ranting

I want to rant a little - or actually a lot.
Let's get started

In Dutch you have the pronoun u. And not like the shorter version of you, just u. (You is je or jij by the way.)
You say u to your teachers and you should say it to adults, as a child. It's like a show of respect. It's like the German Sie.
But it's stupid.
Why would I have respect for someone only because they were born, like, twenty years before me? That doesn't make any sense.
I refuse to say u to people (well, except for teachers). You want my respect?
Earn it.
Also, adults don't say it to children, because yeah, why would they, children definitely don't deserve respect from older and of course wáááy smarter adults?
Ahum. At the age of four I had learned myself to read. At the age of five or something I already asked questions like: "why do we exist?" and "does God exist?" (That's a no for me, by the way.)
That I'm young does not mean I don't deserve respect or am dumber than older people. You are not better only because you're fourty instead of ten.
"We're all equal, but some are more equal then others."
Why can't we all just say je/jij? It's not that hard.
Also, why would I say u to the king? We have a king and a queen and everything, but also a government.
The king isn't doing anything, except for getting millions of euro's, and the only thing he had to do for that was being born.
Ugh. But I'm not going to bore you by talking about politics. Wait, one thing. We have a party leader who is like Trump. He is strongly against refugees and the Islam. He's a horrible man.
And the funniest thing?
The name of his party is the party of freedom.
The. Party. Of. Freedom.
I'll stop now.

Next topic:
School.
First I have to explain the Dutch schoolsystem.
At age four you go to the "basisschool" . The first two years, group 1 and 2, are kinda like kindergarten I think.
Then you have group 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
You're usually 11 in group 8.
Then comes highschool. In America you have something called middleschool before that, if I'm right?
Well, we don't.
I go to the vwo. That's six years.
Class 1-6.
I'm going to the third year. I'm thirteen now. Normally, you're fourteen. That's because I skipped group 6. Let me explain that.
I have had two "basisscholen".
I changed when I went to group 3. That's because they didn't have special education at my first school.
I needed special education because I am (sorry if this sounds arrogant) highly intelligent. I have an IQ of 171. The average is 100, I think.
So, I went to another school. They had a special class, called the Leonardo class, named after Leonardo da Vinci.
We were with eight children. Yes. Eight.
I had fun in that class, with people like me. It may sound easy go be highly intelligent, but it's actually pretty hard. I think different and I didn't learn how to study when I was in "de basisschool", because I barely had to do something. Because of that, the first year in highschool was really hard for me. But that's not what I want to talk about.
For three years I was part of the Leonardo class. But then, the school didn't have enough money to pay for it, and we had to go to a "normal" class. I was a year younger than the others, but I could skip group 6.

Oh, and here's a picture of my cats:

Well, that's my basisschool story. Now comes highschool.
I had a really hard time in the first class. Like I said, I didn't know how to study. Class two went pretty well and everything's fine now.
I'm going to class three next school year and we'll get chemistry and economy, and I'm definitely not looking forward to that.
And more important, at the end of the year we have to choose a "profiel", literary profile. We can choose between four profiles. They kinda decide what kind of work you're going to do, but I have literary no idea what I want to do as a job. I'm  not going to tell more about that, because I also barely know anything about that.
To finally come to the point of this rant: most school subjects are stupid.
If you don't need them for your work, you're probably barely gonna use them.
You can use the languages, but still.
I want a subject about life.
I want a subject about how you pay taxes, buy a house, get a job.
I want a subject about LGBT+. I had never heard of things like asexuality, pansexuality etcetera in real life. I only know about it because of Pinterest and Tumblr.
I think one of the reasons LGBT+ is not accepted, is because it's not normal for us to hear about. We don't know about this kind of things, because society doesn't talk about it.
I also want biology teachers to teach more about periods. Not only the biological things, but also what we girls feel when we have our period, like cramps and mood changes and everything. There is still not enough understanding for that, in my opinion.

I'm done
