Chapter No.1: A Venomous alliance (part 1)

"Throughout space... throughout time... billions upon billions of alternate realities spread out and grow. A multiverse that seems to never end. But even a multiverse, as branched off and fragmented as it may be, is but another stone in the vast river of the omniverse. And no singular multiverse is the same as another, for they are separated by one single aspect."

"Stories. The tales that are told, changed, and rewritten in various ways in a multiverse. It is the stories in the multiverses that separate them from one another. In one multiverse, man's ambition brings back the past from extinction. In another multiverse, dark knights rise and men of steel take flight. A battle is waged by beings more than meets the eye. Scientists fight back against the forces of gods, demons, and the ghosts. Mutants are born to protect their city through the art of ninjitsu. The most unlikeliest of creatures holds the fate of a world in the form of a ring. On and on, they go, either ending or creating new aspects to the stories."

"From time immemorial, these multiverses have existed opposite of each other, rarely ever intersecting. But when such rarities arise, an unprecedented course of action unfolds that causes multiverses to collide. Separate stories cross over and converge, creating an entirely new tale to spin in a now interconnecting chain."

"I am the Watcher. And I have seen the beginning of one of these cross-over events. But what happens after that, is entirely beyond my foresight. Will you care to join me, so that we may find out together?"

[Location: Earth—8091]

New York City...

The day was turning to night in the city that never sleeps. People were bustling, car were beeping and honking, lights illuminated the darkness, subway trains were moving, and the moon shown brightly in the sky. But up in the sky, people could see a familiar sight. A friendly neighborhood superhero swinging building to building by slinging a web. His blue and red spandex illuminated by the city lights.

The stupendous, the marvelous, the amazing, the spectacular... Spider-Man.

As the wall-crawling superhero swung with his webs, he came upon Times Square where he landed onto the side of one of the numerous office buildings. Looking over to the tower behind the TKTS steps at the center of the plaza, Spider-Man watched as one of the digital billboards changed to the Daily Bugle News Network, where he saw the same old sight of a grumpy, middle-aged, mustached man with white and grey hair.

"On the topic of tonight's news: Chaos at the Raft! Infamous evil genius, Doctor Octopus has lead a prison breakout to bring his old band back together. Those Sinister Six hooligans. While insider reports are still slim, some of the super-powered criminals that escaped the S.H.I.E.L.D facility are none other than Electro, the Rhino, the Vulture, Scorpion, and Mysterio. However, the same insider information indicates a few other villains broke out alongside Doc Ock's gang of goons. While the Sinister Six's true motives are unknown, we can all count on without a shadow of doubt that that web-slinging menace, Spider-Man, will be at the center of it! After all, who else do we have to thank for the formation of this villainous group other than the masked, wall-crawling vigilante himself?!"

Spider-Man sighed nostalgically at the tirade of the news host as he began talking to himself. "Ah... another day, another Sinister Six threat to stop, and another hit-piece by the lovely J.Jonah Jameson. Honestly, I wonder what would happen to him if his favorite superhero to talk about was no longer around? I'm basically the main topic of half of his news reports and articles."

Spider-Man than flung out a rope of webbing from his wrist before swinging off back through the city. As he continued to swing, his phone started to vibrate in the hidden pocket of his suit.

Taking it out and answering it, Spider-Man placed the phone to his ear as he spoke to the caller. "Hey, Miles. How's everything going on your end?"

"//Why did you leave me leave here on the helicarrier?!//" Miles Morales, the Kid Arachnid, harshly whispered from his end of the call with a nervous tone. "//Nick Fury's been interrogating me on where you went, and I can't take it any longer! He's freaking me out, man.//"

"What can you expect from the world's greatest spy?" Spider-Man rhetorically asked in return. "All Fury needs to know is that I'm getting a friend to help us out on this one. We're gonna need it, considering some of Otto's new buddies."

"//It would really help if you told me who this friend is.//" Kid Arachnid told Spider-Man.

"Oh, trust me. The old pal I'm picking up isn't the kind that would sit well with ol' saint Nick." Spider-Man replied. "Far better to just grab him now and deal with Fury's... well, fury, later."

"//That's easy for you to say. You're not the one dealing with it right now!//" Kid Arachnid yelled.

"Think of it as character building for yourself. Now you'll have a better understanding of how Fury operates and how best to dodge him." Spider-Man advised to his sidekick. However, as the web-slinger continued to swing through the city, he narrowed his eyes at his intended destination. "We're gonna have to cut our conversation short. I'm getting closer to finding that friend. I'll meet you back at the hellicarrier."

"//No, wait, Peter—//!"

With that, Spider-Man hung up his phone, putting away as he cut off Kid Arachnid's attempted plea. "Sorry, kid. You're just gonna have to hang in there a little longer. But, in hindsight, it's better for you to deal with Nick rather than me."

By now, Spider-Man was in Lower Manhattan, where he landed before the doors of an old and abandoned cathedral. He looked around in caution as he began to enter into the run down place of worship.

"Cross-referencing the sightings and rumors, he should be around this area." Spider-Man muttered to himself as he ventured through the cathedral.

All across the inside of the cathedral, Spider-Man was quick to notice that parts of the building's marred state of appearance wasn't just by means of weathering and disrepair. There were slash marks and sections of the walls that indicated they were destroyed by force. To add on to all of that, Spider-Man also spotted spots and blotches scattered along some of the flooring. Most were red in color, with a few drying up into brown, indicating the stains were blood.

After some more searching, Spider-Man came upon the nave of the cathedral. The seats and benches were littered in cobwebs and dead leaves. But that was not what stood out to the web-slinger. Crashed into the ground before the altar was the cathedral bell, broken, bent out of shape, and torn apart.

As he neared the shattered bell, Spider-Man ended up stepping onto something that felt akin to cardboard. Looking down, he saw he had stepped on an empty and discarded box of chocolates.

"Oh, yeah. This is the place..." Spider-Man muttered to himself, removing his foot from the now ruined box. The superhero looked around at the rafters and pillars of the nave, seeing nothing in the darkness. "It's moments like these when I really wish my Spidey-sense worked on this guy."

It was then that Spider-Man heard a low growl, directing him to look to some of the pillars on the right side of the aisle. At first, there was still nothing he could see in the dark. But then, Spider-Man noticed a small amount of movement coming from the rafters.

"Come on out!" Spider-Man called to the darkness. "I know you're here!"

From there, Spider-Man started to see a figure take shape in the rafters, unveiling its large yet obscured form in the shadows. The large figure crawled from the rafters down to the pillars on the right aisle of the nave. It shifted its head over to Spider-Man's direction, letting out a low and raspy growl to him.

"I just want to talk!" Spider-Man yelled out to the large figure, raising his hands up in surrender.

