unpopular opnion #1?

i have a huge opinnion on soulmate au's that use homophobia as part of their plot.

Shouldn't it be 100% accepting since no once can control who their soulmate is?

Also if the soulmates existed for such a long time wouldn'tve been intergrated into religion so it would have said something about it being your forever parner wich would then out the platonic partners one would have especially since people focus on romantic side of them. (i do this and am fine with calling myself a hypocrite)

homophobia should not exist in a soulmate story the only way it can is by people dumba**'s opinion which doesn't matter.

Sexuality in general can exist in that kind of story without homophobia, gender identity can change and fluctuate in a soulmate story since they should be bonded and connected to their partner in a way that's undescribeable.

yell at me i dont care lol, its just a thought, their world is completely different to ours, their entire history could be similar but there would be things that are completely different which is something people can forget when writing that type of story.
