"Fools! Failures!" Joker screamed as he paraded into a seemingly empty house. The sirens screamed throughout the city. He could feel his blood boil with rage. There was no way he was going back to Arkham. No way. He growled before drawing out his pistol and shooting five of his men. The five who had let him down. They chickened out, froze. They couldn't finish their job and because of that he had to pay.

"Anyone else!" He challenged. His men shifted uncomfortably and cleared their throats. 'Good, they were scared', he thought to himself. He started to put away the gun when one of his stepped forward.

"Uh boss?" The man said uncertainly, staring beyond Joker.

"What?" He followed the man's gaze and quickly turned around to see a young woman standing on the steps. Her brown doe eyes were huge but not with panic and fear, they were clear and filled with determination. Anger even. He immediately found her attractive and well...unique of course. He must have her.

"Oooh look what we have here." He grinned at her with a purr. All it took was a single step from him and she bolted right back up the stairs and to her room locking the door behind her.

She tore through her drawers for her gun, panic gripping her gut as the Joker's laugh rang throughout the house and he loudly walked up the steps.

"Darling open the door or I will...and you won't like it if I have to." He called from outside, knocking softly.

"I'll take my chances." The woman said under her breath. She cocked her gun and brought her sights to the door where she heard his voice.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Silence followed and she thought she was safe till she heard the familiar cackle outside. Her stomach dropped and she felt hot tears pour down her face as the door started to shake.

"Oh I was hoping you would do that doll."