Spider-Man watched as the figure's head continued leer over at him, before the hulking creature leapt from the pillars over to the superhero. The large figure landed to the floor with a heavy thud, looking at Spider-Man as it made its full presence known.

This large figure was muscular and well-built. It's skin a liquid black that glossed under the dim lights of the moon that cracked through some of the holes in the cathedral's roof. It's hands and feet bore claws with white patches on the back of the former. A large, and jagged white spider symbol encompassed its chest, reaching around to another spider symbol on its back. The figure also had a bald, black head with big, white pseudo eyes that were a jagged reflection of the eyes on Spider-Man'd mask. And lastly, it bore a wide and sharp-toothed maw that mimicked a grin, alongside a long tongue that flailed around in a sickly manner.

"Grahh... Spider-Man..." Growled the creature in a deep voice filled with hatred, it's mouth dripping a green saliva.

"Venom." Spider-Man regarded the creature with a reserved tone. "You mind if I talk to Eddie for a bit?"

"You speak with one of us, you speak with both of us." Venom replied as he stalked nearer to Spider-Man, letting out a low hiss from his jaws. "Not that it would make a difference in this predicament."

"Fine, if you want to be that way." Spider-Man said in return. "You guys hear the news?"

"Doctor Octavius has reformed the Sinister Six." Venom stated. "Yes. We've seen the news. Are you here assuming we have a current affiliation with them?"

"No. No. I came here to ask for your help." Spider-Man explained, shaking his head to Venom.

"Oh? Does the Spider-Man perhaps wish us to end his life for him, before the Sinister Six finds you first?" Venom guessed as his grin-shaped maw grew into a wider and devilish smile. "We would happily oblige."

"Oh-ho-ho. I'm sure you two knuckleheads would love it if I actually said yes to that." Spider-Man pointed back to him with a small and sarcastic chuckle. "But that's not why I'm here."

"Oh, but please. We insist!" Venom said with a sharp growl.

Venom then let out a roar before lunging at Spider-Man, his jaw wide open and his claws ready to slash.

"Woah!" Spider-Man exclaimed as he quickly flung out a web and swung away just in time, narrowly avoiding his head getting bitten off.

Venom turn around to see where Spider-Man went to, quickly flinging out his own black webbing to follow in pursuit.

"I'm not here to fight you guys!" Spider-Man yelled out to Venom.

"Too bad!" Venom roared out as he shifted his hands into spiked maces. "Because we oh so what to fight you. To the death!"

Venom swung his mace hands back and forth at Spider-Man in a rapid fashion as the latter did his best to dodge each swing. However, just as Spider-Man dodged the sixth swing, Venom stretched his right arm forward, landing a blow upon Spider-Man'd chest and sending him flying towards the broken bell.

"Gah!" Spider-Man shouted in pain as his back slammed against the metal of the bell.

"You're making this too easy for us, Spider-Man." Venom sneered at the superhero before letting out a laugh. "Hahaha! But we don't have much of a problem with that. No we don't."

Venom then charged over to Spider-Man, his right mace hand held high as he got ready to slam it down against Spider-Man.

Spider-Man let out a groan, clutching his stomach. He then flipped backward atop the bell before propelling himself leftward above the oncoming Venom.

"Enough!" Spider-Man shouted as he shot out a web onto Venom's mace hand. Upon landing behind his hate-filled foe, Spider-Man swiftly pulled back the web on Venom's mace with great strength, slamming the mace onto Venom's own head in return.

"I told you, I just came here to talk! Can't you just hear what I have to say?" Spider-Man tried to plead with Venom as the large brute started to recover from the blow to his head, and fast.

"Why should we listen to your words, rejector?! You are nothing but a blight upon our lives. A blight to the lives of anyone you come into contact with." Venom snarled back. "But luckily, we are the only cure to the cancer that is Spider-Man and Peter Parker!"

Venom let out an echoing roar before going in for another charge, changing his right hand into a scythe-like blade. He pulled it back, preparing to swing it out in a large arc towards Spider-Man.

However, the wall-crawler stood his ground, furrowing his eyes as he yelled out to Venom. "The Doc broke out Cletus Cassidy!"

Just as Venom was in middle of swinging his now bladed appendage at Spider-Man, he immediately paused with great efficiency. He stood still, frozen for a moment before slowing reverting his hand to its regular, clawed form. Venom then looked at Spider-Man, staring him eye to eye as he spoke. "Cletus... Carnage has been freed?"

"Yes. I don't know how, and I don't why, but Doc Ock's got Cletus under his control now." Spider-Man explained, his tone filled with concern. "I need your help to bring him in. Him and the rest of the Sinister Six. You and Eddie are the only two guys I know that can stand a better chance against Carnage."

Venom narrowed his pseudo eyes at Spider-Man, wary of his words. "We do know Carnage better than anyone else... but surely you could have contacted your Avenger palsss."

"First of all, Iron Man's either always too busy in his lab or off partying. I'm pretty sure Captain America only uses a dial-up for a personal phone. The Hulk can't even text without breaking the screen, and you try getting Thor into you're contacts list." Spider-Man replied back in a joking manner. His tone then became more somber and serious as he continued. "But seriously, despite our gripes, grudges, and differences, I knew that you were the guys I needed. So I say this with all the sincerity I have in me... help me Venom, you're my only hope."

Venom simply gave a deadpan stare to Spider-Man as he let out a short, but mildly annoyed growl.

"Sorry. I had to say that." Spider-Man apologized with a nonchalant shrug. "Funny, me using that line on you."

Venom titled his head at Spider-Man as he let out a disgruntled hum. "We agree that Carnage must be stopped. But last you asked of us to help you stop him, you turned on us. Tried to separate us."

"That-that won't happen this time. Spider's honor." Spider-Man crossed his finger on his chest before raising his hand in the air.

"Is that supposed to ease us?" Venom asked.

Spider-Man sighed for a moment, lowering his head before looking back at Venom. "Look, my experience with the symbiote is never going to go away. I still think it's too dangerous. But you, Eddie, I've seen the papers. I've heard from people on the streets. You're trying to turn around. You're helping people. You're keeping your anger in check. You stop burglars, you fight off other symbiotes, you rescue cats out of trees for little girls. Where you once would have torn the hinges off of a ferris wheel just to throw it at me, you're now the one making sure it doesn't fall over."

Venom listened to his words, letting them sink in as he seemed to calm down a bit.

"This isn't just about you being a counter against Cletus. I want to believe that you can be a hero. I've seen you do good before, and I want you to show it to everyone." Spider-Man continued. "With great power, comes great responsibility. Be the hero you want people to see you as. You don't have to be the monster of the story."

"So is that it? You want us to show you we can be good guys?" Venom asked with another sneer.

