2 | A Day With You

"Let's go on a date tomorrow, [Nickname]-chan," Takao suggested on the phone with you yesterday, "A full day one. It'll begin in the morning and end at night."

It was random, but expected from your boyfriend. Maybe he was trying to cheer you up after the nightmare incident when you slept over at his apartment the other night. A day-long date, though? You figured you and/or him would get bored, and go home after a few things.

You woke up at seven. Takao would be at your house at eight. You got into the shower, then put your hair in a ponytail, [Hair Color] strands tickling the back of your neck. You put on a light [Color] dress, and grabbed your purse. You decided to skip makeup for the day, although you knew Takao wouldn't mind.

8:00 AM

You opened your front door when you heard a knock. Takao stood there in a blue shirt and jeans, wearing a big grin.

"Good morning, [Nickname]-chan! Ready for an exciting day?"

His enthusiasm made you giggle as you took a step outside. You turned to shut and lock the door.

"What's the plan for today?" you asked him after giving him a kiss.

"Secret," he replied, grabbing your hand and intertwining your fingers with his.

He guided you along the sidewalk, stopping when he reached a small coffee shop.

"Breakfast?"

You nodded, and walked inside. Instantly you smelled the scent of coffee beans. The shop held small round tables with wooden chairs accompanying them. The menu was a big chalkboard on the wall behind the counter.

The cashier was a blond girl who was near their age. She gave you and Takao a bright smile.

"What can I get for you guys today? The morning special is a small iced coffee with a croissant."

"Two of the morning specials, please," Takao said handing the girl money.

"Coming right up!"

8:15 AM

With a full stomach, you followed Takao. You didn't know where your destination was, and it looked as if Takao wouldn't be telling you.

"Kazu-kun, are we almost there?" you whined, "I have to pee."

He laughed. "You shouldn't have downed your coffee."

You pouted, but said nothing in protest.

What seems like forever, Takao finally stopped. You were in front of the movie theaters.

You glanced at Takao with a hopeful look in your eyes.

He grinned and took out two tickets. "I got two tickets to see [New Movie] yesterday. It was the one you wanted to see, right?"

"Uh-huh!" you exclaimed, practically dragging him into the theaters.

"There's no hurry, [Nickname]-chan. The movie doesn't start until eight-thirty."

But you still had to pee.

10:45 AM

"That movie was amazing!" you said.

Takao nodded in agreement. "Now to our next stop."

"Which is...?"

"Secret," he said again with a grin.

You pouted, mumbling about how you hate surprises.

You looked at Takao, whose grin was still plastered on his face. You remembered when you first met this dork.

"Okay, class," your teacher announced, "we're doing a group assignment... And I picked the groups."

The whole class groaned, including you. Your best friend gave you a hopeful look.

You space out as your teacher calls out groups, until you hear your name.

"[Last and First Name], Midorima Shintaro, and Takao Kazunari."

Midorima, who sat next to you, turned to you. "I expect you to do your assigned part of the project. I will not tolerate any slacking from you or Takao."

You gave him a small nod.

"Don't worry about him, [Last Name]-chan," Takao suddenly appeared at the front of your desk, "Shin-chan is a tsundere."

You giggled when the green haired male's face went red, either from embarrassment or anger. Or both.

"Takao!"

"Tada!"

Takao's sudden shout took you out of memory lane. You didn't think a project back in high school would lead you to fall in love with this man.

11:00 AM

It was a park. Kids ran around the huge playground excitedly, some laughing as they were being pushed on the swing, and others on the seesaw.

"I want to do that!" you exclaimed, referring to the seesaw.

"A child at heart, I see," Takao commented.

"Kazu-kun! You're the one who brought us here," you pointed out with a smug grin.

He laughed. "Touché."

You ran over to the seesaw with glee. You waited for the kids already on it. Finally, they got off.

"We better hurry before the other kids find out it's open," Takao said, helping you get on the side that was to the ground.

You laughed as you watched Takao try to get on the other side. He fell multiple times, making onlookers, aka the kids, laugh.

You stood up and helped Takao up. "Sit," you ordered dragging him to the side you were on.

You got up on the other side with ease. You shot your boyfriend a triumphant smile. "Ha."

He rolled his eyes playfully, before pushing his legs up.

After the seesaw, you both got onto the playground. Sure, parents thought the two of you were crazy, but it was worth it. You went down the slides, played tag, and went on the monkey bars (although you were too tall).

"Kazu-kun, a swing is open!"

You ran to the open swing and sat down, Takao following. He began to push you.

"Ready for lunch? It's almost one."

You nodded, but you were having so much fun, you had forgotten that you were growing hungry.

1:10 PM

You guys walked into Maji Burger. The walk was only ten minutes, but your legs felt like jello after all that running around.

"[Last Name]-san? Takao-san?"

Turning around, you saw Kuroko.

"Kuroko-kun! Hi!" you greeted cheerfully.

"Hey," Takao said.

"It's nice to see you again. It's been a while," Kuroko commented, taking a sip of his milkshake.

"I know!" you replied, "How's Kagami-kun? Is he still in America?"

He nodded. "He just got into the NBA."

"Really?" Takao questioned with a laugh, "Don't tell Shin-chan; he'll get jealous."

You told Takao what you wanted so you could find a table and catch up with Kuroko.

"Are you on a date?" Kuroko asked.

You nodded. "We've done a lot today."

"How long have you been together?"

"Eh..." you thought for moment, "For about four years now."

You chatted with him for a couple of minutes until Takao brought the tray of food.

Kuroko stood up. "I'll be going now. Have a good day."

1:45 PM

You yawned. "Let's go to your place a take a nap."

Takao nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a good idea, [Nickname]-chan."

Hand in hand, you guys headed towards Takao's apartment. The walk would be rather long, but you were looking foward to a little rest.

2:25 PM

You got in bed beside Takao, borrowing one of his T-shirts to sleep in. Takao had took of his shirt earlier.

You snuggled Takao, laying your head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around you protectively.

He kissed the top of your head. "Have a nice nap~"

"You too."

Slowly, but surely, your eyelids closed as you entered blissful sleep.

4:30 PM

You opened your eyes. Takao was no longer in bed. Sitting up, you read the time on his alarm clock.

A two hour nap? You thought while you stretched.

Takao walked in, his shirt back on. "You're awake. No nightmares?"

You smiled. "No nightmares."

He gave you a quick kiss. "What shall we do now? I have some video games we could play."

"Let's play Mario Kart," you suggested.

5:30 PM

"How do you keep on beating me?!" Takao asked incredously, throwing the remote down in defeat.

You smirked. "They do call me the Queen of Mario Kart."

Takao chuckled. "And who are 'they'?"

"Me, myself, and I."

He laughed again before becoming serious. "We're going on a walk."

You changed back into your clothing and went outside, where Takao was waiting for you.

He took you to a small lake. The lake you went to on your first date.

"[First Name]-chan..." The use of your first name told you he was being serious. "I love you so much-" Takao got down on one knee. "-and I want you to be with me forever. Will you marry me?"

He opened a little box containing a ring with a small diamond placed on it.

You nodded. "Yes!"

Takao grinned, and slid the ring on your finger. You embraced him, tears of joy falling down your face.

"I love you, too, Kazunari-kun."
