Your Dramatic Entrance

The Dramatic Entrance is a phenom used by play writers, poets, novel writers, and other creatives. This is where a character (real or fictional) immediately draws all attention to them when they enter a room or situation. Some dramatic entrances can include an action, a speech, a song, and more. Sometimes a character will orate a speech about themselves in a poetic format

Your fun activity for this month is to write a poem about yourself to accompany Your Dramatic Entrance into this section of Take a Chill Pill, Pal.

You can publish your poem in an already existing collection or you can post it in the comments of this chapter. Just be sure to share your poem! We'd love to see them and learn more about you!

A little confused about what this can include? No problem! Our Fun Book Helpers have each written their own unique Dramatic Entrances!

I used to shine like how the rose petals did on a winter morning.
My name seemed to reflect on foggy air as 'Shehnaz'.
It held such a strange demeanor
that i myself forgot how strong i used to be.

Even after at 15 , my maturity has reached its peak,
could say the people around me made me feel.
They made me feel low for the thorns on me
but never appreciated for my looks.

My petals are a sign of romance
but my thorns are a sign of cruelty and disloyalty.
They say i hurt them like my thorns do
but they never say i make them cheery with my rosy petals...

shratik_love (Priyanshi's)

Whispers of a Quiet Heart
In the hush of twilight's embrace,
I find solace, a gentle space,
Soft-spoken, my words tiptoe,
Like dew-kissed petals in morning's glow.

Kindness blooms within my chest,
A fragrant garden where compassion rests,
Humble, I tread upon life's stage,
Seeking grace in each passing page.

My insecurities play a delicate dance,
 Like shadows at bay,
Yet music weaves its healing thread,
Notes that mend what silence left unsaid.

Dancing, I sway to rhythms unseen,
Lost in melodies, a world in between,
Books cradle my soul, their stories unfold,
Whispering secrets, both new and old.

And when the sun sets, the stadium roars,
Cricket's symphony, a passion that soars,
I am woven into this tapestry of life,
A soft-spoken soul, finding joy in strife.

:

Pearl, Rose, the Orange
Name like Pearl and Rose,
Pride in Orange and nine,
Lives through highs and lows
Near the heart of mine.

Pearl sees twelve of Orange,
Fun strange and clever,
Higher than Blorenge,
And smiles forever.

Pearl beholds a Rose,
Shining red and blessed,
Chanting prayers to
He who will listen.

Pearl tells a tall tale,
One of adventure,
One of someone frail
Who grows in venture.

Pearl tells a true tale,
One of nothing good,
One of evil quail,
One Pearl has withstood.

So Pearl is content,
Though empty of
Any power lent,
But full of all love.
