(Picture above Calliope, chief of muses. She is the Muse of epic poetry, eloquence, history and writer's inspiration. It is said that she was Homer's muse to write the Iliad and the Odesey and Virgil invoked her for the Aeneid. She's also my fave one.)

May 3 My Inspiration

From Latin -inspiratio- means, in its root, so many beautiful things like breathing, a single inhalation; divine influence or elevating the intellect or creativity.

I'm mostly inspired by nature, its colors, shapes, aromas, textures, sounds... Everything becomes a metaphor, a phrase, a rhyme or a story.

Also reading. There's no better way to ignite imagination than a good book. I always stick to the classics, and fairytales, fables, myths and nursery rhymes; everything that makes me dream can be written down into a poem or a story.

Last but not least, having a cup of coffee, specially a cappuccino in the mornings or in the evenings in the old town's plaza is a pathway to heaven and specially good romance flows at its will.
