chapter nineteen.

~•~

With all of the drama between Taehyung's past owner, Jungkook and Taehyung found themselves completely at peace. Taehyung had finally been accepted into a family that would love and cherish him until time's end. Taehyung knew that Jungkooo cared for him, and he knew that they would continue to make memories together for as long as they loved each other. (Which hopefully was forever)

They had many coupley moments, and one day- Jungkook could not handle it. He watched as Taehyung and Hoseok played Mario Kart, Hoseok was sprawled across the couch, his leg carelessly dangling over the wooden floor. Taehyung was in a more proper position, his legs folded neatly, his feet covered with pretty pale pink socks. Jungkook guessed he had stolen those from Myung's drawer.

He knew he had to plan something extravagant and cute all for the hybrid. He first started by consulting Myung. Myung was at work- so Jungkook dialed her up and walked into the kitchen so Taehyung would be out of ear shot.

"What is it darling? Is everything alright?" Myung asked, Jungkook could hear the barking and the meowing in the background. He guessed she was stood near the adoption center.

"I want to do something nice for Taehyung. I want it to be special, because I'm asking him to be my boyfriend. Do you know of any flowers he likes?" Jungkook whisper-yelled down the phone, hearing Myung give out a girlish giggle on the other side.

"I can't wait to plan your wedding!" She laughed on the other side, making Jungkook grow flustered. Why was she thinking this far ahead? "I know he likes flowers, any color or kind should make him happy. Preferably something purple."

"Thanks Myung! Love you!" He heard some muffled noise, sounding close to something of "i love you more" before he ended the call. Jungkook then headed out into the big bright world, walking to a near store to pick up some flowers. He thought Hoseok could care for Taehyung while he was out.

---------

Taehyung noticed right away that Jungkook was gone. He could sense it. He threw his controller on the couch, hearing a muffled "ouch!" from Hoseok. The controller had hit his leg, but the concerned look in Taehyung's eyes caught his interest. Taehyung headed straight for the door, what he usually does whenever either Myung or Jungkook leaves the house.

"Where did Jungkookie go?" Taehyung asked, wiping away some of the condensation on the glass, enabling him to see clearer. He felt Hoseok come and hover behind him, curiously staring through the window too. They watched as a man walked his dog by. Taehyung let out a small woof! Trying to gain the attention of the dog.

Of course, the dog didn't hear him. Hoseok let out a strained laugh at his attempt. He dragged Taehyung back to the living room so they could play again. Taehyung was actually starting to get a hang of Mario Kart.

It was not the same. Taehyung kept getting sidetracked and falling off the edge of the track. He kept staring at the door, barking whenever a simple sound was made. Hoseok decided to quit playing, since his component was hardly a challenge anymore.

"What if he never comes back? It's been so long already." Taehyung pouted. Hoseok could not make fun of him, his old owner used to leave for ages, so it must have always been a fear of his, being left alone. Although Jungkook had only been gone for about forty-five minutes.

"He will come back."

The flowers for sale did not have too much variety, but Jungkook managed to dwindle the choices down to a bundle of daisies, or a bundle of white roses. Jungkook ended up picking the daisies. The white flowers reminded Jungkook of Taehyung's fur color.

He held them to his side as he paid and walked out. He thought it was a nice day for a stroll, and he had only been gone for about an hour and a half. He hoped Taehyung was not worrying too badly. He remembered one time he was late coming home from school once and he came home to see Taehyung waiting at the door. He was close to crying, that was obvious. His eyes were red and puffy, and he made Jungkook hug him until he felt better.

Jungkook had a feeling he should have brought his bike, because it started to rain on the way back. It was a light rain, and Jungkook tried his best to keep the flowers from getting completely ruined. He took off his jacket and kept the flowers underneath the jacket, which worsened his condition. His hair got all messy and flat and soaked, but as long as Taehyung's flowers remained intact, so would he.

----------

"It's been days, Hoseok!" Hoseok thought that the internet was lying when it said dogs have no concept of time, but when Taehyung had his face pressed to the glass, ears perked and tail waiting to fly off at the sight of Jungkook, he knew it was true.

"It hasn't even been two hours yet, Taehyungie. He will come back I'm sure." That's when it started to rain- causing Taehyung to open the front door curiously. Hoseok tried to hold him back, but Taehyung went out into the rain.

"It's raining Hoseok! He is going to get lost!" He wept, his hands flying to his face to cry into his palms. "He didn't even ta-take his bike." He lazily pointed to the bike leaning against the side of the house. Hoseok watched as Taehyung's hair got wet, his clothes sticking to his body uncomfortably.

That's when it all changed, because Jungkook came walking down the sidewalk, and Taehyung sprinted- zoomed across the front yard. "It was all a blur," as Hoseok had recalled. Taehyung's tail was moving left and right, wanting to detach and lay where it flung. Taehyung almost screamed, leaping onto Jungkook like he was seeing someone he had not seen in years. Jungkook immediately held up his hands, stopping Taehyung from crushing the flowers.

He slowly pulled the daisy bouquet from underneath his jacket, seeing Taehyung comprehend the thoughtful item. He took them and held them against his chest, now jumping onto Jungkook. Jungkook wrapped his arms around Taehyung, catching him at the bottom of his thighs.

"Hey, Taehyungie." He smiled widely, leaning in for a sweet kiss. Taehyung instantly replied, his heart swelling within the containments of his chest. "I wish that it was a sunnier day, so it could replicate my happiness, but this day will have to do."

"What are you saying, master?" Taehyung snickered, thinking Jungkook was just speaking nonsense. He wanted to go inside, but Jungkook was adamant on staying outside for this moment.

"I want you to call me Jungkook. There's no role difference between us, baby." Jungkook said, watching as Taehyung's wet skin turned a bright red. He was so easily flustered.

"But I have to ask you something. Something very special." He watched as Taehyung nodded. His grip on Jungkook tightened. "Will you, Kim Taehyung, be my boyfriend?"

"Yes!" Taehyung laughed, feeling giddy as Jungkook carried him in through the rain- only pausing to connect their lips together once in a while. They smiled as Hoseok led them back into the house to play Mario Kart again. This time, Taehyung sat against Jungkook, the two cuddling while playing. Their new title meaning almost everything.

A couple, they were an actual couple.

The end.

A/n: i know, it's abrupt, it's trashy. i wish i could come up with better ideas for this story, but i literally don't know. i can't create any new exciting things for this story. my writing style has changed drastically since the creation of this book, and it was very hard to try and match the previous chapter's style so it didn't seem too different!

i hope it was satisfying, i hope that you aren't upset that it is over. i hope you enjoyed it overall! and i hope you look forward to other things i post in the future.

love, sam :)
