Chapter 2
(Photo not mine- from Reddit. Car parking lot rainy night aesthetic. It's kinda comforting.)

"Oh, honey. You poor thing." My mother said as I laid In my bed, sick as ever.
"At least I have my bed." I said with piles of blankets on me and pillows surrounding me. Stitch staying close to comfort me.
"I brought you some tea. If you get hungry, just tell me. I'll get you whatever you want. And forget about having a sleep schedule, just rest up." My mom said sweetly.
"Okay." I smiled and curled up even more, In all my blankets. Even with all of them on me and the heat blasting. It was so cold outside and being sick made me even colder.
Winter had started but It wasn't going well so far, exams at school, layers of clothes that never seem to block out the cold air, then of course I got sick. We weren't to sure what It was at first, but we quickly found out, I had the flu. I've never had the flu before, even after all of these years.
I had stayed In my bed for hours, constant falling asleep. I tried to eat and drink regularly but I was just so, so tired.
The next day I still was feeling horribly sick, fever, aches and constant feeling exhausted.
"Honey, I need to go pick up your medicine and don't want to leave you here alone. So why don't you come with me, It will be quick. And we can get some food, whatever you what, okay?" My mom said as she walked over to my bed, that now was a comfortable fortress.
"Ugh, okay. But I want pizza and ice cream...maybe a slushy or hushpuppies. I don't knoww, mmph. But can you warm up the car before I have to get In It?" I said as I got a random cold chill again.
"Sure thing, honey. I'm sorry you have to go. But I'm just worried about leaving you. I know you've just been sleeping, but still." My mother said.
"I know, I know. Just relax, will y'a?" I said.
My mother was always worrying about me, It seemed that she found something new to stress about everyday.
I slowly got dressed, putting layer after layer on. Grabbing my hand warmers, scarf, and hat. The cold was one thing but the wind chilled you right to the bone. It was dark and rained every few minutes. Not pretty white snow, just freezing cold rain.
We both quickly ran through the cold, to the car and drove over to the pharmacy, me staying In the back seat laying down. Wrapping up to keep warm while my mother ran Inside.
I was really tired and wanted to fall asleep but was still to cold to sleep In the car right now.
I could hear cars going by on the road, lights flashing as the passed. The rain hitting the windows and the wind howling. I was definitely ready to get a fresh, hot pizza. Then get back to my warm and comfortable bed, so I could sleep for hours.
Suddenly something slammed against the drivers door, then opened, letting the cold air rush In.
What was that!? Mom?
I laid there, still as I could, listening to every sound. The door was quickly shut and someone was sitting In the drivers seat. The car keys where still In the ignition, so I could have the heat on to stay warm. My mother was only supposed to be gone a few minutes. And If she got In the car why wouldn't she say something... Mom? I started to panic, thinking of what was happening right now.
The car quickly moved out of the parking spot and took off. Me being stuck there In the back seat. This couldn't be my mom... Then who was It!? What am I supposed to do!? I was paralyzed with fear, cold chills ran over my body, hairs standing on end, and trying to breath quietly.
The person driving was mumbling something and driving fast, taking turns and weaving through traffic. Where were they going!? They couldn't know I was back here right? Why did they steal the car? Why didn't I lock the doors!?
They slowed down as the road got rougher and the noises of other cars faded away.
"Damn." A deep mumbled voice said. It sounded like a guy and he continued to say a few more things under his breath. Tapping his hands on the steering wheel In frustration. Great, I'm stuck In a car with a psycho... How am I supposed to escape?
"Ahh! What the f- ah, oh no. No, no, no, no..." The guy said and the car swerved some then stopped.
I held my breath...did he see me? What happened?
"What!?...Who are you!?" He said In surprise.
"Who are you!? Have You been here the whole time!?" He shouted.
Yep. He definitely saw me.
"Please don't hurt me." I said quietly.
"Who are you!? Why are you In the car?" He yelled confused and worried.
"You just stole my moms car!" I shouted back.
He paused for a moment then I felt a cold, hard, metal object against my forehead... Was that a gun?... Is he gonna hurt me? No... please.
"I asked who, are you." He said firmly.
"My name Is Sage. Please don't hurt me. Just let me go. I wo-" I said breathing heavily and shaking.
"Shut up!... I can't let you go now... Damn It." He said angrily.
"But I-I'm blind. I don't know who you are or what you look like. I won't do anything, I can't. And I'm sick, please just let me go." I pleaded.
He breathed deeply and tapped his hand against the wheel. "I can't let you go now."
"W-why? Just leave me here. I won't do-" I tried to plead.
"Shut up!... You, just stay down. Don't talk and don't move. Do you understand!?" He yelled.
"Okay, okay." I laid back down on the seat and covered myself with my blanket. The cold was one thing but the fear was worse. I just wanted to hide under my blanket and get out of here.
"Don't try anything. I don't want to hurt you. This wasn't part of the plan." He said then turned back to the wheel to drive off.
I had no clue where we were. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the turns earlier.
Today Is not my day. It's freezing outside, I'm trapped In a car with a crazy guy, who has a gun. He just kidnapped me and won't let me go, even though I'm blind and sick... What Is my life?
He continued to drive down the road, taking me farther and farther from home. Did my mom notice the car was missing by now? Was she looking around for me? Did she call the police already? Why didn't I stay home or bring Stitch with me!?
The car slowly made Its way down a bumpy road then stopped.
"Stay here." The guy said roughly then got out of the car.
I didn't try to move, knowing I couldn't get far. I mean I was blind and sick and It was freezing outside! How could I possibly get away from here. Where even Is here!?
A man yelling interrupted my thoughts.
"Why would you bring her here!? That's so f##king stupid! Do you know what we're gonna have to do now!?" The man shouted.
"I'm sorry! B-but look, she's blind! She can't get away, It will be fine. I'll take care of It. I promise." The guy said.
"Oh, yeah. Like that fixes everything! Ugh. I can't trust you to do anything!" The man shouted.
"I could drive her away from here and she'll never find It! Everything will be okay, no one will know. I can fix It!" He said.
"Look... ugh, I want you to just take her inside and keep her there. Don't let her escape! Then we can figure out what to do." The man said sternly.
"Okay." The guy said then opened up the car door. "Come on." He said as he pulled me out of the car.
The cold air shocked we after being In the warm car.
The guy guided we through a path to the house. I had no idea where I was or how many people were around.
It was pretty quiet, but windy and there were smells of nature and man made materials. But I couldn't figure out what they were. The guy made me take steps up to the door and opened It. The sound was of a cheap kind of door, flimsy but loud when It closed. The room smelled of body odor, smoke and alcohol.
The guy guided me to a room and made me sit down on the floor. He grabbed some sort of rope and tied my hands together.
"Don't try to run. Don't try anything. Do you understand?" He said.
"Yes, I understand." I said trying not to show my fear. My body and mind were so overwhelmed that I couldn't try anything If I wanted to. I sat there and he walked away, closing the door.
Him and the man continued to argue, me hearing every word. The walls had to be really thin and considering that It wasn't very warm In here and the door... Maybe It was a trailer? That might be a clue to where I was, but It didn't help me much right now.
I should have just stayed home. So much for wanting some fast food.
