Alesa woke up feeling still tired and wanting to sleep. But more importantly, so woke up with Sky clinging to her. She smiled, his face was buried in her neck, their legs tangled and his arms around her waist, she could feel his hand resting on her arm. She kisses Sky's head. She wanted to wake up the sleeping Commander, but she knew he hasn't been getting a lot of sleep so she didn't. Instead, she puts her arms around him. She kisses Adam's head again, putting her arms around him. That's when she noticed how warm he felt. She loses her smile, she puts her hand on his forehead. He flinched a little, his grip around her waist tighten.
"Sky, you feeling okay?" Alesa asks. Sky didn't answer. She moves his hair, looking at him. "Sky." His eyes crack open.
"Yeah?" He mumbled.
"You feeling okay? You're warm." Alesa said concerned.
"No..." Sky mumbled again before he closes his eyes. Alesa's eyes soften. She puts her arms around him, holding him close. She stayed with him for a few minutes, at least until he fell asleep again. She crawls out from his arms, she puts on a pair of black shorts, a red tank top and black jacket with brown sneakers. She looks at Sky, she kisses his head.
"Be right back." She said softly. She then leaves, she's instantly greeted by recruits. She goes outside and walks over to the infirmary. She goes up to the desk.
"Alesa, good morning." The lady said looking at her. She leans against the desk. "What's the problem?"
"Sky's sick," Alesa said. She loses her smile.
"Okay, I'll notify a doctor." She said. She leaves, Alesa sits down in a chair, twirling her hair in her fingers waiting.
"Oh, hey Alesa." A voice said. She looks up seeing Mitch. She smiles a little.
"Hey. How have you been feeling? Any better?" She asks. Mitch nods.
"Yeah, just a few scrapes and bruises. Nothing new." Mitch said walking over. "So, what brings you here?"
"Sky's sick," Alesa said. Mitch nods.
"Ahh, okay. So I guess no meeting today...hope he feels better. I better go before I get in more trouble with Jerome." Mitch said. They both wave and he leaves. A few moments later, a doctor comes out. Alesa stands up, more specifically Sky's doctor.
"Alesa, I'm guessing he's in your room." They said. Alesa nods.
"Yeah, I left him sleeping, so he should still be there. But you know how he can be." Alesa said. The doctor nods.
"Yeah, I know how the Commander is with injuries." He said. They both leave and go to Sky's and Alesa's room. The sky was still asleep on the bed, half his face was covered in the pillows, his arms underneath it. Alesa goes over to him, she shakes him gently.
"Sky, babe. Wake up." Alesa said. Sky's eyes open. "Dr. Nas is here." Nas comes over beside her, he touches Sky's forehead.
"Ohh, yeah he's warm." He said. Alesa looks at the door seeing some worried recruits looking in. Alesa looks back at Dr. Nas. "He probably just has the flu but I'm not sure exactly. Do I have to worry about you leaving, Commander?"
"N-No..." Sky mumbled.
"Yeah, something is wrong..." Dr. Nas said. Sky's skin was a bit pale and clammy, his breathing somewhat labored, and he barely kept his eyes open. He looks at the recruits. "Someone go get General Seto." One recruit leaves. Alesa looks at the doctor. "This isn't some normal illness, this is something else. Here, Commander hit my arm as hard as you can." Sky's eyes open.
"What?" Alesa asks. Sky hits his wrist.
"That was weak. That's how I usually test his strength." Dr. Nas said. Seto comes in, stopping beside the doctor.
"He doesn't look good," Seto said. Seto touches Sky's forehead and his neck. His eyes glow. Usually, that would seem weird, but being with Seto long enough, Alesa knows he is searching for a problem. After a few moments, his eyes and hands fade back to normal.
"Well?" Alesa asks. Seto removes his hands.
"There's something but...nghh.....he's making my head hurt," Seto said as he touched his head. "I can't find it, it defended against me." The doctor looks at Seto.
