Chapter 17: Fan Made Paradise

After the appointment, Carrie comes back to the water tower to see a giant box that was in the middle of the tower. "What's this giant box doing here?" She asked and looked up and down at it. "This came in today. A lot of old and new fan stuff that the fans sent in over the years." Wakko told her then climbed up on top to open it. He opens up the flaps and looks inside. "This is incredible!" Cassidy sat on the ground and chewed on a plastic ring. Lauren began to shift through some of the fan mail and takes some art out. "Man, a lot of these are really talented."

Carrie takes a look at one of the arts and gave a small smile at it's aesthetically pleasing look. "I love how this gives a cute black and white look. It's so pretty to see my human form again." She sat down in the chair and continued to look at it. Yakko nodded in agreement, having some hearts in his eyes. "Helllooooooo Carrie from the past. Both of you are still pretty no matter what." Dot fishes through the box and pulled out a modded version of one of their old games that added Carrie into it. "Aw, The Great Edgar Hunt. It was supposed to bring back Carrie, but since you and Lauren were off the grid, they discarded the idea when the models and animation were done." Carrie then pauses the scene and spoke out "None of that happened in real life, this is a book!" And then she unpauses the scene.

Carrie puts it in and she lets the game load up. She then gets to work on playing the game. Lauren looked pretty impressed with her moms skills at playing games. "Wow. I never knew you could play like this mom. Impressive." "Yeah, I grew up on a lot of classic stuff and the arcades, so yeah." She continued to play with the game, until she finally beats the last level. Cassidy was a bit confused at the dialogue Carrie spoke through the game until she turned to Dot. "According to the modders, they got a girl who did a very good impression of you to finish the missing dialogue." Dot spoke while reading the letter. "Well that's so sweet of them." Carrie stood up and puts the modded game back into it's casing.

Yakko decides to take something out of the box and he pulled out a favorite fan letter still in it's envelope. "This one is addressed to you Lauren." Lauren takes the envelope and opened it to read the note from a girl who was 12 at the time of writing.

"Dear Lauren,

I know you're a baby and can't write yet, but you and your family make me laugh everyday on TV. You have shown me how to be a confident kid from your sassy repertoire. Say hi to your mother for me! :)

From,

Susie."

Lauren closes the letter. "Well, Susie from back then said hi to you mom." Carrie continued to look through the box until she reached the bottom and pulled out a comic book someone made for her and she goes to read it. "Well, it looks like somebody is 'drawn' to you Carrie." Yakko made a pun, looking over at the comic. Dot pulled out the pun gun and glared at him. Yakko gulped and began to run. "Worth it!" He yelped as Dot chased him and shocked him.