"You know that's not what I'm saying to you." Spider-Man stated to Venom in a firm yet soft tone.

Venom let out another hum as he looked over to side, thinking to himself.

"...We should help him." Eddie Brock spoke to Venom from within their shared mind.

"Why should we? It would be better for us to kill him now, and deal with the Sinister Six ourselves." Venom retorted, subconsciously. "That way, we get the glory."

"You know as well as I do that we don't have the strength to take on Carnage and the Sinister Six." Eddie replied. "We both want Parker to pay, but right now, we need to set aside our differences to stop the bigger threat."

"I don't like it." Venom stated.

"Look at this way, pal." Eddie told Venom. "Parker can be fodder for the Six while we deal with Carnage. If the wall-crawler is still kicking and dealing with Doc Ock and his cronies when we're done with Carnage, we can swoop in and save his butt for a change by taking down the Sinister Six ourselves. With this, we can finally get the recognition we've wanted. The recognition we've deserved. Sure Jameson will probably try to smear us along with Parker, but even he can't resist the chance to write about someone showing up Spider-Man."

Venom gave a hum in response to Eddie as he thought it over.

"So, what do you say?" Spider-Man asked Venom. "Will you help, or are you gonna try and kill me?"

Venom looked back over to Spider-Man, his mind made up. "We will destroy you... but at another time. Carnage and the Sinister Six must be stopped. Not to mention, this will be our chance to prove to the world that we are a better champion than you, Parker."

"That's the spirit!" Spider-Man pointed to Venom with a jovial tone, brushing off the back-handed comment. He then stuck his hand out for Venom to shake. "Put 'er there, partner."

Venom looked at Spider-Man's hand before promptly smacking it away with an annoyed growl. "Let's just get this over with."

"Baby steps." Spider-Man thought to himself before clearing his throat. "Okay then. Follow me. We have a helicarrier to catch."

Spider-Man then promptly started to run out of the cathedral, with Venom close behind. Once they were outside, they both flung out their respective webs and took to the air, swinging through the the streets of New York.

[Location: Daily Bugle building]

As Spider-Man and Venom had swung through the city, the former had contacted Nick Fury for a lift to the helicarrier. After a momentary, stern talk Nick had with Spider-Man, one the web-crawler thought sounded more as a threat than a reprimand, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D complied nonetheless and set up a rendezvous point atop the roof of the Daily Bugle.

Upon their arrival, already Spider-Man and Venom spotted a quinjet flying in from the distance.

"Fury works fast." Venom commented as he stared at the quinjet.

"That is what happens when everyone in a military secret agency both respect and fear their boss." Spider-Man quipped. "The equivalent of a tardy slip from Nick Fury is a combination of scolding displeasure and having to wash every quinjet onboard the helicarrier for a week. I should know."

"Why is it that every employer you work under is an angry old man who torments you?" Venom questioned Spider-Man as he looked over to him. "Have you developed a depraved fetish for masochism?"

"What? No!" Spider-Man denied, furrowing his eyes and pointing at Venom. "And don't even think about spreading that thought of yours around town. The last thing I need is for someone like Black Cat to get any ideas."

From there on, the two spider-themed supers watched as the quinjet landed before them. As the back of the aerial vehicle opened up, a female agent stepped out and walked over to Spider-Man and Venom. She had very short black hair while wearing a black, form-fitting suit. She also wore white boots, white gloves, a white shoulder harness, and white belt where the holster for her gun resided. However, said gun had been promptly pulled out and aimed directly at Venom.

"Spider-Man." The woman spoke to the superhero as her stern eye were trained on Venom. "Do you mind explaining why Venom is standing right next to you?"

"Well... I'm sure my trusty sidekick told Fury I was picking up a friend." Spider-Man said, nervously chuckling as he rubbed the back of his head.

"We're the calvary." Venom proclaimed, pointing his thumb to himself while narrowing his eyes back at the female agent.

"On who's authority?" The woman asked with an almost scoffing expression. "We lock up criminals. We don't work with them."

Venom growled at the woman before looking at Spider-Man. "Your secret agent ally is getting on our nerves. Just who does she think she is?"

"Ah. Where are my manners? Venom, meet Maria Hill. Maria Hill, meet Venom." Spider-Man introduced the woman's name. "I would like to think that you two might actually get along. Sadly, I don't always get what I like to think."

Spider-Man then looked at Maria, speaking to her. "Look, Agent Hill. I've worked with Venom before. He can be a good guy. Not to mention he's the only person we have access to that has a natural link to the Carnage symbiote. He can track Cletus's location."

"Maybe he can." Maria offered. "But I can't let a known, dangerous criminal make his way up to the helicarrier without the proper precautions and supervision."

Still keeping her gun locked onto Venom, Maria opened up one the back pouches on her belt, pulling out a pair of energy handcuffs.

Venom narrowed his eyes further at Maria, baring more of his sharp fangs at the sight of the cuffs.

"Oh, come on. Surely there has to be a more welcoming and friendlier solution to this." Spider-Man tried to plead with Maria.

"It's either this, or I'm taking him by force." Maria firmly stated to Spider-Man.

"Really wrong choice of words, Hill." Spider-Man thought to himself as he glanced over at Venom.

For a moment, Venom and Maria had a motionless stand off, neither one taking their eyes off of the other. The silence of the situation was intense. But then, to Spider-Man's surprise, Venom started to convert his mass to a more human size. The black ooze that made up the creature changed into black clothing comprised of jeans, a biker jacket, and a shirt with the white spider symbol upon it.

It was there that the face of Eddie Brock was shown, having grown a bit of a stubble to go alongside his blonde, flattop haircut. Eddie raised his hands up in surrender as he began to slowly walk towards Maria Hill.

"We get it." Eddie calmly spoke. "We'll go with the cuffs. But no holding cell. Me and my other want to see Fury, directly, along with Spider-Man."

Maria didn't let up on her stern gaze as she motioned for Eddie to turn around. "Hands behind your back."

"This is humiliating." Venom inwardly spoke.

"Just deal with it for now. It's all to stop Carnage." Eddie reassured the symbiote.

As Spider-Man watched Maria lock the energy cuffs onto Eddie's hands, he couldn't help but think to himself with a small sense of awe. "He really is changing for the better."

From there, Maria led Eddie to the quinjet as Spider-Man followed from behind. Inside, she situated Eddie into one of the seats, locking him in securely whilst Spider-Man sat adjacent to him.

"It's not first class, but you gotta admit there's at least something cool about riding in an advanced, military jet." Spider-Man said to Eddie, trying to make conversation.

Eddie gave no response to Spider-Man other than a deadpanned, bland look.

Meanwhile, Maria walked up to the cockpit of the quinjet, speaking to the pilot. "We're all set. Get this bird back to the nest."

