"Hurry up!! We are going to miss the damn flight." Jungkook yelled from the door.

They were heading to Hawaii for their 'Annual Jeon Family Vacation'. Though it was generally a two week affair, Jungkook had spoken to his parents and informed them that they would be staying only of a week since the first match of the season was only two weeks away and they both wanted to be back home for practice.

"Yeah, I am coming! Perfection takes time you know." Taehyung said walking into the living room wearing a loose tan shirt over dark tan pants. His dark curls styled back and away from his face. He looked so amazing that Jungkook's jaw hit the floor.

"Are we stopping by a photoshoot on our way to the airport?" He asked with a low whistle, looking Tae up and down, unable to disguise the longing in his voice.

"There is a runway on the airport is there not?" Tae replied holding back a smile.

"Seriously though?" Jungkook asked, his gaze roaming over him again.

"You like?" Tae cocked an eyebrow.

Jungkook looked away quickly. His face wiped clean of all emotion as he shrugged nonchalantly.

Tae sighed.

"I am meeting my in laws for the very first time. I want them to have a good impression of me." Tae answered with a shrug.

Jungkook frowned. "Why does it matter?" It wasn't like they were married for real, it shouldn't matter to Tae if his parents liked him or not. Why would it? He's never cared before.

Taehyung's face fell. "I want them to like me." He looked at Jungkook, his eyes unsure, "You don't think they should like me?"

"I didn't say that. Of course I want them to like you, I don't understand why you want them to though?" Jungkook asked, picking up his backpack and pushing his trolley bag ahead of him as he walked out of the apartment.

"I want them to like me." Tae insisted, following him out with his own luggage.

"Why?"

"Because."

Jungkook frowned at him. "What kind of an answer is that?" They got into the elevator and headed down to the lobby.

"A perfectly normal one. What's wrong with wanting your spouse's parents to like you?" Taehyung enquired

"You speak like we are actually a couple." Jungkook replied, loading their bags in to the boot of the waiting cab.

"We are. At least that's what your parents think, don't they? You said I was to be your loving, doting husband, right? So why shouldn't they like me?" Tae asked.

Jungkook didn't answer. He finished loading up their luggage. Tae held the door open for him but Jungkook ignored him completely and walked around to the other side, getting in and settling down.

Tae got in quietly and closed the door.

As the cab moved through the city he watched Jungkook silently staring out the window, his face cool and impassive.

His heart felt heavy.

Jungkook had been very quiet and aloof for the past week, ever since they got back from the hospital. Barely speaking to him unless absolutely necessary.

He helped Tae, dressing the wound, feeding him and reminding him to take his meds but it was like looking at a robot. He showed no emotions at all. No easy smiles, No silly jokes or comebacks, No flirting and definitely no longing stares.

He didn't know how to get him to stop being like this. He had tried teasing him, threatening him, fighting with him and even some light flirting, but nothing worked. Jungkook was completely closed off.

It irritated him. He knew he had done a complete 180 and tried to kiss him a day after he had called him a creep for touching him, but a week long punishment was too much.

He was trying, shouldn't that count for something?

He had tried to talk to Jungkook about what had happened that night but he avoided it, changing the subject or walking away. He acted like nothing had happened and it pained Taehyung because it was such a significant moment for him.

Did he not see how difficult it was for him to admit to himself that he liked Jungkook enough to want to try and give this a chance?

Did Junkook not feel anything for him? Had he read this all wrong?

When the self doubt rose to suffocating levels he shook his head to dispel the thoughts.

No, he hadn't read it wrong. Jungkook definitely cared for him. You can't be staring at a person like the sun shines out of their ass and walk around like a kicked puppy every time they said something stupid if you don't like them, right?

Right?

He turned to look at the guy in question who was still staring listlessly out the window. They had an hour long drive ahead of them, to reach the airport. He would lose his mind if he had to sit quietly with his festering thoughts.

"So...." Taehyung said, breaking through the tension in the cab. "Tell me about your family."

