"Hyukkie-ah!" You called as you stepped through the door to the apartment you two shared, letting the warmth of home flood through your veins. It had been another long and boring day at work, but you always looked forward to when you would be able to see Hyuk again.
But when you stepped in, the place felt strangely... empty.

Usually, when you got home, he would always be at the door in the blink of an eye just to hug you and welcome you home. But today was different. He wasn't here.

You searched all over the house, calling his name over and over again. Still silence. Where was he?
"Hyukkie! Where are you??" You called one last time, before sliding into the sofa, snuggling into the armrest. He should be here. After all, today was a special day.

Just then, the doorbell rang. You perked up, less enthusiastic from before, but still hopeful. Was it Hyuk?

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAGIYA!!"

You jumped in shock, almost letting the door slam shut in the person's face.
"H-Hyuk??"

He embraced you in a warm hug, giving you a small peck on the forehead. "I'm sorry if I left you all alone, jagiya. I went to buy a cake for you, but then N-hyung was being annoying and kept pointing at a whole lot of different flavoured cakes..."

You smiled softly and leaned into his chest as he set the cake on the table. "It's okay, Hyukkie... I'm just glad you didn't forget about me."

He gave you a face of mock hurt. "How could I forget about you?"

Slapping him on the arm lightly and knowing that the next words you said wouldn't affect him much as he was used to it, you said your signature two words: "Go die." with a playful smile on your face as usual when with him.