"Yes, ma'am." The pilot nodded as he started up the engines and activated the navigation system.

The back door of the quinjet started to close up as it took to the air, flying away from the roof of the Daily Bugle as it headed back to the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier.

[Location: S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier]

As of now, Maria Hill, Eddie Brock, and Spider-Man were taking the elevator at the helicarrier runway down to the command center of the enormous aircraft.

Upon arriving, Eddie could see that the command center was filled with S.H.I.E.L.D agents moving to and through. They were busier than a hive of bees. Closer to the large windshields of the command center were rows of computers that were dutifully operated by S.H.I.E.L.D personnel. At the very edge of computer rows was the man in charge of it all. Nick Fury. A bald, African-American with a goatee beard and an eye patch over his scarred, left eye.

He stood firm with his arms crossed watching the large, holographing computer screen on the inside of the command center windshield as it showed a map of the Earth.

Spider-Man and Eddie stopped a few feet away from the director of S.H.I.E.L.D as Maria walked up to him.

"Director Fury." Maria acknowledged Nick, standing at attention with her hands behind her back. "Spider-Man is here, as you requested."

Nick Fury turned around to look at Spider-Man, before looking over at Eddie. "When the Kid Arachnid said you were going to get a friend, I didn't think the word "friend" was a loose term here."

"In his defense, I didn't tell him who I was getting." Spider-Man explained.

"I could tell by the kid's anxiety about me questioning him." Nick said. "However, I must remind you that this is an all hands on deck situation. I don't appreciate my authority being undermined during a crisis. Especially when I'm not consulted beforehand."

"I know. I know. I'll mop the runway after all of this is over." Spider-Man told Nick. "But the moment Doc Ock got away with Carnage, I knew I had to find Eddie and Venom right away."

"Yes. Our file on the symbiotes say they share a link with their offspring." Nick nodded in acknowledgment. "Using Venom as a blood hound would be a viable option in tracking where the Sinister Six escaped to. At the very least, in finding Carnage."

"See? I knew you'd agree this is was a smart plan." Spider-Man smirked beneath his mask as he motioned to Eddie.

"Now, I didn't say that one bit." Nick replied to Spider-Man, causing the web-slinger to blink in confusion.

"But you just said—." Spider-Man tried to point out.

"I said that Venom is a viable option. I didn't say he was the smartest one." Nick proclaimed. "For what we might be facing here, I need people I can count on. The records of Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote are shaky, to say the least. They're far from the best team players, especially around you, and their fighting habits are more violent than most. Lethal even. Not to mention their prior history before they chose a path of fighting crime, which even in that department their methods are questionable."

"Oh, come on. We can give these two a chance." Spider-Man motioned his hands at Eddie, and by proxy, Venom. "Everyone took a chance on the Hulk, and look how that turned out."

"He is... coming to our defense?" Venom questioned in befuddlement. "Is this some sort of ruse to lower our guard down around him?"

"It's hard to say for certain." Eddie thought back to Venom as he glanced at Spider-Man. "I want to think what you're thinking of... but something's itching at the back of my head that's telling me differently."

"Except the Hulk doesn't go around biting people's heads off." Nick rebutted.

"Okay... that is a fair point." Spider-Man muttered. He then shook his head as began to refute Nick Fury. "But that doesn't excuse that these guys are trying to do good. They may hate me, but they want to help people. And they have the power to do it. I've seen it myself. Trust me on this."

Nick Fury stared at Spider-Man, casting him an unreadable gaze. Soon after that, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D looked over to Maria Hill. "Remove Mr. Brock's handcuffs."

Maria glanced at Nick for a small moment, seemingly hesitant at first. But all of that subsided as followed through with the order.

Spider-Man watched Maria begging to unlock Eddie's handcuffs before looking back at Nick. "So we're all good now?"

"No. I still don't trust Eddie Brock or Venom." Nick bluntly told Spider-Man. "But so long as you trust them, that's just going to work for the time being."

As Eddie rubbed his now free hands, he walked closer up to Nick Fury. "So how do you want to go about this, boss-man?"

Nick merely turned back around to stare at the holographic world map as he replied to the question. "First we're going to have to bring you up to speed on who else the good doctor broke out."

The director motioned at one of the technicians, who responded by changing the world map to images and data files of the escaped super-criminals.

"Alongside Carnage and the usual list of suspects, Octavius had also freed the Tinkerer, Alistair Smythe, and the Lizard." Nick informed.

"All of Spider-Man's most dangerous enemies." Eddie commented whilst crossing his arms. He glanced back at said superhero. "Excluding me, obviously."

"Careful, Brock. You almost sound sad you weren't invited to their party." Spider-Man regarded to Venom's host.

Eddie looked at the image of Carnage, a sour frown dawning his expression. "Two symbiotes are a crowd."

"Now, while the Six adding Carnage to their roster fits the profile of trying to get enough muscle to take out Spider-Man, the additions of the Tinkerer, Smythe, and the Lizard suggests there's a scientific angle to all of this." Nick said as he placed his hand to his chin. "With the combined intellect and techno-know-how of these guys, the possibilities are just limitless, but grim."

"Knowing Doc Ock, it's going to be something that'll match his ego." Spider-Man remarked.

"And if we're going to find out what his plans are, we need to approach this with stealth." Nick stated. "Venom and Spider-Man alone won't be enough to combat the Six with their new friends. Which means we're going to need to build the right team for this operation. And I think I know just the players to use."

[Location: Germany]

Deep in the mountainous woods of Germany lay an old castle. It had been undisturbed for decades. But as of recent, it had gained new residency, who's machinations would undoubtedly spell disaster for the world.

Moving through the shadows of the castle halls was a man in his late fifties with slicked back, receding dark-brown hair, and black, templess glasses resting over his eyes. His attire was primarily olive green, going from his boots, pants, and his high-collared coat designed similar to coburn great coat. But the most striking detail about this man was the four, long, metallic tentacles attached to his back. Each of them had sucker-cup indents on their bottom sides with glowing red lights on their ends with clawed pincers. This man was one of Spider-Man smartest, and most dangerous of foes. Doctor Otto Octavius. A.K.A Doctor Octopus.

The scientific criminal mastermind made his way to an open door. Beyond the door was a spacious room with bookshelves, ornate furniture, and a fireplace built into it. All of it having been kept clean and tidy.

Doctor Octopus glanced around the room, his lips curving into a thin and small smile as he spoke. "Are we all getting acquainted with each other?"

Inside the room was a hefty, anomalous group of individuals. All of them, moseying about with either calm or impatient expressions.

The first of them was Adrian Toomes, the Vulture. A bald and aging man with a firm body build. He wore a mechanical green, black, and silver suit with talons on his boots and blades wings sprouting from his back. Sitting off to the side on a nearby table was helmet of similar color to the suit, having a beak-like faceplate and a large black visor to cover the wearer's eyes.