"Can you cure it?" The doctor asks.
"I don't know. I'll try. But Alesa, he can't leave this room, under no circumstances, got it?" Seto asks. Alesa nods. Seto than leaves. The doctor stands up, telling Alesa a few things and then leaving. He closes the door, Alesa stares at Sky. She wipes the tears from her eyes. Sky opens his eyes and then closes them.
"A-Alesa.," Sky mumbled. Alesa takes off her shoes and jacket, she climbs into bed.
"Come here." She said. He buries his face into her neck, his arms going around her waist. She puts her arms around him, rubbing his back. Her hand moving up into his hair, she felt him relax, meaning he's asleep. She kissed his head. "You'll be okay soon."

It's been a few days, Sky's condition grew worse. The recruits started to question each other, the trust beginning to crumble the worse their Commander's health became. Seto's been trying various things, and he was starting to become affected by whatever Sky had. He was feeling weaker and getting dizzy spells. He knew what was happening to himself, but he knows it couldn't be what Sky has since Sky has no magic. Seto shuts a book, he gets up, stumbling instantly, having to grab the table for balance. He stands still, panting feeling his legs beginning to shake under his weight. He leaned forward, his head hanging low. He coughs, he squeezed his eyes shut, blinking a few times when his vision blurs.
"Seto?" A voice asks. Seto flinched, he stood up, he looked behind him.
"Jerome, hey," Seto said. Jerome took a few steps towards Seto.
"You don't look so good, you feeling okay?" Jerome asks. Seto nods. Jerome lowers his paws, Seto's skin grew pale. "Seto—" Seto moved Jerome's paws away from him.
"I-I'm fine...Sky's illness is just...m-messing with m-my...h-head...." Seto stuttered weakly. Jerome touched Seto's arms, he could tell Seto was gonna collapse if he didn't sit.
"Seto, sit down. You look like you are gonna collapse." Jerome said. Seto shakes his head. Jerome looked towards the door about to yell when Seto starts leaning to one side, Jerome puts his arms around Seto, Seto leaning into Jerome, his head hanging low. Jerome pushed on Seto's chest when Seto leaned forward. Jerome shook Seto, Seto groaned. He put his paw on Seto's forehead, he could feel the heat coming off his forehead. 'He's sick like Sky is.' He thought. Jerome picked Seto up, carrying him out. He hurried over to the infirmary.
"Need help now!" Jerome shouted as he went over to an empty bed, he laid Seto on it as he got two nurses and a doctor come over to him.
"What happened?" The doctor asks.
"I don't know. He collapsed, he's running a fever and is weak." Jerome said. Jerome moves out of the way, the doctor puts his hand on Seto's forehead, his hands moving just under his jawline and onto his neck.
"Check his hands and wrists." The doctor said. The nurses took the gloves off his hands and turn his hands over and the doctor presses against his wrists and hands. "Get me a magic detector." The nurses pulled out a small hand device, the doctor took it and Jerome looked at it. It was the size of a guitar pick, and the doctor put it on Seto's wrist, it rested on his wrist, an orange light flashing that was turning red. "His mana levels are low, dangerously low. Get the mana stabilizer now! Keep an eye on his vital signs!" A nurse came over and put her hands on Seto's neck. Jerome moves to the foot of Seto's bed, he watches the doctor stick a needle into Seto's hand, the needle glowing a faint light purple glow.
"On?" The nurse asks. The doctor nods, he rests the needle against Seto's hand.
"His pulse is becoming faint." The nurse said. The doctor turns on the machine, he puts a cloth around Seto's hand, Seto's shallow breathing starting to pick up, the faint glow turning darker slowly in color. The doctor sits on the bed, holding the needle in place. Jerome looked at Seto, Seto moved slightly, Jerome felt a like a burden was taken off his shoulders. The doctor felt that way as well.
