I was tagged by Goldinator to show you all my top 5 vanguard cards from 5 different clans. And I mean the original 24 from the start to the current,not those silly add-on ones *cough**cough*Touken Ranbu*cough*. Anyway,let's get underway!

Kagero-Dragonic Overlord "The Legend"

So what if this is a cop-out?! I like the card so it's here. Anywho,the Legend is the card that made not only Overlord but Kagero as a whole relevant again but also gave Kai a reason to return to the show! His on-ride skill is amazing as a lot of key Flame Dragons can be found with it and his GB2 makes him the best restander Kagero could ever want. And the fact that this is easily attainable is all the more sweet. Plus,that artwork.

Link Joker-Star-Vader,Nebula Lord Dragon

Ah yes. Link Joker. When this clan came around,it was instantly feared. And when this came around,we knew that that fear was well placed. First of all,it's Limit Break. If you Break Ride into this card with Infinite Zero,you automatically have a 27k attack just waiting to be unleased. The cost,while high,can be used well if used with low cost units or in a low Counterblast deck entirely. You did not want to go up against this Cyber Dragon in its prime.

Gear Chronicle-Metapulsar,Altered Dragon

Remember how everyone thought Demiurge would be great but then we saw the cost and the hype died quickly. Then this helpful dragon came along and hope was restored...for a bit. Anyway,in a Chronofang or Idea-Drone deck,this is a great first or mid-game stride,binding cards for a relatively low cost and gaining power for each one that was bound. He also happens to be a major fanboy of Cloud from Final Fantasy...just kidding!

Dimension Police-Hyper Metalborg,Heavyduke

Remember Dimension Police? These guys supercharged it with Legion and holy crap were they deadly! And when this came around,many people were instantly realized that even if it didn't end them,the one using Heavyduke would have a larger hand to defend and then repeat the attack again. And a glory skill on top of that is the metallic icing on the cake that is the manly as hell Metalborgs. Now if only we can get Bolt Tiga soon...

And finally...

Great Nature-Omniscience Dragon,Hrimthurs

I love this card. It has everything a Great Nature player could want. It gives a plus to the rearguard,adds to hand,and it's a really low cost. I always go into this card first stride when I play Great Nature to get a great plus to my hand. And let's be honest. This guy looks like a cat mixed with Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. He's just so adorable!
