3 | Party

"Congrats, [Last Name]-san," Kuroko told you as soon as you open the door.

You gave him a smile. "Thanks, Kuroko-kun! Oh, and thank you for coming."

He nodded, and stepped in, Kagami following. "Congratulations," he said.

As you looked around your apartment, you saw that everyone you invited was here. You didn't invite a lot of people as your apartment was small, but you still invited a good handful of people. The Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami, [Best Friend's Name], and, of course, Takao.

"Thank you for coming, everyone!" Takao announced with a drink in his hand, "Even Shin-chan came!" Midorima's face immediately brightened, making you giggle. "This is only a small party to celebrate our engagement, but we're happy to say that the wedding will be in five months."

"I can finally start planning!" [Best Friend's Name] squealed, doing a victory dance.

After everyone has eaten and settled in, you decided to clear your throat. "So one of the games I made up is called 'How'd You Meet The Couple?' It's pretty explanatory, really."

"I'm first!" [Best Friend's Name] chirped, hopping of her chair, and coming to the front near yourself. "Okay! I met [First Name]-chan in elementary school. We sat next to each other. And our teacher kinda forced us to talk to each other, but soon we became friends!"

Akashi raised an eyebrow. "You became friends because your teacher forced you to?"

She sighed dramatically. "No. We were only forced to talk to one another during classwork. We decided to hang out with each other during recess and quickly became friends." [Best Friend's Name] turned to Takao. "Now... I met him when [First Name]-chan first started crushing on him."

Takao smirked with curiosity in his eyes while you groaned.

"All she ever did was talk about this 'really cute and funny guy' who was in her class, so I had to see him for myself. So I dragged [First Name]-chan with me to the gym during basketball practice, and so I introduced myself to him."

Takao wiggled his eyebrows at you. "You talked about me all the time, huh?"

"Shut up," you mumbled, growing red from embarrassment.

He chuckled, then turned to Midorima. "Your turn, Shin-chan!" He pushed Midorima to the front, with loud protests coming from the latter.

"I met this idiot through basketball, obviously," Midorima said sourly, pushing up his glasses. "I met [Last Name]-san the same day Takao met her."

"You did?" Takao questioned, giving you a look.

You shrugged. "Hey, Midori-chan was easier to talk to than you were."

Midorima twitched at the nickname you gave him back in high school.

"Thought you guys met during that group project, though,*" Takao said, furrowing his eyebrows.

"You thought wrong," Midorima deadpanned.

Once everyone told their tales on how they met you and Takao, you brought out a [Favorite Flavor] cake.

"Cake? Really?" Aomine questioned incredously, as Murasakibara eyed it.

"What's a party without cake?" Kise asked rhetorically with a grin.

You cut the cake, giving a piece to everyone.

"But [Shortened Last Name]-chin," Murasakibara whined, "I was two pieces."

"Wait until everyone else gets a piece, and then you can have another one," you said.

"Okay~"

You took a bite of the cake, falling in love with the flavors.

Takao came up to you. "Ne, [Nickname]-chan..."

"What?" you said with a mouth full of cake.

"This!" He pushed his plate of cake onto your face. Luckily the plates were paper so it didn't hurt.

"Kazu-kun...." Without warning, you did the same. Or at least tried to, because he quickly dodged, making your cake land on Midorima.

"Oops," you both said in unison.

"TAKAO! [LAST NAME]-SAN!!!!!"

I'm back from my unofficially vacation that really wasn't a vacation but might as well be a vacation because I haven't updated in forever. Oops. //slapped

Yeah, so, I don't really have a reason why I haven't updated in forever. All I can give you is that it's my last year in high school and taking 3 college courses.