Jungkook looked at him and blinked, his face still stoic.
"What do you want to know?"

"Everything! What do they do? What are they like, anything you want to tell me." Taehyung encouraged.

Jungkook tongued his lip piercing, a cute frown formed on his face and Tae had to physically hold himself back. He'd always had a thing for cuteness.

"Appa is a techie and Eomma is a teacher. I have an older brother who is a doctor, his wife is a dentist. They have a daughter, she's three. I have like a million cousins who will all be there and I don't think you'll be able to tell them apart, let alone remember their names." Jungkook answered.

"Dude! I can't believe you're using reverse racism on me." Tae glared at him. "Of course I would be able to tell them apart. I am Korean too you know. And unlike you, I have actually lived there until recently."

Jungkook frowned again. "I wasn't being racist. You wouldn't be able to tell them apart because most of them look quite alike. My father has four brothers and two sisters and apparently the Jeon family has some very strong genes." He chuckled to himself as if remembering some private joke.

"Oookaayy." Tae whistled slowly. "Tell me about yourself now."

Jungkook's eyes widened "Why?"

Tae sighed. "Why are you being like this?" He narrowed his gaze. "We are married, Jungkook. I'm about to meet your family who thinks we are happily married and in love. What does it say about our relationship if I know absolutely nothing about you?"

Jungkook looked back out the window and Tae watched him swallow before he answered. "What do you want to know?"

"I don't know, what's your favourite colour?" Tae shrugged.

"Black."

"Black is cool. What else?"

"What else is there?" Jungkook asked.

Was he really going to make Tae work for every single word?

"I know you love football. Do you want to play professionally or are you aiming for something else?" Taehyung asked, genuinely interested in what he had to say.

Jungkook shifted uncomfortably "I haven't really thought about it."

"Seriously? What are you studying at University?" Tae asked.

"Theatre arts and cinematography." Jungkook answered with a smile. "It's an awesome program and I already have a few offers in hand." He announced proudly.

"Wow! Really? Anything I might know?"

"I have done a few commercials and small roles here and there. I will be doing theatre this thanksgiving." He grinned and Taehyung's breath caught in his throat.

He looked gorgeous when he smiled, his eyes lit up and Tae was enamoured by how beautiful his eyes were. Black eyes were supposed to be flat, not deep and endless like the universe with a thousand different galaxies.

He stared and Jungkook cleared his throat, leaning away slightly. Tae took in a deep breath. Now that he had accepted what he wanted, he was falling faster than he had ever imagined. He had never felt this way before. It scared him a little but it was also very new and exciting.

Before he could say anything to clear the awkwardness, the cab was already pulling into the airport drop off. Jungkook hopped out the moment the cab stopped, talking animatedly to the driver who helped him unload their bags from the boot.

So the no talking thing was reserved just for him then, good to know.

The driver waved them off with a smile to Jungkook that had Tae glaring at him.

They walked quietly through the airport and Tae's heart was beating faster with every step. They had a really long 11 hour flight ahead. They were flying first class of course, Tae had vetoed Jungkook and booked the seats for them both. So he knew that they were about to spend the next 11 hours in closed quarters with each other. "Private" closed quarters.

Well, as private as you can possibly get on a commercial flight.

He wouldn't spend this time letting Jungkook ignore him. He was going to force him out of his shell.

