Dear Baby Blooper- A Song Fic

I'll be honest, I didn't want to make a whole new book for another song fic so I figured,
"Hey, I have that book that I can basically post anything in, why not use that?"
So here this is!

This little short is going to be based off of the song "Dear Theodosia" Which is part of the Hamilton Sound Track. I changed the name to be "Dear Baby Blooper" to kinda fit the theme of it. The song itself is very heart warming and cute so I decided, "Hey, it fits and I need to write some fluff so why not?"

The song originally has two parts, one being Burr while the other is Hamilton but I'm just going to stick to the first half of it, and substitute Aaron Burr for KrakenKid!

If you want to listen to the song, either all of it or just what I'm writing, I added it in. It's seriously beautiful.
Anyways, LET'S DO SOME FLUFF

Third Person

Darrel, CannibalCrab and Gnash all giggled to themselves as they watched their leader make googly eyes at the crib in front of him. KrakenKid's yellow eyes stared in wonder down at the being inside of the crib, and couldn't hear the people behind him. In fact, he couldn't focus on anything other than the one inside that crib.

Of course, the other's found it adorable and cherished the moment. Never had they seen the kraken so soft before, and it was the funniest thing for them to watch.

"He's been up here for hours!" CannibalCrab snickered. "Ah, love at first sight. Isn't it beautiful?"

"It is his son," Darrel reminded him, but couldn't help but chuckle as well. "Of course he's going to become like pudding. It's his first child no less! This is all so new to him."

Gnash stayed quiet for a long time before asking, "Do you think he'll be different?"

A silence passed between them before Darrel answered. "Of course. He'll still be KrakenKid, but he'll change in little ways. For the better. Heck, ten bucks says he's going to accidentally start acting fatherly to all of us once Baby Blooper hits toddler stage."

Gnash scoffed. "You're on." He said, taking the gamble.

Gnash would lose that deal.

As the trio watched for a while, Darrel finally ushered them out. "We have to let him have his father moments, come on, come on! Don't spoil it!"

As CannibalCrab was being dragged away, he groaned. "Oh come on! Ten more minutes! Let me record it or something! It's not like he's going to burst into song or anything!" But in the end, they left the new father alone with his son. His first born no less.

KrakenKid didn't notice they left, or that they were there at all. He stared at the little bundle of joy below him, and softly smiled. The squid-kraken like child was wrapped in a blue blanket at the moment, sleeping soundly.

KrakenKid couldn't hear or feel anything around him as he stared at Baby Blooper. The world spun around him, but he didn't notice. A hundred years could pass and he wouldn't notice, because right now, he was in his own little world. No... Blooper was now his world. He was a father now.

Oh crap... He's a father now!

KrakenKid didn't know what to do! How was he supposed to raise a child? What was the right way to raise a child anyways?

He might have panicked for a moment, but then Baby Blooper began to stir. The small purple squid's eyes opened, revealing bright yellow eyes, and stared up at him. KrakenKid's heart stopped, now the world moving in slow motion. Baby Blooper's eyes hadn't opened before, but now here he was, and KrakenKid was the first thing he saw. Moments passed, and the older kraken's heart was spinning out of control wonder what the infant was going to do, but then it smiled, and KrakenKid froze. That smile rendered him speechless on all degrees and shocked to his very core. The world didn't matter now, all that mattered was Blooper.

Then Baby Blooper let out a pure giggle, and KrakenKid couldn't contain the biggest smile he could ever make from breaking out onto his face.

Here he was, face to face with his child. He didn't even realize what he was doing or saying until it all spilled out.

(Now the song begins!)

He slowly scooped the baby from out of the crib, carefully cradling him in his arms and began to sing softly. "Dear Baby Blooper what to say to you?" His heart melted just making eye contact with the child, who stared up at his father in wonder. "You have my eyes, you have your mother's smile."

Then, KrakenKid was taken back to a time where he just saw his son for the first time. He remembered how he first saw and heard him. "When you came into the world, you cried and it broke my heart..." He whispered, finding himself holding his child close.

KrakenKid had no idea how to be a father, but he was going to find out, one way, or another. He stood up, carrying his child with him as he started to stroll around his room. "I'm dedicating every day to you." He decided, then laughed, staring down at him. "Domestic life, was never quite my style." He said to his son, fulling remembering that he was a villain, almost polar opposites to a calm life at home, but he was determined to make it work. He looked down, and his son giggled again. He barely he heard the words leave his mouth. "When you smile... You knock me out, I fall apart." The kraken let out a breathy laugh. "And I thought I was so smart!"

Slowly, but surely, KrakenKid began to walk out onto his porch, and started to swim up. He held his son close as he climbed onto the roof of the Conch Command, before looking out. Not many people were out, but Bruce was training some Illithids outside that day. KrakenKid shifted Baby Blooper onto one arm and pointed out to the troops. He wasn't sure if the child could see it, but he hoped he could. "You will come of age with our young nation. We'll bleed and fight for you, we'll make it right for you!"

KrakenKid knew that the battle against Atlantis was shaky and handing that over to his son was too risky for his taste but maybe if he could improve it, Blooper will prosper more. "If we lay a strong enough foundation..." He started to nod to himself, smiling. "We'll pass it on to you," He glanced down at his son, whose eyes were starting to droop back down again. "We'll give the world to you, and you'll blow us all away!"

He sighed as his son started to drift off to sleep. He lightly stroked his head lovingly and couldn't contain his joy. "Some day, some day... Yeah you'll blow us all away, some day, some day..."

KrakenKid quickly descended from the roof and back into his room without waking the baby. He carefully placed him back into his bed, and sighed. Fatherhood would be an adventure, that's for sure.

Father...

KrakenKid pulled up a chair to the crib, and sat back, sighing. Memories began to flood back to him, or rather the lack of. "My father wasn't around." He admitted to his son, but at that moment, he wasn't sad, but determined. Determined to be a better father than his father ever was! He sat up, and made a promise to his son. "I swear that I'll be around for you."

Of course, keeping that promise wouldn't be easy. "I'll do whatever it takes!" Then he laughed. "I'll make a million mistakes but... I'll make the world safe and sound for you."

He stood up and started to pace around. "You will come of age with our young nation. We'll bleed and fight for you! We'll make it right for you! If we lay a strong enough foundation, we'll pass it on to you! We'll give the world to you, and you'll blow us all away!"

He stared down at his child once more. How small he was, and so fragile. He'd protect that at all costs. "Some day, some day..."

Though Baby Blooper might be an infant now, KrakenKid could tell he was going to be great. He felt his heart flutter at the thought of his son growing up. "Yeah, you'll blow us all away, some day, some day..."