Standing next to the fireplace with his arms crossed was Maxwell Dillon. Electro. He wore a green, black, and yellow suit with short pauldrons on his shoulders. The torso section of his suit had a yellow lighting pattern on each side of his chest that continued down onto the legs of the suit. His gloves were black and yellow while he wore yellow boots. Lastly, he wore a mask over his face with a golden lighting pattern that sprouted from the eye sockets and stretched to the back of Electro's head.

Third was MacDonald Gargan. The Scorpion. His body was completely covered in a mechanical, form-fitting green and black suit, save for an opening on his helmet that showed his mouth. Speaking of his helmet, it had pincers on the side of Gargan's chin while his eyes were hidden behind two, large orange visor goggles. However, the most striking appearance about him was that at the back of his waist was a large and long mechanical, scorpion-like tail with a stinger tip that glowed a lime green color. Undoubtedly, the Scorpion's tail could be used to deadly affect.

Then there was Quentin Beck. The master of illusions. Mysterio. For the most part, he wore a form-fitting green suit with gold rims to outline sections of the suit. On his arms, he wore large, golden vambraces that jutted out at the back in four corners. Attached to his neck was a large, magenta cape. Though the most striking part of Mysterio's outfit was the large, spherical glass dome that covered his head, showing no sign of a human face save for a heavy fog that swirled within it.

To name the elephant in the room, who was currently sitting on the couch, was Aleksei Sytsevich. The Rhino. He was a very large and strong man covered in a thick and heavy mechanical body armor, which had wiring that gave the appearance of pulsing veins. His head was covered by a thick and sturdy helmet with glowing blue eyes and two horns atop of it; the front horn being vastly larger than the second horn.

Together, along with Doctor Octopus, these villains formed the infamous group known as the Sinister Six. But ever since the breakout at the Raft, they had gained four new compatriots.

Crouching in the shadows of the room was the creature known as the Lizard. Once known as the brilliant scientist, Curtis "Curt" Conners, he had been transformed into the humanoid reptilian after experimenting in ways to regrow human limbs with the DNA of a lizard. The Lizard himself was covered in green scales with sharp fangs in his mouth, and clawed fingers and toes. His white lab coat was open and torn. His purple pants were in a similar predicament as a long tail had sprouted out behind the apparel.

Standing near the bookshelves whilst reading a book was a man known as Alistair Smythe. Renowned for his proficiency in robotics, Smythe has created some of the deadliest robots designed to specifically counteract Spider-Man. The spider slayers. But after many failed attempts with his drones, Smythe had been mutated with bio-mechanical armor, becoming the Spider Slayer. Heavily armored, Smythe had clawed gauntlets and four spider metal legs protruding from his back. His head was covered by an horned, insectoid helmet with visor-like yellow goggles covering his eyes. Lastly, he bore a symbol of the spider on his chest. It was a way to taunt Spider-Man whenever Smythe would hunt the web-slinging superhero.

Sitting in a chair in the room was elderly man with balding, grey hair. He wore square glasses over his eyes while his clothes consisted of a brown jacket over a white, button-up shirt, along with white pants. His name was Phineas Mason. The Tinkerer. A brilliant inventor who made it his life's work to build devices to counter superheroes, with Spider-Man being his primary target.

The final villain in the room was currently stalking around on the ceiling with a sinister disposition. His shape was lanky yet brawny. He was covered head to toe in a red and black symbiote. His claws were long and sharp. His teeth were black and jagged. His pseudo-eyes were crooked. And tendrils lathered and writhed all along his body. This was the infamous, sociopathetic serial killer, Cletus Cortland Kassidy. But these days, he went by one name, and one name alone. Carnage.

Alistair Smythe looked over to Doctor Octopus as he entered the room. "Define "acquainted" in this case."

"I, for one, am enjoying myself fantastically!" Carnage proclaimed. "It feels like I'm at an exotic petting zoo that comes with its own magician! Hey, Mysterio, can you pull Lizard's head out of your fish bowl?"

"It's not a fish bowl." Mysterio muttered in annoyance.

"What do I have to do with a petting zoo?" The Tinkerer questioned.

Carnage hopped down from the ceiling, walking over to the Tinkerer as he rested his arm on the back of the chair the old man sat in. "What's any petting zoo without a smelly, old grandpa that takes his noisy grandkids to look at the animals? Hahaha!"

"Please. I bet I bathe more than you do." The Tinkerer retorted to Carnage, rolling his eyes as he crossed his arms.

"No matter how much soap and conditioner you use, you can never get rid of the smell of a walking, decaying corpse. Hehe!" Carnage said with a crazed snicker.

The Tinkerer gave an annoyed grunt as he looked over to Doctor Octopus. "What is the purpose for this psychopath being here?"

Before Octopus could answer him, Carnage morphed his hand into a axe, holding it under the Tinkerer's throat.

"Sociopath. So-cio-path!" Carnage clarified as his head twitched. "There is a very clear difference."

"Put your arm away, Carnage." Doctor Octopus stated to Carnage. "There is no need for any of us to become adversaries. At least none that would benefit us at this point in time."

Carnage looked over at Octopus, moving his axe hand away from Tinkerer's throat and pointing it at the tentacled doctor. "And why should I listen to you, Professor Calamari? I appreciate the breakout and all, don't get me wrong, but what can you of all people offer to a killer like me? What's stopping me from just slicing up all of you and going on my merry way?"

"Is that a challenge, sumasshedshiy?" Rhino asked Carnage with a daring tone, standing up from the couch and stomping one foot forward.

"If you're gonna insult me, Comrade, at least do it in English. That way I might just feel offended." Carnage advised to the brute.

Rhino let out a snorting grunt as he kicked his foot back, getting ready to charge at Carnage.

"A pity. We just arrived here, and already we're getting into the drama." Mysterio lamented, rolling his eyes behind his dome helmet.

Before Rhino and Carnage could start a brawl in the room, Doctor Octopus promptly got in between the two, aiming his upper tentacle arms at both of them. "Gentlemen, gentlemen. If we fight amongst ourselves, it will just make things easier for Spider-Man and S.H.I.E.L.D when they inevitably start to track us down. But by all of us working together, we have a greater chance for success than any of us have ever had before."

"What isss your game here, Octaviusss?" The Lizard asked as he walked over to Doctor Octopus.

Doctor Octopus looked over to the Lizard, smirking at him. "The end kind, my old colleague. Allow me to show you."

Several minutes later, Doctor Octopus had led the villainous group to an underground section of the castle, explaining to them about the building's history.