Even if it killed him.

~~~~~~~~
Jungkook looked around the cabin with wide eyes. He had never travelled first class before. The cabin crew ushered them to their seats which were plush lounge chairs instead of the regular seats.
They seemed to have their own private space, he didn't even know there was personal space on flights.
This was all a bit too much.
He sat down tentatively as the crew stowed their backpacks away and another offered them a hot towel to clean their hands and Jungkook was more than a little overwhelmed. He looked at Tae who looked extremely comfortable, maybe even a little bored.
He put on his seatbelt and settled for take off.
Once the plane reached the cruising altitude and the seatbelt sign turned off, a very poised woman approached them.
"Welcome, I am Jennifer and I will be your crew for this flight. Your essentials are stored right here in this drawer." She pointed at one of the million drawers in front of them. "This here holds the mini bar." She pointed at a foot cabinet. "These are your pyjamas and your slippers. Please feel free to use the lavatory to change and be comfortable." She smiled sweetly. "If there's anything else you need, please do not hesitate to let me know."
Jungkook nodded, his dread growing by the minute and Jennifer seemed to be waiting for something. Though her little smile was extremely polite, her posture looked impatient and that was making him a bit antsy.
Was he supposed to do or say something more? He had already thanked her.
He was about to lose his nerve when he saw Tae pick up his packet of pyjamas and head to the lavatory. Realising what the hostess was waiting for, he quickly picked up the other one and headed to the other lavatory on board.
He stopped dead the moment he entered. This bathroom was more lavish than his living room back home. He tried to stifle down the sense of foreboding that had creeped up in his chest. He quickly stripped his clothes and put on the light grey pyjamas. The pants were fine but the t-shirt was far too tight for him, and seemed to be made for a very small sized woman instead of a man his size. He stared at himself in the mirror.
He was bombarded by a sudden rush of emotions. He had been so proud earlier when the cab driver had told him that his son was applying to NYU and was a huge fan, apparently the boy had multiple posters of Jungkook in his room. Jungkook had offered to invite him to the next match. If the boy saw him now....
He was extremely embarrassed and after an agonisingly panicky moment when he thought it would tear, he finally managed to take off the uncomfortably tight t-shirt and wore his own t-shirt back on.
Quickly swapping his boots for the slippers provided in the packet along with the pyjamas, he walked back to their seats. He saw Tae seated comfortably, looking relaxed and still as handsome as ever in his own pair of pyjamas, he was accepting a champagne flute from the crew.
Jungkook sat down on his seat and quickly stowed away the pyjama shirt into one of the drawers, hoping Tae wouldn't notice. The crew offered one flute of champagne to him as well. His mind baulked at the thought of how much that would cost. He was already indebted to Tae for letting him live rent free in his apartment for an entire year, then he went and added this first class flight ticket and now the champagne. There was no way he could ever afford any of this.
He politely refused the offer and pretended to clear some nonexistent lint off of his pyjamas. He couldn't relax, still sitting upright.
"Please, I insist." Tae said softly.
Jungkook's head snapped up to look at him. Tae was holding the other flute out to him.
He shook his head in alarm. "I'm fine. I don't need it."
"Come on, for me?" Tae smiled, his lips slowly splitting into the perfect boxy grin.
He could start hyperventilating by how much that smile affected him. Was there anything he couldn't have with that smile?
It wasn't fair.
Jungkook felt hypnotised as he gingerly reached for the glass and held it as if it would crumble in his large, shaking hands.
Tae merely smiled and clinked their glasses.
"Do you like it?" Tae asked after Jungkook had taken a small sip.
"Umm.. yeah." Jungkook hesitated.
"Are you comfortable? Do you need anything?" Tae asked fussing over him.
"I-I'm fine." He answered, hoping Tae wouldn't ask about the pyjamas.
"Okay. Let me know if you feel hungry. The chef will make anything you prefer." Tae offered.
Jungkook gulped. He wasn't used to this kind of luxury and neither was he used to this kind of concern from Tae.
He was confused about the way Tae had been acting for the last few days. He was attentive, curious and very, very friendly. He had been actively calling him nicknames and if he wasn't wrong... flirting.
It was weird, to be honest and it made him feel suspicious of his intentions.
He had decided to let go and ignore the fact the Tae had called him a creep the other day, opting to pull out the white flag with cooking for him instead. But then Tae had flipped on him, trying to kiss him on the sidewalk.
He had panicked, his mind had been frantic. Drunk Tae had always been more open but this had been scary.
He'd felt cornered and angry and scared and hurt all at the same time. He'd been called a creep when he hadn't even realised what was happening and then he'd had to run to the hospital, worried out of his mind and then he was being nearly assaulted by very same person all within a span of 24 hours. It had driven him crazy and he hadn't been sure how to deal with it.
So he had done the one thing he could do. He had retreated into his shell, building up walls higher than the Empire State Building.
