Chapter 16: Accidental Market Meeting
After having finished cleaning up her older brother's kitchen and any other part of the house that seemed to have a layer of dust on it. Turns out that 'any other part' meant almost every nock and cranny of the damn house! Seriously when was the last time her brother cleaned this place?!
Tyler coughed inhaled some of the lingering dust and put the clean supplies she found back in the closet before shutting the door. Tyler went into the nearest bathroom and turned on the sink splashing the cold water on her face before starting to wash her hands. Once she was done, Tyler grabbed a towel from the nearby rack and dried off her hands and face. Tyler just tossed the towel into a nearby trashcan since her brother seemed to have so many he wouldn't miss one.
She exited the bathroom and walked towards the front of the large house grabbing her bag and walking towards the door. She paused for a moment her hand just barely touching the elegant door knob. Should she really leave Maxwell, of all people, alone in the condition he's in? I mean the guy can barely move but that also means he can't cause any trouble, right?
Tyler shook her head, black hair swaying with her and she grasped the knob opening the door. Tyler stepped out of the mansion like house and walked towards her car that was parked by some fountain like structure. She was probably just over thinking things and it's not like her brother's plotting a murder, right?
------------
"I'm going to kill him."
Maxwell stared at the large flat screen TV with seething anger and hatred for he was watching one of the cameras that he had hidden in the United Nations building. On the screen was his beloved Alfred looking as beautiful as ever and he was talking to some albino, red eyed guy that had approached the American.
From the way Alfred talked to him Maxwell guess the white haired man was a nation or rather an ex-nation. Maxwell had heard rumors about a nation who didn't fade when his country was dissolved.
This man must be the 'Awesome Prussia' then.
Maxwell growled at the screen and gripped the remote tightly as he looked at the two conversing nations with what could only be described as complete and utter rage. That fool was clearly eyeing his love in a very indecent way, a way only Maxwell got to look at Alfred. Not America, Alfred. His one true love.
That's right folks! Despite getting beat up by an angry Canadian and being told by Alfred himself that they can't be friends anymore, Maxwell won't give up on his love for the American. Maxwell's rage had built up to the point where he threw the remote at the Tv effectively shattering the device. Blackened glass flew to the plush carpet and the remote imbedded itself into the television.
Though his thoughts were absolutely grim at the moment, one thing was clear.
PRUSSIA.MUST.DIE.
-------------
Tyler hummed a song she had been listening to recently and grabbed a packet of pasta from the shelf in front of her and put it in her basket. She swore that she could hear a faint cheering of "Pasta~!" in what sounded like an Italian accent. Tyler jut shrugged her shoulders and continued down the isle.
Tyler realized she needed something from a different section and was about to turn around when she knocked into someone. "Oh crap! Sorry!" Tyler scrambled to pickup the items that had fallen from her basket but the stranger had bent down to help her pickup her stuff. "Tyler? Is that you dudette?" A familiar voice asked causing the American girl to look up and smile as she saw the face that went along with the voice.
"Alfred!"
Sure enough the all American boy was standing before her in all his jacket wearing, burger munching glory with a cart full of multiple ingredients for various foods. "It's nice to see you Ty. Why you in D.C? Wait oh crap I ran into you!" As if just realizing this America stood up from the floor and offered Tyler a hand which she took and stood up with her groceries back in her cart.
"Nah it's okay, Al. If anything I ran into you so don't apologize and I'm in D.C taking care my older brother for awhile." Tyler said smiling and she watched the tension leave the young American's shoulders. "Brother? I didn't know you had family in town. And what happened to him if you don't mind me asking?" America said as he turned his cart so that he and Tyler could walk side by side.
"Yeah he's like four years older than me and he got his ass in a scuffle with some guy. It left him badly injured and unable to take care of himself. So naturally being the amazing sister I am, I decided to fly out here and take care of him until he heals properly." Tyler explained to her friend who listened to the short story surprisingly quiet. "That's super nice of you Ty! Tell ya what, how 'bout we go out for coffee to celebrate your amazingness?" America asked stopping to look at the smaller human.
"Ah I don't see why not? Let's do it! But I think we should pay for our groceries first. Don't want another Vermont incident, am I right?" Tyler smirked as America mirrored her with his own. "No we don't! At least not here anyway." Alfred and Tyler both simultaneously bursted into fits of laughter attracting attention to from the other people in the isle. "Right! Let's go pay and get that coffee. You're paying right?" Poor Alfred didn't even have the chance to object as he was pulled towards the cash register.
