Welcome back to another episode of Munchy talks way more than anyone asked for. I overexplained everything again and even did like five examples when they asked for three a couple times. Sorry.
Okay so I'm gonna try and use actual trope names from TV Tropes. Also, for question 2, I'm NOT gonna include in*e*t/p*d*phil*ia, but trust me, I hate that.
List 3 shipping tropes you love:
Childhood Friend Romance
Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy
Dance of Romance
Bonus: Anguished Declaration of Love. But I prefer it if it actually works out. It gives me serious fuzzies.
Also bonus: The Charmer. I swear, my two favorite types of fictional characters are sweet, feminine boys and extremely flirty yet sincere people.
Also ALSO bonus (God, Munchy, just shut up XD): Break up to Make up. Yes for that self-worth, honey!
List 3 shipping tropes you don't love:
Sickeningly Sweethearts
Playing Hard to Get
Fake Relationship
Bonus: Offscreen Breakup. Damn, just let us see the character development, Istg. Biggest offender I've seen personally is Marco and Kelly.
Bonus again, because apparently I'm in a ranting mood: Because Destiny Says So. Honestly, as much as I loved Sailor Moon growing up, Usagi and Mamoru seriously never seemed to have chemistry, but they're married and have a kid in the future because fate so better ships are f*cked. Damn, this list doesn't even include All Girls Want Badboys. This is just gonna become me complaining about romance tropes. Moving on.
One emotional aspect of a ship that always gets you:
When they help each other grow past their faults and are super supportive. ESPECIALLY if one of them suffers from a lack of confidence. Gosh, I'm a sucker for a confidence-building friendship/relationship.
One physical aspect of a ship that always gets you:
Playing with each other's hair. Yes PLEASE, it's so cute when someone idly plays with their partner's hair. Or like, running their hands through their partner's hair as they kiss! MMM!
Multiship or Monoship?
Multiship. I seriously can't help myself.
Rare Pairs or Mainstream?
Either, honestly. As long as the chemistry is there and it's not just rare for the sake of being rare.
Polyamory or Monogamy?
Monogamy. Sorry.
If the ship is physical, reversible or not?
I don't know what this means and I'm not gonna look it up.
Do you always have romantic ships for fandoms?
99% of fandoms. Not every single one, but a VAST majority. It's fun to ship!
How important is the s*x*al part (if any) of your ship?
There's only like one ship where it's important in the slightest, and it's a fully OC ship. For the most part, I don't even think about it.
Opinion on platonic ships:
YES. Gimme. We STAN a good friendship!
List 3 Ships You Currently Love:
Marianne X Ignatz but also Marianne X Lorenz. I accidentally got neither on my route though because I spent so much time trying to keep their support points on an even playing field that Ashe wound up getting the highest with her just because he needed healing so often XD And then I took Ashe anyway because husbando material. Okaysorrymovingon
Okay so I ship Ryouta with Hiyoko but also Ryouta X Sakuya from Hatoful Boyfriend is surprisingly good and I'm glad people seem to agree with me. Good freaking fanart.
And I love boatloads of She-Ra ships, but Scorpia X Perfuma really has my heart. I'm there for a good, confidence-building, hella complimentary friendship/maybe something more.
List 5 OTPs From Past Fandoms:
Sailor Moon isn't REALLY a past fandom, but Usagi X Seiya
Max X Warren from Life is Strange. I really hated Chloe.
Steven X Connie. Yeaaaah, I think I'm officially "out" of the Steven Universe fandom. Future really screwed up my appreciation of the series.
Korellian X Trevlon from Internet Remix's series Fallen Empires. I feel so bad for not watching anymore, but it can get slow at times.
Amourshipping (Serena X Ash) from Pokémon. I'm definitely still in the XY fandom, but not the rest of Pokémon. XY was perfect so I got too petty when it ended and Ash's personality hard-resented again.
Opinion on the Importance of Marriage:
Not everyone needs to get married, but if you choose to, take it seriously. Try to make it work (as long as it's not abusive). Don't be one of those frivolous types who winds up having married four or five times. Marriage should be treasured, not just a title.
Opinion on OC Kids?
Not my thing, but I tolerate them.