He hadn't thought the older would remember what had happened that night or would simply choose to pretend otherwise, but he hadn't, he had desperately been trying to bring it up, and that surprised Jungkook more than anything.
He kept wondering if there was some ulterior motive.
Every time Tae tried "flirting" with him, it sent his anxiety into overdrive. He didn't know how to respond.
What if Tae suddenly decided it wasn't for him? Or said he had seduced him or hypnotised him or something. He had done it before, he could definitely do it again. And this time it would hurt much worse than it had before.
He wouldn't survive it, not again.
The more the older tried, the more Jungkook pulled away, hiding into the safety of his mind, keeping to himself and avoiding any interaction with the other.
"I'm really looking forward to meeting your family, bun. I can't wait to-"
Tae was saying just as Jungkook was taking a sip of his champagne. He sputtered at the endearment and the flute cracked in his tightened grip, spilling the contents on himself.
"Fuck!" Jungkook exclaimed, mortified at what had just happened.
"Wait! Stay still." Tae frantically put down his own glass, pushed the call button and rushed to pick up the sharp pieces of glass off Jungkook's lap.
Jungkook had frozen in place as the crew hurriedly helped Tae to clean up the mess. They were both talking, Tae looked mad and their voices seemed to echo as if coming through a long tunnel and Jungkook struggled to focus on it over his own heartbeats which were louder than bombs at this point.
"Bun? Bun!" Tae snapped his fingers in front of Jungkook's face. "Why aren't you wearing your pyjamas? Your t-shirt is ruined." He pulled at the sticky, wet fabric.
"I-" Jungkook looked around wildly. "I-I am so sorry. I didn't mean to, it just-"
"It's okay. It's not your fault." Tae assured him, patting his arm lightly, in a soothing manner.
"Sir, if you want to change, I will have your seat cleaned in no time." Jennifer said in a concerned tone.
Jungkook looked at her. "I'm so sorry about this. I don't know what happened. I can help you clean."
"Are you crazy? It wasn't your fault, Jungkookah. The flute was obviously already cracked." Tae glared at the crew. "They should've checked before serving."
"I am so sorry, Sir. Please let me make it up to you." Jennifer wrung her hands nervously.
"No, I-" Jungkook started but Tae interrupted him.
"Let's go have you cleaned up and changed, Bun." Tae urged, holding his hand. "Have this cleaned, now! And then have the cabin manager come see me." He said curtly.
Jungkook rose unsteadily to his feet, avoiding the crushed glass everywhere. Guilt rose thick and heavy inside him, he had obviously gripped the glass too tight, it wasn't anyone's fault but his own.
He reached to the overhead luggage bin to take his backpack so he could grab the spare t-shirt he had shoved in there for emergencies.
"What are you doing?" Tae asked.
"Please, Sir. Allow me to assist you." Jennifer offered.
"I just need to grab another t-shirt." Jungkook replied.
"Just wear the pyjamas they offered you." Tae frowned.
Jungkook looked pained.
This was all too much.
Much too much.
He hated it.
"What's wrong, bun?" Tae asked softly.
"It doesn't fit me." Jungkook answered in a small voice.
"Why didn't you say something?" Tae asked. "I'll have her bring you another."
"No! It's fine. I have a spare." Jungkook said, grabbing his backpack but Tae was already speaking to her.
"I have never had this much trouble on any flight, ever! How do expect this to fit him?" Tae asked her, holding up the t-shirt. "This is obviously meant for a child."
The crew was close to tears. "I am so sorry, Sir. It was an honest mistake."
"Your manager, right now!" Tae said curtly.
Jungkook watched Jennifer hurry away and come back with another man in tow. The guy looked like he belonged on some runway in France instead of the flight. Tall, built, blue eyes and he was sure there would be dimples if he smiled.
"Mr. Kim! I'm pleased to meet you again. I am Eric, we've met on multiple flights." The guy smiled and like Jungkook had predicted, the dimples peeked.
"Eric! It's good to see you." Tae said with a tight smile that didn't reach his eyes.
Jungkook was feeling more uncomfortable by the minute. The guy obviously knew Tae and that would mean that Tae would now deny and ignore him, the way he usually did whenever they were in public. He should be used to it now, but he wasn't. He didn't think he could ever be.
"I am very disappointed with the service on this flight, Eric." Tae said sternly.
"I am very sorry Mr. Kim. Please tell me what I can do to make this journey more comfortable for you." Eric asked seriously.
"This is my husband, Jungkook. His champagne flute was cracked and look at the size of pyjamas he was offered." Tae held the shirt up again. "This is unacceptable. I need you to make sure he is looked after and comfortable for the rest of the journey. I will not tolerate any more mistakes, you understand?"
"Yes. Mr. Kim. I'm extremely sorry." Eric looked the crew and asked them to clean the seats before ushering Jungkook back to the lavatory.
"I'll have another t-shirt for you in a minute Mr. Kim. Please wash up until then."
Why did everyone always assume he was the one who had changed his name?
"J-Jungkook." Jungkook corrected.
"Sorry?" Eric asked.
"Just Jungkook, not Mr. Kim." Jungkook replied.
"Sure, Sir." Eric smiled and closed the door.
Jungkook carefully peeled his shirt off and used the wipes to clean the remaining stickiness off his torso.
