10 Books that Changed My Life 2nd Tag

I've read a thousand books. No joke! It's true!

Choosing from the 10 best that I've read it's a difficult task, but let's do it.

Not in a specific order.

1. The Bible- it's a compendium of books, from the Greek 'biblos' it's means library or anthology. In The Bible you can find history, parables, proverbs, tall tales, fairy tales, legends, mythology, dark stories, poetry and erotic tales. So it is a fantastic literary resource.

2. 'Las Aventuras del Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha' or simply 'Don Quixote' - everyone must read this book! It's a classic. Of course I read it in Spanish, -when I was 15- but I read some parts in English too. Wonderful! Brilliant!

3. Jane Eyrie by Charlotte Brontë- Who told me I could read this book when I was 12?!?!? Maybe that's why... Oh I loved this book!

4. One Hundred Years of Solitude (Cien Años de Soledad) by Gabriel García Marquez- El Gabo was just brilliant with this story! I read it in Spanish and in English. This time I can say translation did justice! It is a tremendously well written story with a great plot!

5. Del Amor y Otros Demonios (Of Love and Other Demons) by Gabriel García Marquez - you can see he is one of my favorite authors. This is another story that I wasn't supposed to read when I was 12! It narrates a story of a forbidden love between a priest and a 12 years old girl who's supposed to be possessed by the devil. It's simply amazing!

6. The Divine Comedy- I read this book in English, Spanish and tried to read it in Latin!!!! Wow! This is why this profound epic poem still delimits the boundaries of Heaven, Hell and Purgatory!

7. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott- it's all about Jo! I can see myself so perfectly reflected in that character!

8. Kama Sutra- Not the one sold in the sex shops! I read the original version. (Ok, well and that one too... It's is also a very... Enlightening ). I can say it is an awkward point of view of Hindu- Indian society by that time. Regarding to sex... Well, I couldn't ever be that structured! ;-)

9. Through the Looking Glass - The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland- Lewis Caroll is a freaking genius! No wander why the animated Disney version is my favorite movie of all times!

10. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen- Jane Austen is Jane Austen. That's it.

*** Bonus. Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Ann Jacobs- It's based in a true story and makes us reflect on how terrible was the life of a slave. It was a hideous and dark episode of humankind!

This is my selection of favorite books. It was fun to do this one!

Now I want to read what @LynnS13, @KarlOconnor @OwainGlynn, @Nyhterides, @Seasofme, @Stipey @KarimSuliman and @BillTemple1957 has to share!
