Chapter 47
~Minseo~
"Trending but for a whole different reason," Jungkook said, laughing.
They were getting ready to go back on the stage for their last performance. I was nervous, seeing as Taehyung and I sort of made a scene out there. I wanted to slap myself for not thinking things through and just acting on it. The last thing I wanted is to ruin their images. Not to mention, I knew there were already articles and people talking about it online.
"Any hate yet?" I murmured.
"You shouldn't focus on those things," Taehyung told me, reaching for Jungkook's phone and scrolling through what was being said. His eyes scanned what's written before he said, "I'll write a letter and make a proper announcement."
"W-wait, what?" I stammered.
Taehyung's gaze slid to me. "Why, you don't want to?"
"It's not because I don't want to," I hesitated, looking at the members before moving closer towards Taehyung and whispered, "I mean, we confessed and everything but... we're not officially together?"
"Why would you think that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes. "You should at least ask me if I want to be your girlfriend!"
Taehyung turned his full body towards me, "Why would I ask you when I already have the answer?"
I glared. Cocky. He was too cocky.
Taehyung smirked.
It seems like he was about to say something until we heard the door opened loudly. I looked up and saw Jiyeon there and she looked... really annoyed.
"What are you—" she began loudly.
Hoseok who was sitting on the couch beside us immediately shot up. Within a blink of an eye, he was right there in Jiyeon's space and we watched as he grabbed Jiyeon's face and gave her a hard kiss that just stopped her from finishing that sentence.
He pulled back and I don't need to look at him to know that he was giving her a stern look before grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the room.
"That was hot," Seyeon breathed out. All eyes went towards her. All eyes except for Yoongi who was lying down, eyes closed. She turned to face Yoongi, "Feel free to kiss me like that too."
"I'm not kissing anyone," Yoongi said, eyes still shut.
Seyeon crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at him before muttering something under her breath.
I turned to Taehyung who was amused by the whole thing.
"Does Jiyeon hate me now?" I whispered, trying to mask the hurt.
"She doesn't," Taehyung reassured me.
I shook my head, telling him that I don't believe him. Seeing this, Taehyung reached out and tousled my hair affectionately.
"Come on, let's head out," Namjoon said, standing up.

"Sorry about before," Jiyeon said as she stood beside me. I'm not going to lie – I tensed up when she stood next to me with Seyeon standing on the other side. We were watching their performances from the screen in their dressing rooms. I was happy when I saw that the fans were still cheering throughout the performances.
"It's fine," I told her.
Jiyeon turned to look at me, "It's just that Taehyung's got a really special spot in my heart. I don't like to see him hurt or sad because that affects Hoseok which also affects me too – but in a different way."
I nodded, turning my attention towards the screen just as Taehyung comes on. "I know."
"I'm happy you came back," Jiyeon said quietly.
I hesitated and then turned my attention to her. "You are?"
Jiyeon gave me a sad smile, "I had a miscarriage a while back. Taehyung blames himself for the miscarriage and when he vanished... Hoseok and I felt really bad."
I stared at her, "You... had a miscarriage?"
Jiyeon nodded, "Yeah. It was around the time the scandal broke out."
The scandal that claimed Jiyeon was cheating on Hoseok. As a fan, I couldn't forget the online comments that targeted both Jiyeon and that guy as well as sympathy towards Hoseok.
"I'm sorry to hear that," I said, quietly.
"Yeah," Jiyeon said, giving me a small smile before she placed her hand on my shoulder. "I'm just happy I'll see Taehyung smiling from now on."
"Was it bad?" I asked, quietly. "When I left?"
"It was," Seyeon said from beside me.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled.
"It's pretty obvious it wasn't easy for you too," Seyeon said, placing her small hand on my arm. "You came back and... well, confessed your feelings to him in front of the whole world."
I groaned. "Don't remind me. I wasn't thinking."
"It's cute," Jiyeon reassured me. "I think Taehyung was happy to see you here too."
"I'm happy too," Seyeon told me before surprising me when she wrapped her arms around me, nuzzling against me. My eyes widened at the public affection and Jiyeon grinned at me.
Seyeon continued on, saying, "We all are. Especially the members. I think they were a little worried you'd be wearing short skirts and going on dates with older men or something."
Oh God, that's something I don't miss. Still, it felt nice to know that I'm cared for.
You're right, Minchul, I thought to myself, smiling as I hugged Seyeon back. Home.
