If My Books Had Theme Songs...

So Wolf-Wisdom did a thing where she put theme songs for her books, then at the invitation of everyone else doing it, I really couldn't resist, now could I? So not only thanks to her for that, but Wolfy also gave a couple song suggestions that I really liked!

I didn't do books that already had songs for them like the Hamilton!Atlantis one or the song fic I did a while ago!

Without further ado, let's do some song stuff!

Sea Serpent: The Triumph

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

I really like the energy paired up with Sea Serpent in this song because I know it starts off kinda slow but it gets a lot faster as the story progresses, and you'll see that it'll sped up more kinda soonish too! A couple of lines I loved that I want to point out!

"Things looking bleak and they're bound to get worse."
Ace is getting more and more powerful and though things are already dark, it's not done yet.

"Send in your grimm, tear off my limb, strike me with bolts of lightening! I won't die!"
I really like this one because it applies to a lot of the characters and their determination to get through this, no matter what life has thrown at them.

"The battle seems unwinnable but all we needs a miracle."
This line particularly reminds me of the recent events with the mini civil war that occurred, where Tanith was sure it wasn't possible to stop it without either of them dying, but received a miracle.

"Can't wish away the dismal days, can't bring back what is gone. Won't waste more tears on yesteryears, instead we'll carry on!"
This one is pretty much most of the characters! They've all gone through hard times, but the past is in the past, and they have to go on in the future to get what they need, or want.

Anyways, enough of that, next!

What We Lost: I May Fall

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

This one I almost chose for a couple different ones, but this one fit the most. It mainly applies to KrakenKid in the story, who tends to be very cynical and it goes with the theme of even the mighty can fall. Plus, the line "I may fall, but not like this! It won't be by your hand!" applies to a lot of the events that will transpire in the story!

Sea Shenanigans: My Home

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Though this song was originally made for Gravity Falls, I particularly like like the tone of it and it's really fitting for this book! I could literally point out a million lyrics that go with it but I'll just stick to my favorites.

"Books and runes and dreams, oh nothing's as it seems."
I know I haven't updated this one as much as the others, but I do have a lot of plans for it! Lots of mystical stuff and just stuff that I can't do/fit into Sea Serpent.

"Welcome to my home, where nothing is normal, and I wouldn't have it any other way!"
I just like this little cheerful line because it fits with the book!

To Die In Battle: This Is Gospel

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

I mainly like this one for its soulful tune and the lines "If you love me let me go!" Because in this little short story, KrakenKid can't let go of the thought of CannibalCrab dying, but in the end, just focuses on the fact that he's alive now. How he dies is up to the future.

Hunters: Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

(Yes, that is the name of one of the chapters coming up, shhhhh) Though I still have a lot to show in this book, this song might help you see a couple things that'll happen. There is some trickery here and there, and I just like this song because it talks about watching your back for the people who are going to bite when you're not looking.

Just A Nightmare: Dollhouse

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

I'm not entirely sure why I chose this song but it just was the best fit for the piece. Nothing else showed a child growing up quite like this one!

To See Through The Enemy's Eyes: Stressed Out

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

This one I kinda cheated because I did use it in one of the chapters but I just really like this song paired with this book! The song talks about the tough life of growing up and wishing you could change it.

"When our mama sang us to sleep, but now we're stressed out."
This line particularly fits because the kid versions of Cody and KrakenKid are both really stressed about everything that's been going on, and so are the older ones. All of them just want to go back to the simpler time of being a kid and not having to worry as much.

Sea Ships: Can't Help Falling In Love With You

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

This song was perfect because I'm a sucker for slow burns so that's generally how I write the one shots, and this song displays that! Even the song title fits the story! I don't really think I have to explain myself much on this one!

Sea Of Feels: Crossfire

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

No other song could fit as perfectly as this one could. It constantly talks about the loss and sadness of people just trying to get what they wants, but getting caught in the crossfire of life. I can't even express how much I love this song and how I love how it fits in this story.

Field Of Fluff: Why Worry

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

For some reason I couldn't find a lyric video that had good audio so this will have to do! It's not just the song title that made me choose this one, but the general feel of it! Plus, it just talks about how you shouldn't worry in life, because it's not going to help you later on, just like how the book is meant to be a stress reliever.

Culpability: Here Comes A Thought

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

A huge part of this book is that because KrakenKid is stuck with Atlantis because of what happened and Cody feels guilty of it, they have to talk. Like, actually talk their feels out (Though they're not too great at it) but it helps strengthen their relationship over time. A lot of time, but still. Just the whole song fits!

And finally....

Tagged And Other Fun: Mad Hatter

[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]

Choosing a song for this book was really hard because this book is just madness, and then I remembered this song and I just went with it! The song is mainly about Alice And Wonderland but I just like it for this book!

And there we go! Thanks Wolfy!

I hope you liked this! Did you agree with my choices, or had a different song in mind that you think would be better fitting? Tell me and just be sure to comment in general! Plus, you can do it yourself, just tag Wolfy because she'll most likely wanna see it. Goodbye!