"Back in the days of the Second World War, this castle was once a research facility for Hydra. At separate times, it was overseen by Baron Zemo, and the Red Skull." Doctor Octopus lectured. "However after a devastating surprise attack from the Howling Commandos, Hydra had no choice but abandon this outpost. But they did not do so without stashing away some of their technology and research."

"And what was it that they were researching?" Smythe asked Doctor Octopus as the group then passed through two large doors.

Beyond the doors was a large, stone room that was filled with spaced out wiring, all of which led to a back wall where they were revealed to be connected to a large machine. The machine itself was still a work in progress in terms of its build, but the center of it suggested it would end up forming a large, ring shape once it was completed.

Doctor Octopus smiled at the machine as he spread his arm out in a grand gesture. "Portals to other worlds! The ability to travel to anywhere in our known universe. Hydra concocted their research here in the aspiring goal to find an otherworldly advantage over the Allied forces."

"So say that as if traveling to other planets is revolutionary." Vulture pointed out with a bland look in his eyes. "Asgardians and all sorts of aliens like to come to Earth on a yearly basis. Carnage is one of them."

"Yeah." Carnage said before letting lout a devilish snicker. "But I probe people very differently."

"Ah, but interstellar portals were merely the tip of the ice berg, my friends." Doctor Octopus raised his finger. "With my theories, we can create a machine that won't just send us to other worlds, but to alternate realities as well. We could traverse the multiverse at will."

At these words, every villain shared glances and looks of intrigue with one another as Octopus continued on.

"Think of the endless possibilities. For you, Mysterio, you could find a universe where you are the star and hero, adored by his beloved fans. For you, Vulture, a universe where you could stay young forever. For Carnage, a universe for him to make his biggest body count."

"Ohoohoohoo! I like the sound of that." Carnage excitedly said as he rubbed his hands together.

"And then for you, Lizard, a universe where sentient reptiles are the dominant species of Earth." Doctor Octopus said he balled his hand into a fist and raised it up. "Each of us could live out our greatest dreams and desires. No longer would we be thwarted by heroes like the Avengers, the X-Men, S.H.I.E.L.D, or that pesky Spider-Man. We would finally have control over our own destinies."

"Now that sound electrifying." Electro said with an eager grin.

"All of this sound magnificent, Otto, truly." The Tinkerer started with a calm look before quickly giving Doctor Octopus a questioning stare. "But how do you pertain to make this pipe dream of yours anything but?"

"Look around you, Phineas. This room is filled with some of the greatest minds and technicians our world has ever seen." Doctor Octopus declared. "Should we put our heads together, the word "nothing" would not exist in the boundless accomplishments we could achieve."

"You already have my vote." The Lizard stated. "But how will we power the machine? What you are asssking for will require a power source that will keep it functional and ssstable."

"And I know just the power source to obtain." Doctor Octopus said with a knowing smile. "Though I hope some of you don't mind going to Citrusville, Florida to get it."

"I'll pack the sunscreen!" Carnage yelled out in a cheerful manner, causing others of the group to look at him strangely.

Back in New York, Spider-Man and Venom were once more swinging through the great city. However, they were now accompanied by Spider-Man'd sidekick, the Kid Arachnid.

His suit was very similar in design to Spider-Man's, but where the webbing details went across almost all of Spider-Man's suit, Kid Arachnid's webbing details stopped a v-design that was on the torso of his suit, reaching over his back. Other differences were that Kid Arachnid's suit was black with red rims, and that Kid Arachnid was younger than Spider-Man, making him shorter in stature compared to the veteran wall-crawler.

Eventually, the three landed atop a building across the street from a private business. Said private business had the name "Heroes for Hire" written in yellow on a poster above its entrance.

"The Heroes for Hire." Kid Arachnid said. "I actually get to meet Power Man and Iron Fist! I hear all kinds of cool stories about these guys from some of my friends."

"Just don't call Luke Cage by his superhero title." Spider-Man advised his sidekick. "He's honestly not a fan of it."

"Oh, okay. Got it." Kid Arachnid nodded in compliance all too quickly.

Venom raised his brow at Kid Arachnid before turning his attention to Spider-Man. "This is who you choose to mentor? Better yet, why are you a mentor to begin with? You are terrible with partnerships, Mr. solo act."

"Hey. The kid's got the same powers as me. With a few added bonuses." Spider-Man defended his sidekick. "Besides, you ought to know by now just exactly why I split you from me."

"Because you were not strong enough." Venom narrowed his eyes as he lashed his tongue on in controlled anger.

"Yeah. Sure. Keep telling yourself that." Spider-Man rolled his eyes behind his mask, prompting Venom to growl at him.

After the small conversation he had with Venom, Spider-Man felt his shoulder being tapped by Kid Arachnid. Spider-Man turned to see his young comrade motioning him away from Venom as the two moved off to the side.

Once Kid Arachnid was sure they were at a spot where out of earshot from Venom, he began to whisper to Spider-Man. "So, can you tell me why Venom's with us again?"

"So he can help us track down Carnage and deal with Doc Ock and his band of cronies." Spider-Man replied, simple as that. "What? Don't tell me you're scared of him. I mean, while it's understandable, his teeth are very off putting, he will be working with us on this mission. Better get used to his smiling mug for now."

"Pfft! I'm not scared of him." Kid Arachnid dismissed a bit too hurriedly, causing Spider-Man to cross his arms in response. The young wall-crawler than awkwardly coughed into his fist before continuing. "But, I mean, you told me Venom was one of your greatest enemies. And that he knows who you are behind the mask. The guy looks like he wants to tear out your guts every time he speaks with you. How can you be so nonchalant about it?"

"In this line of work, sometimes it's better to make peace with your demons than to always fight them." Spider-Man told his young protégé. "You're still new to the superhero life. You'll understand some day."

"Oh, yeah? Then what's next? We'll end up working with the Green Goblin?" Kid Arachnid asked, dryly.

As this was going on, Venom glanced over at the two web-slingers, growling inwardly at their hushed conversing.

"They're talking about us. I just know it." Venom thought to Eddie.

"Tell me a new one." Eddie replied.

"I still say we crush Spider-Man and finish off Octavius and his band ourselves." Venom argued. "We are vastly superior to whatever "team" Nick Fury was Spider-Man to form."

"Here we go again." Eddie muttered. "You really think you can take the Sinister Six, several super genius's, and Carnage all by yourself?"

"All by ourselves, Eddie." Venom corrected his host.

"You know what I mean, man! Maybe we could take on the Six, but we are not strong enough to take them all on and Carnage without back up." Eddie firmly stated. "Remember, this is our chance to prove we can be heroes. That we can help people. Do you want people to continue seeing us as a monster? You think I want that?"

Venom responded with a grumble. Though before he could give a proper reply, he looked back at the Heroes for Hire building, watching as two men in in heavy trench coats and hats walked through the doors. Sensing off about them, Venom smirked whilst narrowing his eyes.

