Castiel decided to stay with Natalia, not that she minded. He thought that she was strange, definitely not like her brothers or sisters. Natalia was caring, definitely not cold hearted like her siblings.

The way she dressed was strange too. Her hair was in a complex mess of braids and things he couldn't understand. Her face had tiny cuts or scars, but was covered up by black face paint. The rest of her clothing was all leather and scraps of other material.

She acted strange as well.  The way her eyes were always looking elsewhere, as if looking for danger. He realized then that she acted like a warrior. And he could tell that she was a good one.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" She questioned him. Her voice was soft, but held a certain edge to it. Showing him that she was still a Leviathan, and not to be messed with.

"I don't recognize you from the other Leviathan." He admitted.

"You've met my siblings? When."

He hesitated a few seconds, debating if he should tell her. When he saw the genuine curiosity in her eyes, he knew it wasn't a charade.

He told her how he swallowed up the Leviathan's and played God. He told her everything, though he wasn't sure why. Natalia was quiet the whole time, listening and not interrupting as Dean would. The thought of Dean sent a pang through his chest, remembering the prayers he has been sending the angel.

"Wow. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I don't think it's your fault though, you thought you were doing the right thing." She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

He looked at her in the eyes, happy someone didn't start to yell at him for telling his story. In the end, all he wanted to do was protect the people he cared about. "Thank you."

With a nod of her head, Natalia got up and shook off the dirt on her pants. "Not that I don't love these little talks Castiel, but I've been down here for quite some time so I have a job to do. You're welcome to come with me if you like."

"I have something else to do as well, but I'll meet you here at sundown," Castiel responded.

"Okay, see you later." And with that, she exited her home and went to explore a new part of the never ending forest. She thought that if maybe she could find a new part then she could maybe escape.

But the trip didn't go as smooth as Natalia wanted it to be. Mostly vampires got in her way, but they were easy to handle. It's not like she could die and stay dead. She would just show up somewhere random. It's happened before.

The day dragged on and nothing exciting happened. The strangest thing she witnessed was a large stream with three trees that grew together and they concealed a bundle of boulders. Natalia didn't think much of it though. After all, it was just a bunch of stones, trees, and water.

When the sky started to get darker, Natalia decided it was a good time to head back. As she walked in silence, her head swarmed with thoughts.

She knew that the angel and human would not be staying long in Purgatory. It was no place for a human, nor an angel. Someone would notice their absence or they would get lucky and find a way out. Humans always were the lucky creatures.

A sudden sound of footsteps made the woman stop in her tracks and drop her train of thought. They sounded close, but as she looked around she saw no one. Brushing it off, she decided to keep on walking.

The cool metal of a blade being pressed to her neck stopped her from walking. She sniffed the air slightly, trying to determine who was holding her. By the smell of blood and a presence that felt like a newborn, she knew it was a vampire. A young one at that. It was probably just Turned and it got killed already. Sucks for him.

"May I ask why you are holding a blade to my throat?" She asked in a bored tone. The vampire shifted his weight and wiped his sweaty fingers on the blade.

"You're gonna show me where you hid the Angel," he said, failing at a threatening tone.

She rolled her green eyes. "Who says I have an angel?"

"Every being in Purgatory knows you have him. They even spotted you rescuing him. Word on the street is that he knows a way out." Oh does he now?

"Go home kid, you can't kill me," Natalia replied in a bored tone. The vamp didn't listen and started to dig the blade in her skin. Black blood soon started to ooze out.

"I'm warning you lady, tell me where he is."

"I'd rather not."

And with that, she suddenly felt like she was falling and darkness surrounded her. Natalia could hear the vampire walking away, a happy sigh escaping his lips as he did so. After a few minutes, she felt her head being dragged sideways, and soon her eyes opened.

The bastard chopped her head off. Luckily she was already healing, and her head was being dragged to her body. When it made contact, she stood up and cracked her neck. Damn vamps are starting to piss me off she thought.

Natalia huffed in annoyance and made her way back to her home. Once she arrived, she could feel the presence of the celestial being. "Hey Castel," she greeted him tiredly.

"Hello Natalia," he replied in his deep voice. She glanced over at him and saw that he was lost in thought. She paid it no mind and placed her weapon down. Once she did that, Natalia sat on the ground and buried her face in her palms.

"What is troubling you, Natalia?"

She let out a sarcastic laugh. "It doesn't matter."

"You can always tell me."

She bit her lip and looked up at him. His blue eyes met her green ones. "I just want to get out of here. I want to leave. I've been looking for a way out for forever, but I can't find one. It's useless."

The Angel Castiel looked at the Leviathan Natalia. Her heart was too pure to be stuck in a place like this. "It may not mean much to you, but I have faith that you will make it out of here. You will be happy."

"You really think so?"

"I do."

There was a pause. "Do you think we could be friends outside of Purgatory?"

"I don't see why not."

She smiled. "Thank you, Castiel."

I do hope I'm not boring you to death! Next chapter will have a time skip to a few months, so we can start to get somewhere.
