Betrayal.

Such a torturous word. Especially to the likes of young Larissa Montague, whose parents had been urging to set up an engagement between her and a Black son. Of course, pre-occupied and self-reserved Regulus denied until his throat nearly ruptured. He did not want marriage, not now. He would've rather killed over than wed poor Larissa. Fortunate she felt the same. 

Sirius, on the other hand, had no say in whether or not it was decided. His lips were merely sewn together in a tight knot to keep his family's legacy. After all, the engagement would finally give his parents some relief.

So it was agreed. The girl would soon lose her name and instead be taunted as Mrs. Sirius Black. But, Regulus crept up to her, slowly tormenting her with his undeniable beauty and cleverness. 

Betrayal. It had to be done.
