I don't know why but I really want to try and write something full of feels but really short so here we go!  

"Come on! You're so slow! We're almost there!"
Dragging his friend across the battlefield full of bodies, both friend and foe, the crab kept going. He couldn't stop now, not after everything they'd been through. Not after everything he worked for.

CannibalCrab had sustained heavy wounds, most of which were still bleeding but the kraken had it much worse. But, through all of this, he had to keep going. He couldn't stop now.

Hauling up the stairs holding KrakenKid close, he could still feel his heart beating, though it was getting slower. The yellow eyes flickered open and back closed again several times. They were alone, no other living being around, and they were so close to the palace, he could literary taste it if he wanted to, but CannibalCrab had no time to spare.

Bursting into the throne room, he stumbled across the carpeted floor, eyes set on one thing. The golden seat, not too far from him.

The heart beat was slowing even more, eyes now shut.

Now in front of the empty throne, he gently lifted his leader and placed him on the throne, then bowed before him.

"KrakenKid, you did it."

Eyes creeking open one last time a slight grin formed. "Thank you. I knew I could count on you." He mouthed. His eyes shut.

Slumping to the side, blood continued to pour from the wounds.

Reaching out, CannibalCrab checked him.

The heart was no longer beating.

Why do I do this?
