Hi guys.

So I'm going to rant because my parents are just UGHHHHHHH

So for those of you who don't know, I'm in the 8th grade. That means that I got my high school application. It also means that my parents become
COMPLETELY IGNORANT
WHEN IT COMES
TO MY
FEELINGS.

I want to either: stay at my current school
Or
Go to a school of MY CHOICE

But ever since my brother got into boarding school all I hear is
( bold is dad italics is mom regular is me)

Oh Chae, you should go talk to your friend at church. She goes to an independent school. (Its like a boarding school except you go home every day)

Chae, if you are going to get into Lawrenceville, you have to start looking into it now.

I don't want to go to the school that my brother goes to. I want to stay with my friends .

When i was young, and grandma to me out of my school I was angry with her. Then I understood that she just wanted the best for me. Soon you will too.

Mom! Can you look at some of the schools that I like?

Oh no! You're not going to any of these places. You're going to YECA!

I don't want to go there.

But its the best school! It gives you college credits and its close by! You'll like it there.

There are no special writing course .

You'll learn to deal with it.

And i know some of you are going 'it just sound like they care about you'

And yes they do care about me.
But it feels like they just want what THEY think is best for me and they aren't paying attention to what I THINK is best for me.

It feels like they aw pushing me aside and planning my whole life.

AND NOW
they want me to write an essay to the school explaining why I want to go there.

BUT
I
DON'T WANT
TO GO THERE

AND I KEEP TELLING THEM THAT
BUT THEY AREN'T LISTENING TO ME
ITS LIKE IM YELLING AT A BRICK WALL

AND ITS REALLY FRUSTRATING
BECAUSE WHEN I GET HOME ALL I WANT TO DO IS SCREAM IN MY PILLOW AND CRY

AND IM CRYING NOW BECAUSE THE MORE I THINK ABOUT IT THE MORE FRUSTRATED I GET

BECAUSE IF MY BROTHER NEVER GOT INTO THAT STUPID SCHOOL
THIS WOULDN'T BE HAPPENING
MY PARENTS WEREN'T EVEN THINKING
THEY WEREN'T EVEN THINKING ABOUT BOARDING SCHOOL
UNTIL MY BROTHER GOT ACCEPTED

I think that's enough for today. I have to finish writing this essay.
If anyone has any advice I would LOVE to hear it.
