brown eyes. "She saved so many people."
I looked back at Jesse.
I wanted to burst into tears, but I managed to say one last thing.
"I love you, Jesse." I couldn't say anymore.
Right as I said it, Jesse smiled.
It was the tiniest smile ever, so tiny that I questioned if I had imagined it.
"I love you too, Lukas." A single tear ran down her face, dripping into the sand.
She sat up, brushing sand off of her face.
I still couldn't bring myself to say anything, so I hugged her.
She hugged me back, gripping me tightly.
"I thought I lost you..." I whispered, not believing that Jesse was back.
"It's okay..." Jesse smiled. "I'm okay... Just a little... Disorienting..."
Ivor coughed loudly, staring at us.
"Save the romance for later?" He asked, his tone sharp.
I smiled, jesse and I breaking from out hug.
We just kind of awkwardly sat there, nobody wanting to be the first to speak.
"So I guess PAMA'S dead, then..." Sighed Jesse.
"Supposedly." Growled Ivor. "We still need to come up with a way to destroy the monitor, and destroy PAMA'S human body as well."
"Leave that to me." Smirked Axel, pulling out TNT.

---------------Time Skip---------------

The stars loomed overhead, billions of tiny lights in he sky.
There was a small campfire in the middle of us- Jesse and I, and all of our friends.
The fire crackled, sending a soft golden glow across the sand.
Axel had been working all day, on what- I have no idea.
Definitely something that had to do with TNT.
While the others tried to pass the time by doing different things- reading books, braiding someone's hair, playing with their own hair, or helping Axel- some people simply couldn't sit still.
They went around, exploring the town.
I don't know how they did it, but they managed to find people.
People that looked exactly like the people in PAMA'S army.
I always wondered why PAMA wanted us to kill her army.
Her army was made of robots- replicates of the real people, and she made us kill the creepily realistic robots to make us feel guilty.
Now, the townspeople were anxiously waiting for Axel's surprise.
"What do you think he's doing?" I asked Jesse.
She turned to me, looking like she had been lost in thought.
"Something involving explosives." She smirked.
"I know, but what did he make? TNT wouldn't take that long for a whiz like Axel to conjure up... What do you think he's-"
Suddenly, an ears-splitting explosion sounded, causing some people to scream.
My head whirled towards PAMA'S monitor, right as the whole thing burst into a million pieces.
After that, it was quiet.
Until I heard something that sounded like a scream.
Except it wasn't a scream.
It was a firework, exploding in the sky.
As soon as it did, hundreds more shot up into the sky, continuously.
They kept going, splashing the black sky with color.
I saw Olivia and Axel emerge from the crowd of people, their armor coated in gunpowder and redstone.
"Olivia helped me build a fireworks dispenser!" Yelled Axel, energetically.
Olivia blushed, and it was clearly visible even through the dim light.
"It was nothing, really..." Mumbled Olivia, smiling.
"Are you kidding me?!" Yelled Axel, shocked. "You did great!"
He pulled her into a hug, and I swear I've never seen Olivia look so red.
The fireworks were still going off.
"I'm going to tell you guys something-" grinned Axel, sitting down. "And you've got to promise not to freak out."
Our little group was huddled together, everybody else making new friends.
It was just us from home.
"What is it, Axel?" Laughed Olivia.
"I-" he paused. "Brought cookies!"
He pulled out chocolate chip cookies from his inventory.
"One for Olivia..." He blushed, handing her the cookie. "One for Petra... One for Harper.. Jesse... Ivor..."
He looked at me.
"And one for Lukas." He smiled, handing one to me.
"Thanks, Axel.." I grinned.
We sat there, staring at the sky, and enjoying our mini picnic.
The fireworks finally went out, making the sky black again.
"That was... Something." Laughed Jesse.
I grinned, looking at Jesse.
We sat there, looking at each other for a minute- nobody paying attention to us.
(Okay so there's Lukesse stuff here... If you don't like kissing, stop reading. Sorry, I just felt like I needed to warn people. XD) (there's also some axlivia)

Suddenly, Jesse leaned in and kissed me.
I didn't reject it, and I could hear the others stifling laughter, but I didn't care.
I didn't care about them- I was glad that Jesse was here, glad that I loved her.
She tasted sweet, like chocolate.
We broke apart, and she smirked.
I blushed, smiling.
"That was unexpected." Muttered Ivor.
"Actually, I thought it'd happen sometime." Smirked Olivia. "It is the perfect moment..."
Olivia got a devious look in her eye, and leaned over and kissed Axel on the cheek.
Axel's face turned bright red.
"Heh..." He smiled.
"You guys make me sick..." Muttered Petra.
"Love is in the air!" Sang Aiden, butting into our group.
"I hope you choke on it." Growled Petra, facing him.
"Aww, come on Petra." He smirked. "Don't get all upset just because they have dates and you don't."
Petra pulled Aiden's shirt, dragging him close to her.
"Mention my love life again and I will slit your throat." She snarled, pushing him back.
I laughed, as did the others.
My friends may be weird- but we've all got each-others backs.
But for now, I think I've had enough 'adventure' to last me a lifetime.
