Let me down slowly

Marriage. They said is the happiest event that will happen in someone's life. Why not?

Being married means that you will be with the person you love the most and forever. And Taehyung agrees with that. Being married to Jungkook was the happiest event that happened in his life. He remembered being nervous and excited when he was in the wedding hall with many guests watching them.

He loved the moment during that time. A huge smile plastered on his lips while having fun with his husband, Jungkook. He cherished those memories for 3 years of being married to Jungkook.

But everything changed, in the span of 3 years, and those memories seem to be feeling of regret. It's not the best and happiest moment ever. The burning feelings Taehyung felt for his husband are not the same anymore.

Those burning slowly melted and turned cold feelings. Even if he tried to feel it again, it's not working like how it used to before. Everything is going down instead of going up.

He looked at the door when he saw it was open. He met Jungkook's eyes who looked away and went to the cabinet to change his uniform to comfortable clothes.

"I want a divorce" Taehyung spoke while sitting on their bed.

Jungkook stopped for a moment for searching clothes but continue again.

"I'm sorry if I gave up, I tried, I tried not to but we're both suffering in this situation." Taehyung said in his shaky voice.

"Are you tired of me?"

He looked up when he heard Jungkook respond.

"Yes." Taehyung admitted trying to control his tears.

"Why? What did I do wrong?  Am I not enough?" Jungkook asked looking at him.

"No!"

Taehyung stood up in front of Jungkook.

"You did nothing wrong, Jungkook. It's me, I felt like I'm lacking in our relationship. I don't know but I think I'm not ready yet to be with you. I want to pursue my solo dream, Jungkook." Taehyung stated.

"Can't we pursue it together? I told you, I'm going to support you no matter what happened. But why are you giving up on me? On our relationship? We build it for 3 years and now you want to give up." Jungkook stated by asking.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry Jungkook. I don't why but I don't see myself being with you. Even if we continue this, I won't able to feel those feelings with you. So please, let me go, Jungkook." Taehyung cried.

"Okay, if that's what you want, let's break up then. Taehyung, I wished you to be happy. If you ever find someone else, make sure he'll make you happy, okay? I love you, Taehyung and I am willing to let you go."

Jungkook pecked Taehyung's forehead for the last time and left the room, leaving Taehyung who was crying in a mess. He doesn't want to hurt Jungkook but if he continues being in a relationship with Jungkook without feeling the "love" he felt before, they will both get tired and their marriage will be useless.

For him, this is the better choice he can do for both of them. Jungkook deserved someone willing to love him the same way Jungkook does.