This was all so unnecessary. He really should have fought harder when Tae had insisted on booking the flight tickets. It would've been so much easier in economy. He was never going to travel first class ever again.
The knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.
He took the fresh shirt from Eric and pulled it on as Eric picked up his discarded t-shirt. "I will have this dried and ready for you by the time we land."
"No, it's fine, really." He tried to take the shirt back.
"Please Sir, I must insist." Eric smiled again. "I just want to make you comfortable. Mr. Kim is an important guest and I don't want him to be upset anymore."
Jungkook nodded and walked back to their seats.
"Are you okay?" Tae asked as soon as he was seated.
"I'm fine." He replied quietly.
"Hungry?"
"I'm fine" Jungkook insisted.
"I'm really sorry, Bun." Tae said quietly, making Jungkook whip around to stare at him. "I just wanted you to be happy and spend time getting to know you better. This has all been such a mess and I can see that it has upset you. I'm sorry. Truly."
Jungkook frowned. "None of this was your fault. In fact it wasn't anyone's fault but my own. I have - I don't- It's just a little too.. I don't know." He threw up his hands in frustration.
"Let's just put this all behind us, okay?" Tae said with a cocked brow.
Jungkook nodded mutely.
Eric arrived with two fresh glasses of Champagne, offering them with a polite smile. Tae accepted his graciously.
Jungkook shook his head again. Once was quite enough, he didn't want to embarrass himself anymore.
"Would you rather have something else, Sir?" Eric asked kindly.
"Jungkook. Please just call me Jungkook."
Eric hesitated for a moment before he opened the well stocked mini bar in front of Jungkook.
"Would you like me to pour you something else, Jungkook? We have scotch, bourbon, wine, vodka..." Eric quietly pointed out.
Jungkook gulped as he could only imagine how much any of this would cost. "Just water."
"Flat or sparkling?" Eric asked.
"Regular tap water will be good." Jungkook tried to smile.
Eric frowned a little before his expression cleared. "Would you like something to eat? We have a full menu here or if you have something particular in mind we can ask our sky chef to prepare it for you." He said handing Jungkook the menu.
He looked through it, his hands trembling as cold sweat formed on his forehead. There were no prices mentioned. How rich would you have to be to not have prices on the menu? It was making him very uncomfortable.
He lightly thumbed the empty space on the side where prices should be as he looked over it. Eric probably noticed because he bent close, pretending to point something on the menu as he whispered "Its all free, it's included in your ticket."
Jungkook gaze snapped at him "Everything?"
"Everything." Eric confirmed with a dazzling grin
which Jungkook answered with one of his own.
Tae cleared his throat, making them both turn to look at him. He glared at Eric before turning his attention to Jungkook "Are you hungry? I know I am. Let's get a little something with our drinks and then we can decide on the main course?"
"Umm... yeah, okay." Jungkook said looking back down at the menu.
"Changed your mind about the drinks?" Eric asked Jungkook.
"Do you... maybe, have a beer?" Jungkook asked sheepishly.
"Yup, you bet we do!" Eric smiled as he shifted a few bottles of soda in the mini bar to locate the beers, picking up a Bud and pouring it into a mug before handing it to Jungkook.
"Give me a call when you decide what you want to eat. I'll be right back to take your orders." He gave a polite nod and left.
"He's nice." Jungkook said with a soft smile to himself as his anxiety settled and he could finally relax a little.
"A bit too friendly." Tae grumbled.
They ordered a few snacks and settled down with their drinks. The conversation flowed much easily now that Jungkook had calmed down.
"I can't wait to meet your family." Tae said with a smile. "I want to know how you were as a child."
"I was just an average kid, nothing special or extraordinary." Jungkook replied. "Nothing like you." here added under his breath.
"What does that mean?" Tae asked, slightly offended.
"Well, you know, smart, privileged, a football prodigy." Jungkook shrugged.
"I wasn't-" Tae started but was interrupted.
Eric came back to talk to Jungkook asking about his allergies since he already knew Taehyung's and took their orders. He also adjusted the air vents when he saw Junkook shudder a little and brought him an extra blanket.
Jungkook was pleased with how well he was being looked after, almost pampered. Eric was sweet and polite and did not make him feel intimidated. He had even offered to bring him spaghetti and meatballs.
Taehyung on the other hand seemed to be getting grumpier and grumpier by the minute, snapping at Eric for smallest things. But that wasn't really a surprise, Jungkook had always known Tae had the stiffest stick up his ass. So he ignored the older and enjoyed all the extra attention. The fact that Eric was smoking hot was just the cherry on the cake.
They ate in silence once Eric had served and winked at him in a friendly way after Jungkook had lightly punched him on the shoulder and thanked him.
Tae looked murderous and stabbed at his salad with unnecessary vigour.
Jungkook appreciated the mouthwatering dessert that Eric had added to his order and said as much, as he came over to clear their plates.
Taehyung stared at them like he was tasting something sour and refused his dessert. Pulling on his sleep mask over his eyes instead.
Jungkook decided to pick a movie to kill time for the rest of the flight as Tae slept fitfully beside him.
~~~~~~

