Color coding denote rank like previously

Each soldier wears a black uniform shirt/buff coat

Black sleeves and no sash: common soldier
Red sleeves and red sash: officer
Gold sleeves: Royal guard
Gold sleeves and gold sash: banished heir

The first and most prolific soldiers are musketeers. Standard formation is six men wide and six men deep, each "block" laid out in a checker like formation on the battle field. Musket primarily, swords and daggers/knives for back up

Dont really wear armor cause A) they're a ranged unit and B) armor is heavy and you don't really wanna wear it while also carrying around a heavy musket, resting stick, ammunition and sword. If your a mercenary from a more let's say Slavic inspired kingdom you can even be carrying around a four foot tall axe weapon with a two-three foot almost cleaver axe head called a bourdiche for your musket rest.

Weapons: matchlock musket

The rest is a monopod/big stick with a U shaped fork at the top to hold the musket

Daggers

(Probably in the pike section)

Swords like the katzbalger, rapier, messer, hanger sword, maybe even a cutlass
