Macy Newman

How does one always end up in a place or situation that was uncomfortable? A place they didn't want to be in after a horrible tragedy accrued. A story always has a different million outcomes and the turning point beings the bad and the good. It makes people wonder what would've happened if they did something different?

Macy sat nervously in the car with her sister. They were both on their way to the hospital to vist their parents, who were still in a coma. Macy could handle phone calls to the hospital but vists to the said place were difficult for the brunette. She made a mistake on her freshman year that caused a horrible accident. A mistake that no one knew about except herself, and her parents.

Her freshman year she found out about a little affair, to keep quiet about the secret. She was bought to keep the secret with books, films, cash, etc. Macy willingly accepted them, but the thought and dreams of her parents getting a divorce haunted her. It tore the girl apart that her life would change if her parents didn't talk about it. Through her freshman year, everyone noticed her change of behavior. During her late freshman year she broke down in the girls bathroom, and made a call home exposing the affair while her parents were on their way to pick up some food. Which landed them in the hospital.

"Hello mummy, daddy." Macy and Bailey told their parents who layed side by side on a hospital bed. They stared at the pale bodies, the ones that looked asleep.

"We wish you were here with us." the youngest daughter told her parents.

"I'm sure Alfie would want the same thing. Especially since he is visting next week." Macy weakly smiled at the mentioned of her older brother. The one who abandoned Macy and Bailey days after the accident. He transferred to a university in the United States to escape the depressing mood. Alfie would rarely vist, the longest the siblings spend time was for three weeks. The reason was because they were invited to Alfie's wedding. Maybe that was a major reason why Macy didn't talk about her brother.

"Mummy, daddy, please wake up." Macy told her parents. "We want you home. We want to be a whole family again without the secrets."

The last part was said quietly.

Macy tapped her pencil against the note pad while she sat in the back corner of Starbucks. She was finishing her history paper for her class. Her dream of being a Historian was important to her since history was her strong subject. Lately she has been lacking, with her parents still in coma, Luke, Jasper and bills it had been stressful for the young adult.

"Is this seat taken?" a voice asked. Macy looked up too see Luke Robert Hemmings.

"Go ahead." Macy motioned. Her foot tapped against the floor at a hastily speed. Her mind still thinking on how to word the Civil War between the states. If it was about Captain America Civil War, Macy would've been able to write more than ten pages.

"What are you doing?" the blond boy asked the girl he once loved.

"History. Except I can't word Stonewall Jackson's death right. I know he was killed during battle by one of his soldiers but do I do in deep explanation or not." Macy rumbled off. A habit that she was best known for when she had alot on her mind.

"Go for the explanation. Don't professors dig that shit?" Luke asked.

"Language! And I guess they do." Macy immediately started to write down her knowledge before she made it to the final major battle. She looked back up to see that Luke was still there. "How can I help you?"

"I just saw you and wanted to catch up and get your number again."

"Don't you have a fiance?" Macy questioned.

"As friends!" Luke quickly added in. His cheeks were burning red, causing Macy to snort.

"Why not." Macy quickly scribbled her number and purposely made a number look like two numbers.

Luke was proud too being able to get Macy's number again. He looked down at the piece of paper with a smile, adding it into his phone before he noticed the last digit. He wasn't sure if it was a one or a seven. It was too late to turn around and ask Macy since she left saying that she had a date with Jasper. That they were going to rewatch a Avengers movie that recently came out in dvd.

Luke didn't know what to do but to punch in the number seven. He trusted his gut that told him that Macy would pick the second number. Luke saved the number under the name Mitchell since Vicki goes through his phone.
