Caldon is a solitary type. He doesn't often feel the need to go interact with others, human or dragon. He prefers to stay alone in his lair, only leaving to hunt. However, he does on occasion go to nearby villages, flying overhead and getting far too close for most of the resident's comforts. He never hurts anyone though, just frightens them. Partly because he finds it entertaining to watch the humans scramble around in fear below him, but also partly because if they're scared they're far less likely to attempt to approach his lair. Every once in a while, one has been brave enough but most run away as soon as he emerges in his dragon form.

When it comes to other dragons, he finds interacting with them draining and exhausting, so he attempts to avoid it when he can.

If he does interact with another person, he tends to be a bit of an asshole. If he likes someone, this often comes out as teasing, a lot of sarcasm, and just general huffiness. If he doesn't like someone, which is the case far more often, he's straight-up insulting. He wants to pick a fight, and he wants to win the fight. Often, these verbal fights will turn physical, which is the way he prefers it.

Now, there are two "creatures" that are exemptions to those two instances. He's always kind to cats and young children. Cats are simply his favorite animal and the only things that he loves spending time with. There are plenty around his home, and he takes care of all of them.

When it comes to children, it's not like he's baby crazy or anything. In fact, the thought of taking care of a child worries him and doesn't particularly sound appealing at the moment. However, he does feel...Bad, scaring them or making them upset in general. Aside from that, they remind him of someone that was very important to him, so he wants to make sure they're safe when they're near him. Often, however, he does chase them away from his lair should they get too close for that very reason. They aren't safe there. He'd rather scare them than have them hurt after all.

Everyone in your village knows about the dragon that made its lair nearby. While it minded its own business for the most part, it did have an awful habit of getting far too close. It scared livestock and humans alike by flying overhead and too far down for anyone's comfort. On occasion, someone would attempt to show how brave they were {or they were too drunk/curious think better of it} and wander towards the lair. They always came back shaken up, though injuries were never worse than a few scratches and bruises. Because of this, it was widely thought that it was better to just leave the beast alone. As of now, it wasn't hurting anyone so it was better not to anger it by trying to chase it away or kill it. At the very least, it did keep any pillaging types away just by living near the only road into the place so there was that benefit as well.

However, your sibling/child had always been fascinated with the idea of dragons. It was only a matter of time before they tried to see one up close and in person, but you thought you'd made it clear they should stay away by now. Who knew what would make the dragon snap, and a small child deciding to get too close might very well be the thing to do it.

You'd thought that but...When you couldn't find them one day for dinner you knew exactly where they had to have been. You felt nothing but dread over it as you rushed towards the lair.

And, sure enough, you could see them at the entrance. However, what you didn't expect, was the dragon simply laying down as they climbed around its legs. It seemed annoyed, but was holding still and watching the child very closely. When it spotted you it narrowed its eyes and let out a very loud huff.

What do you do?