"It looks like we're about to get some proper action." He muttered.

Venom glanced back to see that Spider-Man and Kid Arachnid were still talking with each other. He gave an annoyed grunt before camouflaging with the surrounding environment, making it seem as if he were invisible to the naked eye.

"Look, Miles, give Eddie and Venom a chance. If you do, I'm sure you'll find that you guy have a bit in common." Spider-Man said.

"Like what?" Kid Arachnid asked in a disbelieving tone.

"Well for starters, you guys are brash and impatient." Spider-Man listed off from his fingers.

"Hey!" Kid Arachnid yelled out in offense.

"But you both want to protect people. And and obvious part is that you guys where black suits." Spider-Man continued. "Fun fact. Just like you, Venom can camouflage with his surroundings. He's really stealthy for a big alien. Isn't that right Eddie?"

However, upon calling out to Venom, Spider-Man received no reply.

Kid Arachnid looked to see that Venom was nowhere in sight, causing him to widen his eyes. "Uh, Pete."

Spider-Man man let out an internal sigh as he turned around to see Venom was gone. She shook his head with a groan. "Eddie..."

But, just before the two web-slingers could any next action, they both widened their eyes as an alarm went off in their heads.

"Spidey-sense is tingling." Spider-Man thought to himself as he and Kid Arachnid looked over to the Heroes for Hire building.

In that moment, two figures were blasted out from the front of the building by a large gust of wind, destroying the windows and door as they crash into they crashed into the street.

The larger of the two figures was Luke Cage, the Power Man. He was very muscular African-American wearing only a plain, yellow t-shirt, jeans, black boots, black sunglasses, and plate style belt with his last name embedded on it.

The second figure was Daniel Thomas "Danny" Rand. But to the streets of New York, he was known as Iron Fist. He was man with the body build of a martial artist. He wore a green suit with that had a high yellow collar, along with yellow gloves, boots, and martial arts styled belt tied to his waist. The torso of his suit was designed open, revealing his toned chest, which bore a large dragon tattoo upon it. Lastly, he wore a yellow mask that only covered his head down to his nose. The mask had two long pieces of cloth stream from the back of it while the eyes of the mask were surrounded in black, crest-shaped rings.

The two heroes shook their head as they started to get up.

"And here I thought I would be able to enjoy a bit of meditation." Iron Fist remarked to his friend.

"We just got the floors waxed too." Luke stated with a scowl on his face as he got into a fighting stance. "Misty's gonna be pissed when she gets back from vacation."

The Heroes for Hire, along with Spider-Man and Kid Arachnid, watched as from out of the the wreckage of the building's entrance came two heavily armored figures.

The first of them was a man who's true identity was kept a secret from most of the world. But to many, he was known as the Beetle. A mercenary for hire wearing technologically advanced maroon and grey armor with wrist mounted weapons, green wings on his back, and a helmet with pincers, antenna, and yellow visors that gave him the appearance of an insectoid.

The second was a man named David Cannon. Whirlwind. A mutant with the abilities to produce powerful and destructive gusts of wind. He was entirely draped in green armor that boated retractable blades mounted to his arms, and had two fins jutting out from his shoulders. Lastly, he wore a large helmet with a thin, yellow visor upon it. The shape of the helmet was round and almost triangular, giving it the shape of a torpedo head.

"I take it this isn't a social visit." Iron Fist spoke to the villains.

"It's weed removal." The Beetle answered as he aimed his wrist guns at the martial artist.

"We're getting paid a lot of money to give you two a dirt nap." Whirlwind stated. "But to be honest, getting the opportunity to shred up Power Man is payment enough."

"I've really about had it with people calling me that." Luke stated as he cracked his neck and knuckles. "Let's see how well you can make tornadoes when I send you packing to the infirmary at Ravencroft."

In response to this, Whirlwind growled in anger, extended out his arm blades as he got ready to strike. But just before any of the four could make a move against each other, another voice entered into the fray.

"Please. Allow us to do the honors." Venom spoke for everyone to hear.

Iron Fist and Luke Cage widened their eyes in surprise to see Venom de-cloak himself, revealing he was hiding on the face of their building's second floor. Whirlwind and the Beetle made an attempt to see who the Heroes for Hire were looking at, but by then, Venom was already lunging out for an attack.

The black symbiote jumped off the building to slam down upon Whirlind, letting out a roar as he did so. The wind-powered mutant attempted to throw Venom with a powerful gust of wind, but the symbiote had came at him too fast and too hard for Whirlwind to produce an effective counter.

Venom smashed Whirlwind into the concrete whilst the Beetle flew out of the way. He proceeded to slash and slam his fists into mutant, causing Whirlwind to let out bowls of pain.

"Aargh! Gah!" Whirlwind bellowed. Part of his visor was shattered, revealing one of his eyes, which looked to Venom with a pained, angry expression. "Get off!"

Focusing his rage, Whirlwind blasted Venom away with a wind attack, giving him the chance to hop back up to feet and hover away in a small tornado of his making.

Once Venom had landed back onto the street, he looked to Whirlwind with a scowl, giving him a wide-mouth growl.

"You're gonna pay for that, your freak!" Whirlwind cried out as he and Beetle got ready to attack.

But just as Beetle was about to fire at Venom, shots of web covered his arms, preventing him from using his wrist guns.

"Hey, how come we weren't invited to the party?!" Spider-Man called out in a jovial tone as he and Kid Arachnid joined the fight.

"Spider-Man's here too?!" Whirlwind yelled out.

"Hey, don't forget me." Kid Arachnid complained, bearing a dejected look behind his mask.

"Okay, what the hell is going on here?" Luke questioned with annoyed confusion.

"A great question, Cage, my friend." Spider-Man said. "But maybe we should take out tonight's trash first. To be honest, I'm still a bit baffled myself."

Whirlwind's eye twitched at the scene before he growled out in anger. "Argh! Who're you calling trash, you little bug?! We'll take all of you on!"

Iron Fist raised his brow at Whirlwind before glancing over at Beetle, smirking at what he saw as he then pointed in his direction. "How sure are you about that?"

"Huh?" Whirlwind muttered as he turned to look at Beetle, only to widen his eyes as he watched his partner-in-crime fly off in retreat. "Where do you think you're going?!"

"This is above our pay grade!" The Beetle called back to Whirlwind. "You're delusional if you think we have a chance against them like this!"

"Get back here, Beetle!" Whirlwind yelled towards the mercenary.

However, this attempt had caused Whirlwind to clumsily turn his back to the group of heroes and Venom. Whirlind was quick to find the symbiote firing webs at his arms, tying them up. Whirlind tried to blast the webbing off of himself, but Venom's webs were too strong for him.

