It was indeed chaos later that night just as you had mentioned hours before. They had never seen or been involved with the current state of the world wars and fights, due to their haven being cloaked away and hidden from people.
It never occurred to them how much they had been sheltered from the present problems. Sure they had a few fights here and there but never in this instance.
This was the literal definition of a death match, fighting to live regardless of age. You had to fight to survive and get your hands dirty quite literally. You have to decide to take the opponent's life or let them kill you.
There were an overwhelming amount of zombies that turned and few updated Nomus, unlike the others they had come across years ago. These were faster and more adapted to combat. They were intelligent.
This night was a clear indication, back home. No one would be prepared and ready to protect their home. The training would never prepare them to go up against the people who they are now.
These people could have been civilians back in the old world, but now they are killers with no remorse or empathy for age. Pure malice.
The four of them are still wrapping their heads around based on how many people were after the kids. The only thing they could think of is they are the weakest link and the most vulnerable.
All of them knew if it wasn't for the elders and older kids they wouldn't have come out alive. The older teenagers such as Speedy were covered in the blood of their enemies and shouting out battle cries. They were versus the enormous wave of the undead, among them were real live people killing your people. They were hiding among the masses.
Everyone fought tooth to nail to protect themselves or the people around them. It was also the day they intended or aimed to kill and go against their morals. It was clear if they wanted to survive and protect the children. They had to. No one was coming out unscathed. Everyone who will survive will come out with some kind of injury or wound, its guaranteed.
It was hard to tell who was zombified or human due to them hiding in plain sight. The former building crumbled down to the ground as the battle started. The purpose was to destroy everything inside, no one else could use or find anything valuable.
It was a high tense situation due to the fight happening at nighttime. The ambush was purely intended to catch you and your people off guard, but it didn't go how they imagined it would go. You and most of the people are handling the situation pretty well indicating that they were trained for what-if situations.
They could tell who was on their side or who wasn't. The four of them formerly thought it was just elderly people who couldn't fight but it was former heroes who were in their prime years ago. Those former heroes used every single strength of their being to fight beside them and provide the opening for them to flee. They saw them inject themselves with something that made their quirks increase similar to what Overhaul once dealt with in the black market.
The only way they could describe the sight of the battle was flashes of rainbow colors from different quirk users using their abilities against each other.
Kirishima was fighting beside Bakugou, playing defensive running behind the kids. Shouto was creating numerous icebergs to secure a one-way path with Speedy. Midoriya was on the fly attacking anything that wasn't on Bakugou or Kirishima's path. When he catches something approaching them at full force speed like a bull taking out anything from its pathway. His eyes widen to see the familiar appearance of a Nomu heading towards them. It was heading to Bakugou and Kirishima.
It's been years since he has seen one in person. It was way back before the apocalypse happened.
Bakugou was the one who was carrying the walkie-talkie and could hear you giving orders to everyone else. It was until you shouted his name through the walkie-talkie. "Bakugou! RUN!"
The sound of you showing genuine concern caught him off guard. He glanced over to the side when something caught his eye. to see what you were talking about. It was a Nomu, however, what made him insanely concerned was when it bounced down to the ground digging into the ground.
It was Nomu, but it was also grounder. The undead variety Grounders are those attacked from underneath the ground and catch their prey off guard unknowing where it will attack. It was like a mutation with the disease to the host.
"Deku! Lift them!" Bakugou yells out to Midoirya who was flying towards them but nods when he acts like a bike rack whip wrapping them around the kids and anyone who was with them. Kirishima sees the same thing which brought him memories of the first day of the apocalypse. He deactivated his quirk and gets on Bakugou's back, before Bakugou activates his quirk, blasting them upwards. It became muscle memory when they did training back to the base.
The ground trembled where his feet were once resting as a dark blue creature jumped upwards into the air from the ground with its jaw open to take a bite from Bakugou's legs. There was a [favorite color] particular in the air near his feet before you teleported, spooking Kirishima who screamed at Nomu, and the sudden appearance of yourself.
You looked like you had come from a horror movie, wrenched in blood and black slime. Kirishima watched you become smaller and smaller but saw what you were doing. You had reached on the belts that were strapped against your body with explosives. You became ghost-like when you shoved your arm down Nomu's throat, placing an explosive there, before teleporting away. You disappeared from their sights once more. There was a massive explosion, something unexpected.
The Nomu was nonexistent, it was clear for them to be back on their feet and continue running.
Once Speedy confirms to you that they have made it to the vehicles and you order everyone to evaluate to disengage. What did they expect at all, they were people who decided to stay and help to make sure no one followed them. They were loyal to you and believed in you. They stayed out of their own free, no order. They are purposely willing to go against your orders.
The events that occurred the night before show that you weren't selfish and only cared about yourself, but showed compassion towards your people. You cared about these people. They weren't pawns to be played with. You were willing to sacrifice yourself to ensure all of them escaped.
A true leader.
You had pleaded to them at the very least to protect the children because they are our only hope for the future and never clarified why. They protect the vehicles that contain soon-to-be mothers and children along with the elderly. The other vehicles were protected by your soldiers.
They come to find out that the potential cure was running through those children's veins. They are hosting the cure that could potentially prevent turning. There was a replica of the latest one in the journal that you have given them willingly. It was another reason why there is a bounty on your head because you are so close to finding a cure which you disclose to them through the last entry.
There were a few adults from your base appearing over a few days from the ambush, clearly injured but arrived at the base. The weird thing along with the fellow survivors who stayed behind the claim that you went the opposite direction along with two others who are considered their strongest quirks.
The former students from Class A of U.A were against providing refuge for those survivors but the leaders of the base overruled and let them stay at the base. Most of the concerns were it could be a trap to take over the camp that has been safe from harm's way in the last few years.
The concern mainly came from you were their leader, a classmate who brutally murdered their friends in front the years prior. The majority were there and the rest were found by them retelling the horror tale. You were once considered to be trustworthy but after that. The trust was broken from that event rightfully so, from their point of view.
There was only a small number who knew the truth from that night. It was the former teachers including Eraserhead and All Might. The former students were Hitoshi, Mirio, Nejire, and Tamaki.
You became the worst version of yourself, in the name of protecting them. Most of everything saves the little girl's life, Eri from the horrible life that could have been her life if it wasn't for you stepping in.
When your former teachers thought of you as if you were still alive, seeing no sign of life when you usually leave notes in the designated area on the borderline of their base safety system. You kept in contact with them even after the event.
Their worst fear came true, once someone managed to break through the shields of the U.A and make everyone jump into action.
A breach.
Aizawa's eyes widen seeing at the sight that triggers their alarm of a breach.
A criminal, a former yakuza boss, someone that heroes put behind prison walls is coming back to take his revenge. He may have one goal which involves Eri.
Overhaul aka Chisaki Kai.
