uhh so it's been a while guys, whoops?
anyway have this
1. Out of all your works, which is your favorite? Oh, my current ones tend to be my favorites, but right now I have to say 'Apaixonar', which is a Good Omens AU fic that I've published on ao3. maybe go check that out? eh?
2. What's the easiest genre to write, in your opinion? Easiest would probably be contemporary.
3. What is your opinion on self insert fics? uhh they're weird and I don't like reading them
4. How do you get your inspiration to write? In all truthfulness? I don't. I can't find inspiration. When I actively seek it out, I never get it. Instead, it comes to me through music, books, people. I'm extremely lucky to have inspiration strike me the way that it does.
5. Do you ever suffer from writer's block? If so, how often? Literally all the fucking time. There's no escaping it. Writer's block has murdered me when it comes to Sanders Sides which is why I haven't been writing for the fandom as much recently.
6. Which fandom is your favorite to write for? Currently, Good Omens. I've had a lot of obsessions in the past though.
7. How long are your chapters, usually? I refuse to publish anything under 1200 words. 3000 words is pushing it for a chapter.
8. What is your most favorite genre to write? Young Adult or Contemporary!
9. Do you only write for one fandom, or do you write for many? I used to divide my attention between Sanders Sides, Supernatural, Umbrella Academy, and Lucifer, but I'm mostly writing for Good Omens these days. All hail the Ineffable Husbands :p
10. Do you take requests? Yes! I encourage people to request things, however I always warn them that there's not a super high chance of it getting written if the prompt doesn't instantly inspire me.
11. What is your most popular fanfiction? Mm, I think it's Strikhedonia on ao3. It's The Umbrella Academy and my longest fic so far.
12. How many stories have you written? Fanfiction? 21. Original works? I cannot and will not attempt to count.
13. Would you consider fanfiction 'your thing' or just a hobby? Definitely my thing. It's a hobby too, but they're my best and most polished works, and I'm more proud of my fanfics than any other piece.
14. Do you read other fanfictions? Yes, absolutely! All the time, in fact.
15. What is the best advice you can give to other fanfic writers? Don't let the haters get you down! Fanfiction isn't a lesser form of writing and deserves an equal amount of recognition. Also, don't promise your readers anything. It doesn't tend to go well.
16. Do you believe in the stereotype that all fanfiction is smut? Obviously not.
17. Do you write smut/mature fics? ... mayyyybe but no way in hell am I posting any of those
18. Is there a story you're not exactly fond of? Have you gotten rid of it? Ugh my pre-middle school stories are a cringefest but I can't bring myself to delete them. I keep thinking, maybe I'll need them later, and then I never do.
19. How many years have you been writing fanfiction? Whoo boy, if you're counting the borderline roleplay games we'd play in elementary school, then an upwards of 6 years.
20. How often do you update your stories? Depends on the story. I updated Strikhedonia regularly, and I used to have an update schedule for my oneshot book, but as you can all tell I've fallen off track. I update Apaixonar (Good Omens) every few days because I'm anxious to get it out there.
21. Does it bother you when you read another fanfic and the characters are OOC? Yeah, sometimes. Unless there's a feasible reason, I dislike when the characters are obviously not in character.
22. Is it easy or hard for you to write? Easy when I'm passionate about it, hard when I'm not. Writing shouldn't be a chore. It should be enjoyable, and if it isn't, go find something you're actually passionate about.
23. Do you ever write original characters in your fanfics? On occasion. When I need background characters, or they're helpful to the plot, then I add OCs, but I don't make it a habit.
24. Have you written a fanfic about your favorite ship/couple? HahA YEAH! Ineffable Husbands, Logince, Percico, Drarry, etc.
25. Do you ever take inspiration from your life and add it to your stories? Eh, not really. Though I sometimes use friends' personalities to flesh out my OCs.
26. Who is your favorite fanfiction author? On Wattpad, probably DoubleJinxBuyMeSoda, Bekka911, and ricecrispbees. On ao3, ImprobableDreams900, dirkygoodness, and peachsneakers.
27. Do you have any inspirational figures? Mm, not that I can think of.
28. Have you made any headcanons/Alternate Universes for your fic? Yup. I go down different plots and AUs before I settle on the finished product, so I end up with a lot of different headcanons and such.
29. How long does it normally take you to write a story? It took me nearly two months to write 50,000 words for my Umbrella Academy fic, and it's taken me a month and 1/2 to hit the 47,000 mark for my Good Omens fic. So, not terribly long but not super short.
Thanks for reading if you read the whole thing, I haven't done anything like this in a while. I'd apologize for my inactivity again but honestly I doubt I'm getting back into the Sanders Sides fandom. Until Thomas releases a new video, I've been consumed by Good Omens despite the fact that it's been several months since the mini series came out lmfao. Anyway. Good night ~kc