"We almost lost him there." The doctor said. He looks at Jerome. "Let General Ty know and the Commander if Adam is awake." Jerome nods, he leaves. The doctor looks at Seto, Seto takes in a sharp breath, the nurse holds Seto's arm still so he doesn't mean up the machine. Seto turned his head. The doctor looks at the nurse. "Get the medicine for his fever." The nurse leaves. Seto opens his eyes, the nurse puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Shhhhh, calm down Seto. You'll pull the magic stabilizer out." The nurse said. Seto closed his eyes, panting heavily.
"Get some cold water and a towel." The doctor said. General Ty comes over.
"What happened? Is he okay?" He asks. The doctor looks at the General and back at the stabilizer.
"He'll be okay. Whatever Sky's illness is, it has been messing with Seto for the past few days. I've been keeping an eye on him, but Jerome brought him us like this. He'll be okay with a few days of rest, General." The doctor said. Ty nodded, he looked at Seto. The nurse comes back. She puts some herbs on a table, tearing them up. "He's running a fever. We are running out of medicine since the Commander is ill, and now that Seto is too, we need a resupply and fast." General Ty nodded.
"Alright, I'll get you your resupply," Ty said. Jason and Ian come in.
"What happened to Seto?" Jason asks.
"Sky's illness is damaging to magic users." The doctor said.
"No mages are allowed near Sky than. We can't have them falling ill like Seto. And why didn't Seto say something to you?" Ty asks the doctor. The doctor shrugs his shoulders.
"Seto and Sky are the same in terms of illnesses and injuries. They don't see a reason to say something till it becomes a problem that almost takes their life. Like Seto, if he would have passed out and Jerome wasn't with him, we would have lost him." The doctor said. Ty looks at Jason and Ian.
"We need a resupply of medicine, Sky and Seto are gonna run out if we don't get more. Do you need any right now?" Ty asks. The doctor nods.
"Yeah, but we're out. It is for the Commander." The doctor said.
"What is it?" Jason asks him. "I can get some from a town near us till the resupply comes." The doctor nods and Jason goes over to him. The doctor telling Jason in detail what to get. Jerome comes in.
"Something is wrong with Sky. He...He won't wake up." Jerome said. Ty looks at him.
"Is he breathing?" Ty asks fearfully.
"Yeah, but he won't wake up," Jerome said.
"He's becoming weaker and weaker. He fell into a coma I'm guessing." The doctor said. The nurse replaces the doctor, holding the magic stabilizer still in Seto's hand. "Let me take a look at him."

By the time the doctor got to the room, he could see nervous recruits everywhere. Not that they aren't already, just more than usual. Dr. Nas entered the room, Alesa was sitting on the bed, holding Sky's hand. Sky laying motionless in the bed, his breathing growing shallower and shallower. Becomes over and touches the Commander's neck and forehead. He bites his bottom lip.
"That's it, we're moving him to the infirmary where we can take better care of him." The doctor said. Dr. Nas looks at the recruits. "Go get General Jerome and General Ian." They nod and leave. Alesa looks at the doctor
"Is Seto okay? Jerome told me what happened—"
"He will be fine with some rest." The doctor said. Jerome and Ian come in. "We're moving Sky to the infirmary. And I'm not strong at all." Jerome and Ian go over, a few recruits as well. They get Sky up onto Jerome's back. Alesa follows as they go down to the infirmary. Jerome lays Sky on the opposite side of Seto just in case Sky could still affect Seto. He lays him down on the bed, the doctor checking him over. "He didn't fall into a coma."
"You still don't know what this is?" Alesa asks. The doctor shakes his head.
"That's all I can do, for now, I gotta check Seto's mana levels." The doctor said before he walked over to Seto. He grabbed the mana detector and laid it on Seto's wrist. The reader glowed a yellow color. "A little more time." The doctor looks at Alesa and the rest of them. "We'll figure this out, we will. They'll be okay."
