Sail Into The Black

It's the weekend, which means Live Shows. This time you're not too far away from the arena since the closest gym to it is just a few hundred meters away. Yes, you have to get at least some bits of a workout in before walking out there. So it's no surprise to see you in black shorts, a blue shirt and with your headphones on. You're currently lifting weights while others around you glance over at you, trying to figure out how much you can really lift or at least that's the body builder side. The other side is people admiring you in more ways than one. It's not hard to check that you're a WWE superstar, it's also not hard to realize that your follower count on social media has risen significantly. Did you ever check the gender ratio? No, not even once yet, but judging from most names, it's mostly either other wrestlers from around the world, no matter if male or female, then there are online magazines, podcast personalities or just fans. The fans can get a bit obnoxious sometimes, some even tried to hook up with you, but you politely decline and move on with your day. Zelina has the same problems from time to time and she handles it pretty well. Brienna too, since Andrade was suspended and fined for what he did. It's the right decision in your view, but others think it's a bit much.

Y/N:" As if. He did things nobody should ever do to their co-workers. It's disgusting to see scum like him trying to talk his way out."

Zelina:" I know, honey. Even I never thought he could be such a scumbag."

Y/N:" People these days try to trick you into what they think is right for them. They build a web of lies and wait for their prey...Where's Brienna though?"

Zelina:" Over at the punching bags. Looks like she has a lot of anger to get out."

Y/N:" Trust me. There's a lot more going on inside than we know of. That's why I never interfere with her business or with anyone's to be exact."

Zelina smiles and holds your hand after you sit up. The days Brienna has spent with you two have shown how fragile humans can really be. Everything eats away at us to a certain degree, sometimes faster, sometimes slower. It's taking a lot out of everyone around the world. You lean into Zelina for a moment,  running your hand through her black hair as a sign of appreciation. She has done so many good things ever since you returned to in-ring action. You also think the time to pay her back has come and so you put some ideas into place for tonight after the show.
-----------------------------------------------------

After working out, you three immediatly go to the arena. You already know that Aleister Black is your opponent tonight. He's a fierce striker in the ring, able to hurt anyone with every part of his body and he will use it in any way, shape or form. It's gonna be a tactical, high paced match all the way, so mental and physical preparation is a must. That's the reason you're in an area where nobody will interrupt you, stretching while repeating your personal mantra. If anyone could see you right now, they'd ask you, if you're alright. And you'd shrug it off. Of course you'd be alright, why wouldn't you be? Your job is great, you have awesome friends and a wonderful girlfriend to help and support you. It's only then that you're told you're up next for your match. Nodding you put your stuff away and head to the curtain. Your music hits just a moment later and you walk out,  boos echoing around you, making you laugh. This part of town hasn't gotten the message that you're the good guy. But that's none of your business right now as you ascend the steel steps, looking out into the sea of people. It's a great sight every time, so you do your absolute best to keep all of them entertained. Only when you stand in one of the corners does the light fade as the first distorted note of Aleister's theme song hits. It always gives you chills down your spine, watching him rise while everything else stays dark. He has his eyes fixed on you all the way he walks to the ring before flipping over the rope and sitting down, looking at you. Many people have fallen due to the Dutch Destroyer, but you won't be one of them. At least you hope so. Fighting a seasoned veteran like Aleister is hard enough on its own.

After taking of his jacket and the ring announcer is done with introductions,  you two meet in the middle. You size each other up and down as you go for the lock up. Aleister wants to follow up, but you step aside and kick him in the upper left leg. Waving your index finger, you're saying that it's not going to be that easy, but that is answered by a hard kick to the chest. You expected this and yet, you let it hit you. This is gonna sting over and over the longer the match goes. So when you turn back to him, you're just in time to dodge his knee that was about to hit you in the face. You use your own rebound, coming from the ropes with a headbutt straight to Aleister's forehead. You're gonna turn this match into your favor as good as you can, starting now with a DDT. Despite the match being in it's early state, it's not hanging behind the first three matches of the night. Getting up, you see the heavily tattooed man gritting his teeth, just like you wanted. You lean against the rope and tell him to bring it, making him jump to his feet and charging at you with fists flying, knees pumping and an insatiable lust to destroy you. That is until he takes a step back and sees you laughing.

Y/N:" You didn't think this was hurting me, did you?"

This just sets him off even more, but before he can strike again,  you catch him and drop him on the canvas with a Fallaway Slam. That's not enough, so you pull him back up and ram your elbows right against the side of his head. To hell with fading to black, you're not joining the poor souls who couldn't beat Aleister until now. After the series of heavy blows you let him go and dust off your gloves while the ref makes sure everything is alright.

Y/N:" I can't hear you, Texas! Scream louder!"

And they do, still clearly liking your opponent more, but you don't care much. You pull Aleister into the middle of the ring and then climb up to the middle rope. You breath in and jump, hoping to hit your target, but you fall flat, hitting the matt with full force as Aleister recollects his thoughts. He waits until you get up and charges in, getting you with a Bycicle Knee. This match has turned again and not for your liking. You know this is not even slightly easy, so you do your best and break the count just in time. You two will stop at nothing, so when you're on your knees in front of each other,  fists start flying. Not only does this get the fans up, you also feel some real impact behind most of them. You don't know what the reason for this is, but you're not backing down and answer with your own real shots. You also tackle him down and start to really push the sharp tips of your elbows through his face until the referee has to pull you off. Stepping back, you turn towards the turnbuckle and mutter something into it to get some of the anger out while Aleister checks his surroundings. It's not clear what that moment was about, but there has to be something personal behind it. You bite back what you wanted to say and get closer to him again,  only to feel his sole hit your jaw and BOOM! The lights are out for you as you faintly hear the ref count and soon the bell rings, singaling that the match is over. Aleister looks down on you again before leaving the ring as you roll onto the apron and sit back against the ring post. That's clearly not the Aleister you had in mind, but you know he's gonna get it the next time you two meet in the middle of the ring. Snatching the water bottle out of the doctor's hand, you walk backstage, not happy with what just happened.
--------------------------------------------------

It takes quite some time to calm yourself down, but after the event ends, you're already outside waiting for Zelina and Brienna to take them to your hotel room. Several people have asked you what you did to piss Aleister off, but you haven't figured it out yet. Luckily for you, the two ladies finally arrive and put their bags into the back of your car. They notice the annoyed expression on your face, but wait with asking questions until you leave the parking lot.

Zelina:" What got you bothered tonight, sweetheart?"

Y/N:" In case you two weren't watching the match closely, Aleister put in some real punches, closed fists which is actually not allowed. I don't know what he wanted to prove with that or if he has a problem with me, but I know he's gonna get it, should we ever have a match again."

Brienna:" And that's bad because real punches to the head have a higher risk of injury. I know a few things about that."

Y/N:" Listen, can we just drop it right now? I had this evening layed out differently."

The two nod knowingly as you make your way to the hotel. A good night should do the trick and maybe it turns out better than expected.