"Crew to prepare for landing"

Tae woke with a start.

He quickly rubbed his face and checked his watch. They had reached and plane was about to land. He looked at Jungkook who had his headphones on, probably watching a movie.

Fuck! He had missed the whole time he'd had. All because the idiot greek-godlike creature had been flirting with his husband.

Eric stopped by their seat and tapped Jungkook on his shoulder.

"We are about to land. I have your t-shirt. Would you like to change now or at the airport?" He asked politely.

Jungkook pulled his headphones off "We're here?"

"Almost." Eric smiled.

"I'll change now please if you don't mind." Jungkook answered.

"Sure. Though I must ask you to hurry as we will be landing soon." Eric said as he handed Jungkook his shirt and led him to the lavatory.

Tae snatched up his own clothes and headed to the other one. He was going to have to calm down, because Eric was doing exactly as he was asked and Jungkook was always friendly.

It didn't mean anything. At least he hoped it didn't. He hated feeling like this.

Why was everyone else a recipient of those beautiful smiles and friendly words, except him? It made him extremely annoyed.

He changed and fixed his hair heading out to their seats where Jungkook was already seated.

"I hope you had a pleasant flight, Jungkook." Eric was saying.

"I did. Thank you." He smiled back.

Taehyung wanted to gag, or scream, or throw something, preferably at the crew's head.

