Ch. 1

Why did nobody tell you that college life was so god damn hard? A little notice beforehand would have been great, than maybe you wouldn't have chosen Psychology as your major.

Basically, you would wake up, occasionally take a shower, never eat breakfast, go to your lectures, maybe see one of your two friends, work your part-time job, go home to study more and repeat exactly that the following day.

When was the last time you really went out? Or put some effort in your appearance?

Nobody really knows, since today seemed to be another one of these days.

Sitting in the back during your least favorite lecture, since the Professor seemed to hate you, you started an essay for another subject.

Maybe you could sneak in one of your headphones? Or even both? It would really help with zoning out the annoying voice of your Professor.

But even through your blasting music, some overdramatic gasps were heard.

Looking up from your laptop, you understood why they couldn't be called overdramatic. A boy with ash blonde hair and the most mesmerizing eyes was talking to the Professor. He kept smiling and nodding along with whatever the old meathead kept telling him.

Looking a bit further down his physique, you noticed that he dressed like some sort of millionaire, most of his clothing items were Gucci. He dressed comfortably, yet casually fashionable. And then looking at yourself, you really felt underdressed with your over worn sweater, ripped jeans and boots. You also chose the right day to wear your glasses instead of your contacts.

Sighning, you turned back to your laptop, compering yourself to a demigod would bring you nowhere.

You basically ignored the rest of the lecture and wrote your essay. Even though you felt some stares on you, you didn't think much of it, that is, until the bell rang.

You didn't even look up when you started packing your things to stand up and leave your seat. That was why you were shocked to see another person sitting right beside you.

It was the demigod looking guy.

A few seconds passed with you just looking surprised to see his pretty face so close, when you finally snapped out of it.

He looked like he was investigated in his notes and you didn't want to disturb him, so you carefully moved around him to get to your next lecture.

But sitting in the back of the room made being careful a lot harder than it should, that was why you had to bend slightly forward so you didn't hit anything on your way out.

That caused you to accidentally brush against his head and while you didn't think much of it, you heard a weird sound coming from him.

Looking back you saw him clenching his fists against the table and taking exaggerating breaths of the air around him. He didn't look that good either, as sweat was being formed on his forehead. Just as you were about to ask him if everything was good, your name was called.

"(Y/N)!!"

It was Jieun, one of your close friends. You met her in your first year of college and you two just clicked. She was an art major in the building beside yours, so it was a surprise to see her here.

You waved back and made your way down, totally forgetting the boy behind you and not noticing the way he was looking at you.

"Hey, Jieun, what are you doing here?" You asked, smiling as you hugged her. "Nothing, just wanted to spent lunch with my favorite person on this campus."

"What about Jackson? Is he coming along?", Jackson was your other friend, he was also a Psychology major, just two years older than the two of you. That was why you two didn't share any classes.

"He can't make it today, said something about a Professsor Meathead giving their class another last minute essay."

"Uff, I hate that old rag, he is always pulling shit like that." You complained as you two made your way to the cafeteria.

"I'm just happy that most of my Profs are all nice or young hippies." Jieun said, getting her already prepared lunch out of her bag. She took a hair tie and clasped her luxurious silver hair back in a high ponytail.

You two sat at the end of the cafeteria, it was kind of reserved for the older students.

"Of course you have nothing to complain about.", you rolled your eyes as you sipped your cold coffee. "Just coffee for you today, (Y/N)? I thought you were hungrier than that, I could hear your stomach grumbling a mile away."

One thing about Jieun was, that she had some kind of gift when it came to the five senses. She had really good hearing and she could smell things from an awfully big distance. It was no surprise that she knew you were hungry.

"Yeah, I will eat during my shift at the cafè today, Claire is making my all time favourite." You could feel the salvia building up in your mouth just at the thought of it.

"Sandwiches?"

"The sandwiches."

Claire was the chef at the cafè you worked as a part time job, she made the best sandwiches in the entire world, in fact, if you could eat one food for the rest of your life, it would be that amazing compilation of literal perfection.

Your train of thoughts was interrupted when  some trays were slammed on the table beside yours. You and Jieun looked towards that sound.

It was that guy again, followed by two others.

"Well, well if that isn't the sweetest one yet, is that you, Jieun?" The one with the black hair asked. He looked nice, his smile stretching up all the way to his eyes. His full lips were parted to showcase his pearly white teeth. Jieun and him had the same smile, beautiful and full of happiness.

You looked questionly at your friend to find her gaze already set on them.

"Jimin." She stated curtly and nodded in his direction. He made a move to stand up, but the other boy with brown hair and a coconut hair cut stopped him. "Hyung, don't do that..."

You couldn't understand the rest and quickly directed your gaze to the, by now, familiar face.

He was already looking at you.

