July 1st: Top Five Favorite Characters You've Written

Hi, everyone!

This is the first day of the July Challenge, so I hope you'll enjoy reading!

Today's topic is...

Top Five Favorite Characters You've Written

Note: These won't be in order, because I'm too lazy to rank them.

James Kim:

He's a side character in a story that my friend and I had co-written, which is the first story of "Series of Completely Unrelated Short Stories". The reason I might like him better than the main character is that he's super quirky, super interesting, and super amazing. I mean, I guess he did betray the main character in the beginning, but at the end they're friends again. That is, before they—SPOILER ALERT—all die.

Lucille "Lulu" Spencer

She was my tribute for Truth Comes Second, an Author Games where I had only written one entry and then had to drop out of. Even though I didn't really write about her much, I still love her personality. She's not really like the usual character I write—you know, kind, soft-spoken, determined. Instead, she's basically dark and evil, wanting to kill everyone and stuff. She's a master of manipulation, deceiving everyone with her sweet looks, then killing them when they least expect it.

Also, her name.

I love it.

Callie ____:

Yeah, she doesn't have a last name, but it's cool. She was a main character of a story I wrote in 5th grade, and she was pretty badass. Basically, she fought a bunch of monsters and stuff, and killed all of them. I mean, she could basically do anything. Along with that, she wasn't just a helpless little girl who would sit around and cry all day, she actually did stuff. Kudos to her! xD

Kayla ____:

Wooo! Another character with no last name! I mean, she had a tiny, miniscule part in the "Series of Completely Unrelated Short Stories", which was mentioned above, but for some reason I love her character. She was a total boy-crazy ditz, but, you know, she was nice. I don't know why I love her so much, I guess she was just super fun to write. Her character basically just consisted of being a clueless airhead, and obsessing over guys and her "special friend", but above all she was really sweet.

Gleam Geoffrey Gayner

First off, can we just acknowledge the name? People who know me in real life will know exactly what I'm talking about, and honestly, I love this name. Secondly, this guy is actually amazing. I mean, he wasn't the typical tribute (he's my tribute in the Author Games: Maybe, Maybe Not), but I still like him nonetheless. Gleam is a totally heartless guy who basically has no emotions. He's cold and calculating, and will do anything to win the Games. Despite that, he has an interesting backstory about how he grew up in the slums and was eventually sent to live in District 1. Lastly, his backstory involved "The Bro Code"! TheShineOfTheMoon, I'm looking at you.

Thanks for listening to me ramble about my book characters!

This was probably super boring to read.

But stay tuned for another topic tomorrow! Bye!
