Tests

I am sooooooooooo frigging glad I don't have to deal with exams (yet), but that doesn't mean I ain't gonna talk about minor tests and stuff, because screw it I wanna rant. So deal with it.

Anyhow, I had to write a science test yesterday and a math one today, so I've gots plenty to talk about (although it's mostly about the science test).

Ima start with the science test.

Is it a sad thing I actually look forward to them? I know I'm a total weirdo, but I honestly do. Although it's not cause edumacation, it's because I can be myself.

In other words a complete and total snarky, sarcastic, smart ass. Because I look at tests differently than what the average kid probably would.

They probably just want to get the test over with, I want to troll my teacher and teach her not to plagiarize questions/be a massive hypocrite.

  How?

It's kinda hard to explain, so I'll just show the original question, and how I answered.

Question: A pilot is deciding what day and time to launch her hot air balloon. Here is the temperature forecast for the next 3 days. (There was a chart here, but I'm too lazy to copy and it doesn't really matter so ye). If the pilot wants to fly as high as possible while using as little fuel as possible, what day should she go? Explain your answer?

My answer: Alright first things first, are we giving her the day, or the day and time (Either way my answer is still 2 days, but this might’ve confused some people)? Secondly, there are many more variables to consider than temperature when trying to make a hot air balloon as efficient as possible. Also, why does she have to launch it during the day? Why not at night? Is this some sort of publicity stunt? If it is, there are even more factors for making the balloon as efficient as possible. But if I have to make a judgement call purely off of this single variable I still can’t choose. Why? Because there are 2 efficient ways to do this and since I’m not supposed to be doing mass google searches to figure out which way would be more efficient, I shall explain both. The first is to go at a time of minimal temperature, this would be Mon… oh wait, you never said it has to be during these three days. Although I guess either way, it’d still be the same reasoning if I still have to make a decision based solely off of temperature, so I’ll continue. My reasoning for minimal temperature is that the air would be slightly more dense, meaning there would be slightly less negative buoyancy on the balloon. The other strategy is to go at a day of maximum temperature. Yes the air would be slightly less dense during a day like this, but since the air is warmer it would take slightly less fuel to keep the balloon heated. So I guess my answer is none of those days :-)

So yeah, science tests are fun. Math tests on the other hand are boring, because I've already done the frigging math anyway, and there's no loopholes to exploit like in science.

But hey, least you don't have to write essays in math am I right?