You got caught in his eyes and couldn't look away. Apparently, he felt the same, his eyes darting between yours before finally setting on your lips.

Selfconsciously, you averted your eyes  to the ground. Did you have some coffee on your lips?

A movement to your left brought your attention back. 'Jimin' had set down next to you, he wasn't even looking at you, rather at Jieun, who was pointedly ignoring his stare.

"Ehm..."

"Oh, yeah, sorry, my name is Jimin and these are my packm- friends! Friends, Jungkook and Taehyung."

He nodded towards them as he stated their names.

Taehyung. A pretty name for a pretty boy.

'Pleasure to meet you.'

"It is nice to meet you." Jungkook greeted, quickly sending you a cute bunny smile. "What's your name?".

"You know who I already am, but this is (Y/N), she's a Psychology major, like Taehyung." Jieun answered for you.

You ducked your head and send them a quick and sweet smile. "Hello."

"Cute."

That voice. It wasn't like anything you had heard before, it was richer and deeper than anyone's, or so it sounded to you. You stared at the man who gave you the compliment and blushed.

"I wasn't talking to you, Noona. I'm sure (Y/N) could have answered that on her own, isn't that right?" Jungkook changed the atmosphere completely and looked at you expectedly.

"Of course, but I didn't mind it one bit, I mean, that was basically my life in one sentence." You laughed and sheepishly rubbed your head.

Jimin butted in,"Oh, I'm sure there is quite a bit more to that than you think, ain't that right, Tae?"

"Mhm."

These short worded sentences, if one could even call them that, made him sound disinterested, but the look in his eyes told a whole other story. Not once had he looked away from you, even though him and Jungkook were still seated on the other table.

"Kook, Tae, why don't you move your food here and sit with us?" Jieun asked, while playing with her lunch and not looking up, Jimin just smirked in her direction, as if he understood why she was acting so cold and shy.

Just as you were about to whisper what had been up with her, there was a slight bump to your right. Looking up, you were met with golden eyes.

Wait, what? Golden?

You quickly blinked and reopened your eyes. No, that was just your mind playing tricks on you, Taehyung had dark brown eyes.

Which were, not as you would have thought, looking at his lunch. Without saying anything else, he dug in his food.

You turned your head to Jieun, when Jimin asked another question.

"So (Y/N), how come I've never seen you around before?" The question itself wasn't weird or anything, but the way he said it made it sound sarcastic, and since he was openly staring at Jieun, as if he had asked her the question, made you hesitate.

"I don't really know, this is our second year, but I have never seen any of you either."

The statement hung in the air, as if everybody tried to ignore it.

Jungkook thankfully tapped in,"Me and Tae actually just moved here. Jimin is an art major like Jieun and is in his third year."

"Oh, that's cool, and what do you specialize in, Jungkook?" You tried directing the conversation.

"I'm a computer science major in my first year."

"That must be tough, I can't imagine doing anything in that department, I'm not good at computer stuff." You giggled. Jieun snorted and some water went flying out of her mouth.

"Yah, (Y/N), 'not good' is an understatement." She winked at you and you playfully made a motion to hit her, since she was at ease again. Now, you could clearly feel Taehyung relaxing beside you at the comfortable atmosphere, which oddly also seemed to calm you down.

"I could always come to your rescue, (Y/N)." Jungkook smirked as you blushed at his statement.

The others laughed, including Taehyung, but if looks could kill, Jungkook would be ten feet under the ground.

Lunch break went down smoothly and everyone even exchanged phone numbers. Well, if one could call it that.

Taehyung basically took your phone out of your hand and saved his contact information with the name 'My prince'. It came as no surprise though, given that throughout the entire break, he continued to flirt with you.

"And when I message you, as what will I be saved in?" You asked, feeling fuzzy all over.

"My queen, of course." He smirked at your reaction to that, which was blushing and mumbling incoherently. He also pointedly shot Jungkook a nod and smirk of superiority, which he replied with an incredulous laugh.

You had to get to your next class, so you bid your new friends goodbye. Looking at Taehyung, you contemplated if you should give him a hug. Deciding that you would give it a shot, but without him noticing, you did exactly that from behind.

You were shocked to feel electricity flow through your veins as your arms enclosed around him. Quickly telling him goodbye, without seeing his fierce blush and trembling hands, you made your way to your next and last lecture, smiling the entire way.

.
.
.

"Tae, you really should get that redness in your face checked out." Jungkook teased as they stood next to the table after you left.

"Yeah, it almost makes it look like you're blushing. We wouldn't want anybody besides your mate to see that." Jimin continued, drawing out the word mate in a high-pitched voice.

Jieun laughed along. Now that you had gone away, she could act normally around her brother and their packmates.

But that facade she put up in front of you wouldn't have to last, seeing as Jimin was right. Taehyung was your mate and soon, you would also discover other secrets.
