3RD PERSONS PERSPECTIVE

"W-w-what...t-the spell it was...c-countered." Lucy fell to the ground after being beaten by Flare. "Haha, What did I say blondie I told you, you couldn't beat me!" The people in the stands watching were booming with laughter.

Flare looked up at the Rave Tail stands. "Arigatou you saved me." she walked off the arena and to her guildmates.

Sting was furious he knew that Lucy's spell was wiped out by Raven Tail, he knew that win belonged to Lucy fair and square.

Natsu got out of the Fairy Tail stands in a rush and ran over to Lucy, her breathing was shallow and she fell unconscious. Reluctantly he picked her up and carried her to the infirmary. With a sadden and anger filled glint in his eyes.

THREE HOURS LATER

"Ugh, my body's on fire where am I?" Lucy woke up in the infirmary she waited till her vision wasn't fogged with sleep to ask more questions. When her vision became clear once again she saw that Natsu and Happy were in there with her.

"Um, Natsu what are you doing here." Natsu was sleeping at the foot-end of her bed, while Happy was in her lap.

Natsu felt movement underneath him and woke up with a start. "Gah!" It took him a minute to realize where he was and turned towards Lucy.

When he saw that she was no longer asleep his face brightened up with a big smile. "Luce you're awake!"  He jumped up from his spot on the floor and crushed poor Lucy in a hug, also forgetting that Happy happened to be still asleep on Lucy's lap, crushing him also.

"Ahh, Natsu! You're c-c-crushing mmmmeeee..." Happy went limp in Lucy's lap playing dead with his hand on his head dramatically saying. "Oh goodbye..cruel worrlld..." he closed his eyes and "well died."

Natsu got off Lucy and looked at his best friend with an annoyed expression. "Haha ha, Happy!" Lucy picked him up and hugged him close to her chest still laughing.

Natsu was sitting there watching with a pleasant smile on his face. Lucy finally put him down and looked up to Natsu who was still staring.

"So Natsu, Happy why are you two here don't you want to watch the games?" Natsu was still staring at Lucy not even realizing that she was trying to get his
attention. "Nee, Natsu!" She got up and crawled over to his spot on the bed, shaking her hand in his face.

"Hey! Natsu are you ok?" Natsu finally snapped out of it and was startled to see that Lucy was in his personal space. He jumped back and landed on the floor with a loud thud.

"Oh, Natsu are you ok I'm sorry!" Lucy peered over the bed-end and looked down at the dazed Dragon Slayer. "Ow, yeah I'm fine Luce."

He scrambled off the ground. He had a embarrassed blush that spotted his cheeks, Lucy was trying to hold in her laughter but admittedly was failing.

"ppffh...haha!" Natsu's blush only darken. "Oi, what's so funny!" Happy joined in too, laughing at Natsu. "He likkees heerr..." Lucy stopped laughing at the poor oblivious Dragon Slayer and swiftly turned around to hit the Exceed, but she was too slow Happy was already out the door.

"Stupid cat." Lucy mumbled under her breath she then remembered why she was in the infirmary and started to tear up. "I blew it didn't I?" Natsu didn't know what she meant by that at first but then he remembered what she was talking about.

"No Luce, that wasn't your fault me and you both know that, heck the whole guild knows it!" he was trying to cheer her up but to his avail, it wasn't working.

"Still I can't believe I let her discard me like that, I can't believe I let her prove everyone right!" She pulled her knees up to her chest and put her face in them crying her eyes out.

Natsu hated the sight in front of him he hated when Lucy cried. He walked over to her, sitting down he pulled her into his lap and hugged her. "Lucy I'm sorry this happened to you I hate it when you cry but.." she lifted her head up and looked up to him.

"It wasn't your fault I know we have zero points but that could be our chance to make a big comeback, so let's show them that Fairy Tail is the number one Guild and that, that 7-year gap had and has nothing on us." He started to wipe the tears streaming down her face with his thumbs gently.

"Arigatou Natsu." she shoved her head in his chest in a hug. He was happy that he stopped her tears but he made a promise that he was going to make raven tail pay for making lucy cry.

FOUR HOURS LATER

Hours later Lucy wakes up in the familiar arms of Natsu. She looks over at the clock on the wall seeing that it's 12:23 AM.

He needs to get back to his hotel room, she try's shaking him awake. "Natsu...come you have to go." He responds sooner or later waking up drowsy.

"But Luce I wanna stay here with youuu." He said like a whiny child. Sighing to herself she pushes him off the bed and on the floor.

And that wakes him up real quick.

"OI! WHAT THE HELL—"

Lucy puts her had over his mouth, cutting him off stopping his loud outburst. "Nee, Natsu you need to get back to the hotel room!" He holds his head down in embarrassment, knowing what lucy was saying was true.

"Ok fine," he sighed a sad smile on his face. "Will you be ok? By yourself?" She smile bright, "yeah of course I will be! you worry too much."

"Now go."

Natsu did as told and got up from the bed and walked to the door, looking back at lucy he rushes back up to her and kisses her lightly on her forehead.

"Oyasuminasai, Luce."

She nods her head in response, blushing a light red. When Natsu left she throws herself back in the bed and lets put a loud huff.

Closing her eyes she try's to go back to sleep. Minutes later she hears a knock on the door, sighing thinking it's Natsu she gets up and opens it ready to yell at him.

"Natsu! I told you to go home...sting?" He smiles nervously, "can I come in?" She looks questioned in thought but let's him in.

"Why are you here, Sting?" He sighs loudly, " I wanted to check on you make sure you're ok..." He sits down on one the chairs near the bed.

"Make sure I'm ok? Sting we don't even know each other we're in two different guilds!" She exclaimed. "I know it sounds weird but I had to know if you're ok."

"It just feels like I've know you my whole life, like we've met before, y'know?" He looked up to her waiting for her response.

"Y-yeah I get it I mean I guess I could say I feel that way too..." she blush and pushes her bangs behind her ear.

"Lucy, can I try something?"

She doesn't know why she agreed or why she felt the need to trust him but she did and that would be one of the biggest or best mistakes she's ever made.

"Uh, sure..?"