Whirlwind then watched as Venom began to drag him down with the line of webbing. The mutant tried to resist by trashing about in the air, attempting to get Venom to lose his grip. However, this had caused the symbiote slight annoyance as he began to twirl in place, swinging Whirlind around as a result.

Once he had gotten enough momentum, Venom leapt from the ground as he slung Whirlwind over his head, and sent him crashing back into the street once more.

"Ughh..." Whirlwind groaned as he tried to move. But it proved to be a fruitless effort as Venom had landed atop of him.

The symbiote then grabbed Whirlind by his shoulder, raising him up above his head.

"We do wonder what mutant tastes like. Sweet? Tangy? Zesty? Spicy? Sour?" Venom mused as his tongue began to salivate. "Let us find out together."

Whirlwind watched in horror as Venom opened up his maw wide, giving him a good look of all of his sharp teeth.

"No. No, don't!" Whirlwind pleaded as Venom went in for a bite.

"Venom!" Spider-Man called out to the symbiote, stopping him from eating Whirlwind's head. "Drop him! Drop the criminal!"

Venom shot back at Spider-Man with a growl, but the web-slinger was persistent.

"Don't you start with me, mister." Spider-Man pointed to Venom with furrowed eyes.

"Just do as he says." Eddie spoke to Venom. "I'll make sure you get some chocolate later."

Venom let out a groan before complying and tossing Whirlind away. "RrAgh! Fine!"

Once Whirlind had been tossed away, he tried to get back up as fast as he could in order to make his escape. Before he could do so, though, Luke Cage slammed his fist against the top of his head, knocking Whirlind out for the final count.

"Wow... he was actually about to him..." Kid Arachnid muttered as he stared at Venom with wide eyes. He then cast those same eyes over to Spider-Man. "This is seriously the guy we should be working with?"

"Some demons are more stubborn than others." Spider-Man shrugged as he walked over to Luke and Iron Fist.

"So... that was a fun little workout session, eh?" Spider-Man asked with a nervous chuckle.

"For him, maybe." Luke said as he nodded his head over to Venom. "Why's he even helping out, anyways? I thought he was one of the bad guys."

"It's a long story." Spider-Man sighed. "So I'll try and make this quick."

After that, Spider-Man explained to Luke Cage and Iron Fist about the breakout at the Raft. How they needed Venom to help track down the escaped convicts, and how Nick Fury wants the Heroes for Hire to team up with Spider-Man to take down down the criminals.

"This... is some concerning news." Iron Fist said with a frown. "But I think Luke and I can provide backup."

"Just so long as Fury helps to pay for the damages to our workplace." Luke firmly stated.

"Great!" Spider-Man cheerfully spoke. "Now we just have to wait for Agent Hill to come meet us with the other recruits, and we'll be on our way."

Just then, Venom felt a sensation going through his mind, causing him to give a curious look. "Hmm..."

Spotting this, Spider-Man raised his brow. "Something wrong, Eddie?"

"Carnage... we sense him closer now." Venom said. "Our spawn is not in New York, but he has returned to this country."

"And with luck, some of his new escape pals are with him." Spider-Man said as he pulled out his phone. "I'll call Fury and see if Hill can get here faster. The faster we catch these guys, the better."

[Location: 20 miles off the coast of Florida]

As of the current moment, a tiltrotor was being flown over the ocean towards the Sunshine state of the U.S.A. Piloting the aircraft was Vulture, who was accompanied by the Lizard, Electro, Scorpion, and Carnage.

Vulture activated the aircraft's communications systems as he contacted Doctor Octopus. "We closing in on our target."

"//Good.//" Doctor Octopus answered back. "//Remember, there can be no room for error. Grab what we need and get out of there as fast as functionally possible. The power source's guardian will certainly not show you any mercy should he catch up with you.//"

"Yeah! No kidding!" Carnage exclaimed as he hopped into cockpit, sitting down in the co-pilot seat. "I heard the guy can burn anyone alive by using their fears against them. The image makes me shiver in excitement!"

"Watch it, you psycho!" Vulture yelled at Carnage in surprise from his sudden appearance.

"//Fight as much you want, Cletus, but once you've obtained the power source, you are to leave immediately.//"" Doctor Octopus ordered to the serial killer. "//I will tolerate no room for error.//"

"You got it, doc. Hehehe!" Carnage responded with a wicked chuckle.

Vulture rolled his eyes as he began to end the transmission with Octopus. "Vulture, out."

Carnage then began to manically laugh as he stomped his legs on the floor. "Hahahaha! Nexus of all realities, here we come!"

Too he continued...

Author's notes:

Hey, what's up? I finally got this out.

Yeah, you see I started this chapter last week, and was hoping to have it done in that week, but then I started to get more ideas for the first chapter, which slowed my writing process.

For instance, I originally intended everything I had planned for Venom's introduction to all be in one chapter. But after some thinking, everything ended up being expanded and so I decided to write everything else in a second part.

Now, the way I'm starting the story right now is that I have our main four characters going through stuff in their world. Each of the beginning chapters will entail what they will be doing before being transported to the Taimanin universe. I decided to do this in the form of inspiration from how Earth's Mightiest Heroes started—man they canceled that show too soon. It's needs a revamp like Clone Wars.

I'm fact, I've taken quite a bit of inspiration from other Marvel shows in this chapter. How I started things off with the Watcher is inspired by MARVEL: What If? The old Hydra facility is in reference to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, when the Red Skull was trying to open a portal to Asgard. I've even taken from inspiration from the 90s Spider-Man the animated series when I had Doctor Octopus explain his plan. Vulture wanting eternal youth. Mysterio wanting to be the star. Lizard wanting a world ruled by reptiles. I brought in Alistair Smythe in homage to the cartoon, because I've been binging it for the past two weeks.

However, I will say that on a personal note, I may come back to this chapter along the way as I feel as if some parts are a bit rushed. Such as the short confrontation with Beetle and Whirlwind. I mainly just used them to bring in some more action to the chapter, but I'm not certain if I used the right way. I know I gave them the dialogue I wanted to give them, and had them take the direction I wanted them to go in, but again, I feel it may have been a bit too short. I'll just have to see what you guys think about it.

Anyways, after posting this, I'm gonna be working on a painting and looking at stuff for scholarships. During that time, I'm gonna try and make another revision chapter for Radio Taimanin Alastor, as I need to update that story, but we'll see how things go.

But moving onto the next chapter, we're gonna open things up with a fight. Some of our villains are going after the Nexus of All Realities, and if you all know who guards the Nexus, I'm sure you'll like what you'll see.

So with all that said, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter. Comment on what you think of the chapter. Maybe right reviews. And I will see you all next time.

Excelsior, True Believers.