"You should put your seat belt on now. I hope to see you fly with us again." Eric flashed his dimples again and Jungkook laughed.

"Definitely." He agreed.

Why was everyone always flirting with his guy? Like he knew Jungkook was attractive, he was very obviously ripped and had the cutest face that made one want to kiss his nose and give him whatever he asked for, but come on! This was atrocious.

Eric was going above and beyond the call of duty. Also the dimpled grins and winks were not only inappropriate, they were most definitely unprofessional. He would surely mention that in his review, the guy needed to be taught his limits.

Once Eric left and Jungkook had put his seatbelt on, he turned to look at Tae and he noticed the younger was almost beaming with excitement. His grin was wide and toothy, his eyes glowing, his foot tapping.

"All good?" Tae asked.

"Couldn't be more perfect." Jungkook answered.

"I'm glad you had a good time."

"The best. Thank you." Jungkook said earnestly.

There was no way he could write a negative review about Eric now, not when he had made Jungkook so happy, comfortable and also managed to improve his mood so much, something Tae himself had been unable to do for a whole week. He would write him a glowing recommendation instead.

No matter how much it pained him to do so.

Jungkook's tapping increased.

"Excited?" Tae asked as the plane touched down.

"I can't wait to see Eomma and Appa." Jungkook was practically vibrating now.

He was off the plane and racing towards the baggage counter and Tae had to jog to keep pace with the giant bunny who was hopping through the airport at top speed narrowly missing other passengers.

Tae couldn't stop grinning at the cuteness.

Once they had collected their bags and headed towards the arrival lounge, Jungkook started running again.

Taehyung followed behind as fast as he could without actually running.

Jungkook crashed into an older man and held on for dear life. Tae was about go pull him off when he heard the man give a booming laugh. "I missed you, Jungkookie."  He added.

Taehyung silently walked up to them.

Jungkook pulled away and then latched on to the woman standing nearby, who was sobbing profusely. "Eomma!!" Jungkook cried.

Everyone kept saying it but Taehyung hadn't really seen it until this very moment. Jungkook was still very much a kid. He was mature, opinionated, strong and extremely energetic. But as Tae saw the boy hug his parents, he saw the side of him, he kept hidden.

This was a kid living away from the parents whom he loved dearly.

"Oh! Is that him?" The older man asked, looking past Jungkook at Taehyung.

Taehyung walked to them and gave a deep bow. "Anneyeonghaseyo Abeonim, Eomeonim."

Jungkook's mother gasped as she looked at him. "Omo! Jungkookie, that's him! The one in your...."

Jungkook's eyes widened in panic and he hastily pulled his mom away.

Taehyung was utterly confused.

Jungkook's father walked up to him and offered his hand. "Nice to finally meet you, son." Taehyung shook his hand and respectfully bowed again.

Jungkook's mom came up behind his dad.
"You are so handsome. I'm so happy Jungkookie finally managed to find you. Welcome to the family." She gushed excitedly and then enveloped Taehyung in a tight hug.

This was the kind of hug only a mother could give, warm, tender and incredibly loving. It had Taehyung blinking back tears. He hadn't been held like that in a very long time and he found that not only did he miss it, he wanted a lot more of it.

He would do everything in his power to be liked by this woman no matter what it took. Before the week was out, she was going to love him more than her own son, he vowed.

She let go of him and he smiled at her. "Not more handsome than your son who seems to have inherited all his beauty from you, Eomeonim."

She squealed in delight and hugged him again.

He looked over her shoulder towards Jungkook and winked. "I'm keeping your mom, bun."

Jungkook narrowed his gaze at him. "I'm her son."

"Now, I am too. I bet she's going to love me more." Tae smirked.

"Oh! You are such a tease." She poked Tae's side making him laugh. "Come on! We have made a lot of preparations to welcome you. Everyone is waiting." She hooked her arm with his and pulled him along, leaving Jungkook staring behind them, with his mouth open.

Tae looked back at him and stuck his tongue out.

This was going to be so much fun!
