Dinner went by quickly. Once we finished, we all darted upstairs. Aria smiled as she got to the top of the stairs. We walked into the loft area.

"Well, everyone," Aria said, grabbing a book from our bookshelf and pulling it, "it's time." The bookshelf moved to form an opening in the wall. I was awestruck by what I saw.

Mermaids and mermen sat in pools of water. There were a ton of doors, and the ceiling was stories high! The doors had plaques of names. One door said, "Abbi, Bella, and Aubrey." Another door said my name! I walked into the huge room. The wall closed once we were all inside.

One girl had brown hair and gorgeous hazel eyes. She walked right up to me, smiled, and shook my hand. "Hi! I'm Abigail, but you can call me Abbi."

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Abbi. I'm Selena," I stated.

"My friends, Aubrey and Bella, are over there," Abbi exclaimed, gesturing to two mermaids. "I'm sure that they would love to meet you!" She took me over to them, and I knew that we'd become great friends.
