Once I got inside Alder's house, I took a bath and ate a few croissants.

"Omg!" I gushed, mouth still full. "This is SO much better than the ones back home."

"Well, croissants are from France." Alder replied matter-of-factly.

"I know, but." I paused to take another bite. "I didn't know it would be THIS good. I'm never eating the ones in England again." Alder giggled at my comment. 

After I finished eating, I was sent to bed in Alder's room. "Are you sure it's ok?" I kept asking her. I didn't want to have this much advantage, especially as I know couches aren't always comfortable.
"What did I say Mellie?" Alder replied.

"I'm family."

"Exactly. So stop whining and take the bed. I'm like a cat, I can sleep anywhere so don't worry about me."

Alder's statement relaxed me a bit as I knew now that she didn't mind, so I changed into the smallest pyjamas she had (Alder was quite a...... big person) and climbed into bed.

I was soundly asleep when I suddenly heard knocks coming from the window. At first, I thought it was part of some dream I was having but then the knocks became louder. I sat up and opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was a pair of bright golden eyes staring so deep into mine that it felt like they were looking into the depths of my soul. So deep it was like they were reading all my most private thoughts circling around in my head.

It must be that guy.

"What are you doing here?" I mouthed to him.

"Open the window." He mouthed back. I reluctantly got out of bed and opened the window. He quickly climbed in, too quickly that I tripped and we fell to the ground with a loud thud. With him ontop of me this time.

We both blushed so bright that you could see it like a night light across the room. We just kept staring at each other until a voice filled the silence.

"Mel? Mellie? Are you ok?" Alder called out from downstairs.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just fell out of bed!" I called back.

"Again? My God, Mellie. When will you learn how to stay in bed?" Alder's voice faded into the darkness as she trailed back to the couch.

Once Alder had closed the living room door, me and Gold Eyes breathed out a sigh of relief. After realising the position we were in for the past 10 minutes, Gold Eyes blushed again and quickly, but carefully, got off of me.

"I'm, uh, so s-sorry about that I don't know what I was thinking I-"

"It's ok don't worry about it." I cut him off, laughing while sitting up. 'His rambling is actually kinda cute, considering that that's what I normally do when I'm in front of someone I like........ naw, stop getting your hopes up Melissa,' I thought to myself. 'He doesn't like you back. Wait, do I like him? I mean, he is mysterious, the attractive type. And he does have a sexy-'

"lissa?.........Melissa?!........ Melissa!"

"Hm?"

"I've been calling you for a while now. What were you thinking about?"

"Oh, n-nothing." I knew that that was when I madly blushed, which gave him a curious and smug smirk.

"Was it about me?" He asked through his smirk.

"No..?" It was more phrased out like a question which made this guy's smirk grow wider.

"It was me, wasn't it? What in particular about me were you thinking about?" He started doing different poses to show himself off. The cheek.

"Oh I don't know, probably your cute rambling you always do whenever we fall ontop of each other. Or the fact that we always greet each other ontop of each other. Or the fact that you're always blushing around me." It was his turn to light up the room bright red with his blushing. The smirk was now passed to me because of my new found confidence.

"See! Like that!" I said, pointing a finger to his cheeks. "Is that brightness a sign that you like me? It is, isn't it?" I instantly regretted what I said and mentally slapped myself for it. 'OMG what have I done? Now he's gonna say no and he'll know that I like him and he'll think I'm a freak and-'

"Yes."

That one word let out a whole cage of butterflies around in my stomach. "Wha, what?"

"I like you. I haven't seen any girl like you and that, somehow, got me attracted to you. Also, compared to the people back where I'm from, you are certainly the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

That was probably the most cheesiest and overused line I have ever heard. But it worked because, before I could control my mouth, I found myself saying, "I like you too." That sent blushes across our faces.

Despite the blushing, Gold Eyes managed to return the smirk back on his face and say, "I knew it. I knew it! I knew you liked me! Aww look, she's even blushing!"

'So are you,' I said to him in my head. I quickly covered my face in my hands and I could hear Goldie chuckling. It took a while for me to be brave enough to look up, and when I did, I could see him right in front of my face. I gasped but he didn't budge. "Why did you come?" I managed to whisper.

"To see you," he replied. "And to warn you."

"About?"

"You're not safe." He said, almost interrupting me. "They're still looking. But I will protect you. With all my life."

And like that, he kissed me. But the second his lips touched mine,

He was gone.

Also, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! I AM FINALLY 13!!!!!! IceCreamPancakeStar you better wish me a happy birthday, or else..........
