Progression into the Past

When I reached into the bedroom, I checked the clock to see it was thirteen minutes to seven. My mind constantly kept replaying the image of the cabin the washed-out red blocks and the greyish roof which stood behind thick bushes. Then it hit me I read last night that if you went to places you had flashbacks of you can jug your memory faster.

So I typed in the description of the place. I began to scroll through the photo section looking for a match and maybe photos that can resemble the cabin when it was in top shape. I searched and search but nothing.

Suddenly I remembered we passed a run-down gas station called Garage.

As soon as I typed in an old gas station named Garage...to my surprise the location that popped up on more search on the gas station, I found out it was located in rural Queensland Australia. I started looking up cabins in Queensland and upon more research, I found a cabin located in the Jungle, Palm Grove, Proserpine, Queensland, Australia it was the exact replica of the one in the dream.

I decided to call up the real estate agent in Australia. I got a number off the internet and called it in hopes of gaining more information.

I dialled the number.

The person answered after the fourth ring.

" Hello Vogue Real Estate, How may I help you." her voice was jolly but yet rigid.

" Hi, I'm calling to find out about an old red brick cabin located in Queensland I'm interested in buying it."

" Ohh wow, well I must say this is a surprise, that cabin has been abandoned for years now. The last owner was murdered in his home a few years back. I'd say this wouldn't be the best choice to buy." She said rather sharply.

"Okay... so what price is the cabin selling for?"

"Well, the cabin isn't for sale...I'm not trying to scared you away from the property but they are somethings that are better left alone. I'm sorry this whole conversation was unprofessional. Please forgive me, if you are still interested in a property I can refer to some properties in the same area for you."

"Thank you, and yes I'm still interested you can send it to my email [email protected]."

"Okay Miss Koch I'll send you the necessary information, thank you for calling us."

As soon as I hang up the phone I quickly went and logged into my Gmail account. She sent me an email with all the places in Queensland. With some research, I picked the property closest to the cabin. Once I knew the exact path that leads to the cabin I'd be able to do my necessary searching. Because there was something they didn't want me to know made them try to divert me from the property I was truly interested in.

I was so deep in thoughts I didn't see Keke enter the room she was just standing there watching me.

"Hey, how long have you been standing there," I asked a little weirded out.

"Not too long...what you doing?"

I was battling whether to tell her or not but then again it's my best friend I've known her all my life.

"Well I had this dream last night and it was relating to my parents and past. I know you don't know much about me since I myself lost my memory and they come back to me in fragments and last night was the most I remembered."

"Yeah I know, I'm here for you I want to help you remember as much as possible so whatever you need I'm here...So tell me about this dream of yours."

I told her the dream from start to finish, all along her face was blank as she sat and listened intensely.

20 minutes after

"So what you plan to do about the clues you have gained," she asked me now bursting with anticipation.

"Well..." I began, " I did some research while you were asleep and the place I saw was located in Australia...I called the real estate company there and they were really hesitant about giving me info about the property I was interested in. So I decided to play interested in a place near the cabin I want to investigate. I somehow feel if I see the place itself It might jog my memories a little more."

"So, we are going to have a mini trip during school time?"

"Who said anything about you coming?"

"Are you seriously not going to allow me to come with you? Uhhh...I'm hurt," she said being a drama queen, as usual, pretending to wipe away a tear.

"Stwwwww...that's the ugliest cry face I've ever seen...don't continue you can come if you got money to pay your passage."

She held her chest operating as though she was having chest pain and said. " Juliet it's me you're talking to babygirl...you know I always got money."

"Whatever drama queen you can come all I have to do is book a flight to for two and we'll be on our way."

I quickly pulled up the website Skyscanner, I entered outlined my tentative travel plans and looked for the best price and booked the flights for us a week from now.

"So what are we going to do about school?" Keke asked.

"Well I'll write a letter to school for us... you know what I can't figure out though Keke, you finished school a year now and you asked for time out and started school just so you can make sure I'm safe, I can never ask for a better bestie."

"Girl I got you... come on let's get ready for school."

A week later flight getting ready to take off

"Juliettttt!! I'm so scared!!" Keke said knocking me on my arms repeatedly.

"Girl calm down everything is gonna be alright I'll be here with you the whole time." when iI said that she calmed down gradually as we ascend into the air.

"Juliet I'm hungry...wgat kind of airline you booked us with they didnt even serve a little snack and its been a hour already."

"Keke it has not been an hour."

"Well it sure feels like it."

Keke started to knock on my arms repeatedly know exactly how annoying I found it. Before showing me a air hostess.

"Call her big head what you waiting for?"

"But she's gonna come to us in a few...relax."

"Stwwww...do you see how long that man with the bald head is taking to order his full course meal?"

"Keke thats disrespectful!" I said in a hushed tone.

I watched as Keke slowly became agitated. Its been twenty minutes and she hasn't come to us yet.

When i was about to get all boisterous the air hostess came strolling her tray.

"What can I get you lovely ladies?" the young blode woman with pouty lips asked us with a smile stretching from ear to ear.

"I'd like to ha..." I was abruptly interrupted by keke saying her order.

******************

The twenty one hour and forty six minutes flight to Australia was finally up. It was nerve rocking but it was over. When we were finished with immigration and the works. We headed out the airport to catch a taxi when I saw a pretty brunette with a diamond-shaped face woman walking to us with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Keke jams me and noticing to the woman who was slowly approaching us.

I looked back to see if it was someone behind us she was looking at. But no one seemed to be coming in the same direction as us.

The woman stood in front of us she wore a navy blue skirt suit with a white shirt. Her lips were painted red and her hair was worn low which went nice with her drop pearl earrings.

"Good Evening miss Koch. I'm here to escort you to the Queensland property."

Well thats creapy. How did the real estate agent know when juliet would arrive? Is there something that they want to hide find out in the next chapter.

Don't forget to like this chapter it would mean alot to me.

Little announcement I'm currently writing A vampire book before continuing this so check it out on my profile.
